Frederick Charles "Freddy" Krueger is a fictional character and the primary antagonist of A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. He appears in Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) as a disfigured dream stalker who uses a glove armed with razors to kill his victims in their dreams, causing their deaths in the waking world as well. However, whenever he is put into the real world, he has normal human vulnerability. Krueger was created by Wes Craven, and has been consistenly portrayed by Robert Englund since his first appearance. In the 2010 remake, he was portrayed by Academy Award-nominee Jackie Earle Haley.
Freddy is a vengeful spirit who attacks his victims from within their dreams. He is commonly identified by his burned, disfigured face, red and dark green striped sweater, brown fedora, and trademark metal-clawed brown leather glove on his right hand. Wizard magazine rated him the 14th greatest villain, the British television channel Sky2 listed him 8th, and the American Film Institute ranked him 40th on its "AFI's 100 Years... 100 Heroes and Villains" list.
Ashley J. "Ash" Williams is a fictional character and the protagonist of The Evil Dead franchise. He is portrayed by Bruce Campbell and created by director Sam Raimi. Throughout the series, Ash has to face off against his loved ones inside an abandoned cabin as they are possessed by "deadites", the evil souls of the dead. He was named the 24th Greatest Movie Character of All Time by Empire Magazine.
As well as appearances in the films, Ash has been featured in various comic book series and video games.
In The Evil Dead, Ash and his girlfriend Linda, sister Cheryl, and friends Scotty and Shelly stay at a log cabin in the woods, where they find the "Naturan Demanto" (renamed or possibly translated to Necronomicon Ex-Mortis in the sequels), the "Book of the Dead", along with a tape recorder. The tape is a recording of the owner of the cabin, who was translating a passage of the book. By playing the tape, Ash and his friends awake the evil spirits who can now possess the living. Ash's friends and sister are consequently possessed and killed one by one, until he's the last survivor. He finally destroys the Necronomicon by throwing it in the fireplace, and in doing so causes the possessed bodies of Scotty and Cheryl to rapidly decay and "die", and the evil seems to be driven back. However, the film ends with Ash being attacked or possibly overtaken by an evil spirit himself after leaving the cabin.

His hand spells death
He breathes his vile breath
No way you can stop him once he's out
He haunts your sleep
In your tub he hides down deep
He rips your face and no one hears you shout
He's come for you, what will you do
He'll slash you, and rip you, and cut you in two.
He's come for you, what will you do
He'll slash you, and rip you, and cut you in two.
His teeth are black
Flex metal knuckles with a crack
Maggots crawling all throughout his skin
He'll get them all
Everyone will hear his call
When the razors grip beneath their chin.
He's come for you, what will you do
He'll slash you, and rip you, and cut you in two.
He's come for you, what will you do
He'll slash you, and rip you, and cut you in two.
As the blood begins to splat
On his sweater and his hat
His rotted mouth smiles as you die
His color's red and green
His skin's not what it seems
He rips at it and tears off his own flesh.
He's come for you, what will you do
He'll slash you, and rip you, and cut you in two.
He's come for you, what will you do
