Gisèle MacKenzie (January 10, 1927 – September 5, 2003) was a Canadian singer, best known for her performances on the US television program Your Hit Parade.
She was born Gisèle Marie Louise Marguerite LaFlèche in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and studied violin and voice at the Toronto Conservatory of Music (now the Royal Conservatory of Music) in Toronto, Ontario. She had at least two Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio programs, Meet Gisèle, where she played hostess to Jack Benny, Clark Gable, Loretta Young, Fred Astaire, James Stewart, and others, and Gisele and Mr. Cable. She moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1951 to replace The Andrews Sisters on CBS Radio's daily program, Club Fifteen, starring Bob Crosby, where she alternated as regular vocalist with Jo Stafford. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1955.
MacKenzie recorded albums and singles on various record labels, most notably Capitol and RCA, Everest, Mercury, Liberty Sunset, Cricket Playhour (Pickwick). In 1953 she reached #6 in the UK Singles Chart, with her rendition of "Seven Lonely Days". Her biggest selling song was "Hard To Get" in 1955. She was also an accomplished classical violinist, who studied at The Toronto Conservatory of Music and performed many comedic musical duets with mentor Jack Benny. She remarked that Benny was so enthusiastic about his own violin playing that at each break in rehearsal he would get his violin and they would play duets.

From her album "Gisele" (1958) Music: Leroy Anderson Lyrics: Mitchell Parish Here am I with you in a world of blue, And we're dancing to the tango we loved when first we met. While the music plays, we recall the days When our love was a tune that we couldn't soon forget. As I kiss your cheek, we don't have to speak, The violins like a choir, expressing the desire we used to know not long ago. So just hold me tight in your arms tonight, And this blue tango will be our thrilling memory of love.
The guest star is Gisele Mackenzie...with yet another violin duet...but this time, Jack has a surprise in store.

In this episode of the Jack Benny Program, originally aired February 11, 1962, Jack and guest star Gisele Mackenzie take a shortcut while driving from Phoenix to L.A., get lost, and stop in a diner in a ghost town for directions. The cafe owner tells Jack a story about bad guy Tombstone Harry and the Cactus Kid, who have a gunfight over saloon singer Tess Mackenzie. Tess/Gisele sings "Buttons in a Bowl" for the cowboys. The Cactus Kid's gun, unfortunately, doesn't shoot straight. The episode is a partial remake of one aired November 2, 1952, titled "Buck Benny Rides Again," in which Dinah Shore was the saloon singer and "Buck" actually did show up at the rodeo. The other guest stars on the 1952 episode were James Flavin and Hank Mann. Thanks for watching!
