After trying out Komplete Select along with my Komplete Kontrol and Maschine Studio for a few weeks I decided to upgrade to 11 Ultimate. It may not be the best upgrade investment for someone who already owns a prior Komplete or Ultimate set but I find this as a great starting point for someone like myself who does not have anything. I feel this is a great starting point for someone who doesn't know exactly the sounds they are searching for. This gives you a little bit of everything and the work flow works very well with Native Instruments hardware along with Presonus Studio One 3 Professional

Having sent back the S61 and purchased the S88 this week, I thought I'd share my first few hours with Native Instrument's Komplete Kontrol S88 and the Komplete 10 bundle using it in stand alone mode (Komplete) and in Pro Tools 10 and 11.
The NI promo vids are great but this is my experience.
It was intended to be a short vid but ended up being around half an hour (sorry) as I wanted to test my new Mic set-up.

Here at DV towers we set our minds to figuring out to what extent you can use the almighty new flagship software package from Native Instruments: Komplete 9 Ultimate. What we came up with was to score an epic game trailer using nothing but the instruments and effects found in Komplete 9 Ultimate... in 24 hours! For the making of this trailer we utilized the new Premium Tube series of effects, the RC24 reverb as well as the Action/Session Strings, Damage, Evolve, The Giant libraries.
What we came up with goes to show how a quality sample library can cut down on the time it takes to produce and compose, allowing you to get your ideas down quickly. Yes, there are things we'd change, but its pretty close!

It may not be the best upgrade investment for someone who already owns a prior Komplete or Ultimate set but I find this as a great starting point for someone like myself who does not have anything. I feel this is a great starting point for someone who doesn't know exactly the sounds they are searching for. This gives you a little bit of everything and the work flow works very well with Native Instruments hardware along with Presonus Studio One 3 Professional

Having sent back the S61 and purchased the S88 this week, I thought I'd share my first few hours with Native Instrument's Komplete Kontrol S88 and the Komplete 10 bundle using it in stand alone mode (Komplete) and in Pro Tools 10 and 11.
The NI promo vids are great but this is my experience.
It was intended to be a short vid but ended up being around half an hour (sorry) as I wanted to test my new Mic set-up.

Here at DV towers we set our minds to figuring out to what extent you can use the almighty new flagship software package from Native Instruments: Komplete 9 Ultimate. What we came up with was to score an epic game trailer using nothing but the instruments and effects found in Komplete 9 Ultimate... in 24 hours! For the making of this trailer we utilized the new Premium Tube series of effects, the RC24 reverb as well as the Action/Session Strings, Damage, Evolve, The Giant libraries.
What we came up with goes to show how a quality sample library can cut down on the time it takes to produce and compose, allowing you to get your ideas down quickly. Yes, there are things we'd change, but its pretty close!
