Tea refers to several different meals in countries formerly part of the British Empire. Teatime is the time at which the tea meal is usually eaten, which is late afternoon to early evening.

Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea is a light meal typically eaten between 4 pm and 6 pm. Observance of the custom originated amongst the wealthy classes in England in the 1840s.Anna Maria Russell, Duchess of Bedford, is widely credited as transforming afternoon tea in England into a late-afternoon meal whilst visiting Belvoir Castle, though Charles II of England's wife Catherine of Braganza is often credited with introducing tea to the court upon her arrival in 1662. By the end of the nineteenth century, afternoon tea developed to its current form and was observed by both the upper and middle classes: "the table was laid… there were the best things with a fat pink rose on the side of each cup; hearts of lettuce, thin bread and butter, and the crisp little cakes that had been baked in readiness that morning."

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea is a 1910 oil painting by American artist Richard E. Miller, located in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which is in Indianapolis, Indiana. Like many of Miller's paintings, it depicts women in a sunny scene, filled with flowers, depicted in his Impressionist style with a distinct flavor of Japonism.

Description

Afternoon Tea has been lauded as one of Miller's best paintings, "a confident, mature work and an absolute knockout in coloristic power." He applied vibrant colors like bright reds, greens, and purples with artistic license, driven by decorative concerns rather than objective truth. By framing the two women with a Japanese parasol, Miller created a focal point that unified the disparate colors, patterns, and textures he juxtaposed so boldly, a hallmark of his particular style of Impressionism. The parasol was a device Miller would use over and over again, enamored of its "circular shape, ribbed structure, [and] colorful surface designs." The prominent brushstrokes are also a key feature of Miller's mature works.

Tasty (Korean: 테이스티) is a Chinese duo formerly based in South Korea and signed under Woollim Entertainment. Consisting of two male twins, Daeryong and Soryong, the duo debuted in 2012 with a single titled Spectrum.

History

Pre-debut

Jung So-ryong (정소룡), Chinese name Zheng Xiao-Long (郑小龙) and Jung Dae-ryong (정대룡), Chinese name Zheng Da-Long (郑大龙) were born and raised in Jilin, China, on (1988-02-25) February 25, 1988. Prior to their debut under Woollim Entertainment, the duo were trainees under JYP Entertainment. After passing the auditions for JYP back in 2006, the twins were sent to the United States and lived there for 3 years to train for their debut. During their stay in the U.S., the duo trained under choreographers that worked with Beyonce and Ne-yo. In 2007, the twins were backup dancers for singer and CEO of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin-young. After 5 years in training at JYP Entertainment, the duo decided to leave JYP after seeing trainees debut before them. Stated in an interview with Newsen, the duo said: “We passed the audition (JYP) easily so we thought everything would be easy too. But later on when other friends (trainees) joined in and debuted before us, we felt disappointed.”

Monthly Afternoon

Monthly Afternoon (月刊アフタヌーン, Gekkan Afutanūn) is a Japanese monthly seinen manga anthology published by Kodansha under the Afternoon line of magazines. The first issue was released with a cover date of January 25, 1986. Each issue typically has around thirty ongoing stories by various authors and runs about 800 pages. Afternoon has spawned many successful seinen manga series such as Oh My Goddess!, Genshiken, Blade of the Immortal and Big Windup! It is part of Kodansha's "1day" series, which also includes the magazines Morning and Evening. In its October 2008 issue, a spin-off magazine called good! Afternoon was announced to be launched.
