My daughter, Tabitha, loves playing mobile games. But, I worry about what Tabitha will absorb as she gets older. So, together with my parents, Ray and MarySue, I’m creating a kid-friendly tablet game called A Better World for Kids that brings out the best in our kids, shapes them into positive people, and encourages them to make the world a better place.

HOW DO KIDS PLAY THE GAME?
Kids will create avatars in the game that live in the virtual community, the BetterWorldians Neighborhood, interact with other kids, and get jobs based on gameplay kids already know and love such as Cooking, Building, and Puzzles. And A Better World for Kids will include actions like Learning to Cook Healthy Food, Sorting and Recycling using Match 3, and Solving Word Games with Positive Themes.
WHAT DO THEY GET FOR DOING THAT?
Kids will earn Do-Good Gold for Positive Actions and Positive Attitude and can use it to decorate their own home and visit friends, dress up in fun clothes and costumes, and even have their own pets to care for and play with! And in A Better World for Kids, the more good deeds they do, the faster and further they'll progress!
IS THIS ONLY ABOUT DOING GOOD IN A GAME?
A Better World for Kids breaks the boundary between the real world and virtual world – kids are encouraged to do good in the game AND in the real world. This is not just about sitting and playing on a tablet, but about going out in the world and doing good. Parents can even put in real world household chores for kids to do which earns kids Do-Good Gold in the game.
WILL THIS GAME BE SAFE FOR MY KIDS?
A Better World for Kids will be compliant with all child privacy laws and regulations. We are working with FTC COPPA certified safe harbor vendor, Privo, to ensure that we follow all best practices in making sure A Better World for Kids is safe. We also will use Sift's state-of-the-art, best-in-class monitoring techniques to ensure that any interactions between kids are safe and friendly.

"Embracing Our Differences" 2013 Art Contest
This video is made by me in order to support my entry entitled "Accept the Difference to Paint a Better World." The video explains the reasons and inspirations I have about my vision, life, love, and passion for art. I hope that my art may inspire others in a way to make our world a better place and also to learn to accept one another through the things we share together in life. I thank the EOD for choosing my entry this year and I hope to keep trying to do my best for the years to come. A Better World
A Better World (ABW) is an organization that is based in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada. It is a charitable organization, formed in 1990. Eric Rajah is one of the co-founders of ABW. More than 1800 people had volunteered on ABW projects by 2010.
Projects
ABW has several projects in Kenya, including the support of a hospital in Maasai Mara. ABW has also provided humanitarian aid to Burmese refugees in India. In 2009, Cross Roads Church in Red Deer considered partnering with ABW on a project to give two internally displaced persons camps in Kosti, Sudan access to a water source. In 2011, Azalea Lehndorff started the 100 Classroom Project, an ABW initiative that educates girls in Afghanistan. The goal of the project is to build 100 classrooms in Jowzjan Province in the space of three years.

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows
The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a website and YouTube channel created by John Koenig that defines neologisms for emotions that do not have a descriptive term. The dictionary includes verbal entries on the website with paragraph-length descriptions and videos on YouTube for individual entries. Each neologism, while completely created by Koenig, are based on his research on etymologies and meanings of used prefixes, suffixes, and word roots. The terms are often based on "feelings of existentialism" and are meant to "fill a hole in the language", often from reader contributions of specific emotions. Some videos involve a large number of photographs, such as the video for Vemödalen, which uses an "almost exhausting—yet seamless—fusion of 465 similar photos from different photographers". Other videos are more personal, such as Avenoir,which involves a "collage of his own home movies to piece together an exploration of life’s linearity". A Better World for Kids breaks the boundary between the real world and virtual world – kids are encouraged to do good in the game AND in the real world. This is not just about sitting and playing on a tablet, but about going out in the world and doing good. Parents can even put in real world household chores for kids to do which earns kids Do-Good Gold in the game.
WILL THIS GAME BE SAFE FOR MY KIDS?
A Better World for Kids will be compliant with all child privacy laws and regulations. We are working with FTC COPPA certified safe harbor vendor, Privo, to ensure that we follow all best practices in making sure A Better World for Kids is safe. A Better World for Kids breaks the boundary between the real world and virtual world – kids are encouraged to do good in the game AND in the real world. This is not just about sitting and playing on a tablet, but about going out in the world and doing good. Parents can even put in real world household chores for kids to do which earns kids Do-Good Gold in the game.

The two-seater includes a buckypaper reinforced body that is stronger than steel and lighter than carbon fiber as well as dual electric engines that can be recharged via solar panels or through an inductive power transfer system.
2.McLaren JetSet by Marianna Merenmies-Marianna Merenmies presents a single seater concept, the McLaren JetSet. Its perfect design combines lightness and aerodynamic efficiency. McLaren styling in the front blends with a futuristic backside fit, featuring drag-reducing draped fenders. The ultralight carbon fiber composites in the chassis, body, suspension and wheels lead to the car's weight minimization.

These laws guarantee immutability of all life processes in this ever-changing world. But why and for what reason do these laws exist? Are they accidental or do they have a reasonable legislator? No scientific methods can directly prove or disprove the divine or accidental origin of these laws. One can only result in logical arguments in favour of one or the other approach. However, it is better to analyse these concepts one by one and look at the prospects for human evolution to which these two different models of origin of the world and laws lead.

At the lecture, prof. John Lennox presents two systems of thinking which seem to go against each other: a materialistic one (Does only this world exist, only substance?) and a theistic one (does something, which transcendents the substance, exist, too?). There is no simple answer to this introductory question. If there was, all scientists would be atheists and not one of them would have been a theist. The conflict is not between science and faith, but between two thinking systems which go against each other, the materialistic one on one side and the theistic one on the other. Science lies between them, To which one of these systems do the proofs of science lean towards? To dedicate one's self to science requires faith in the understability of the universe, an assumption that the universe is based on order which the scientists are able to discover.
Prof. Lennox explains the consequences and implications of both views for science and at the same time comments logical mistakes or incorrect assumptions or options, which the representatives of New atheism offer. At the presentation, you will be challenged to consider whether despite the generally widespread concept of 'religion stopping or limiting scientific work', the theistic view of the world is not a better start for the development of science than the materialistic one.
The lecture will also be published with Czech bubtitles within 3 weeks from publishing this file.
