Fred et Jamy nous font découvrir les rouages de la Tour Eiffel et nous révèlent tout sur cette grande dame de 107 ans.
Ils nous expliquent la construction de chacune de ses parties - les fondations, les piliers, les arbalétriers, l'ossature de 103 000 tonnes avec ses ascenseurs, ses locaux... - et nous entraînent dans les machineries du pilier ouest, là où on trouve les fameux ascenseurs hydrauliques, construits en 1899, et qui étaient conduits par un chauffeur il y a peu de temps encore.
La tour est un chantier permanent où travaillent des alpinistes, des peintres, des pompiers, des ingénieurs... Car il faut l'entretenir quotidiennement : changer les 18000 pièces de son ossature, la repeindre tous les 7 ans pour prévenir la rouille... Imaginez ! 17 couches de peinture la recouvrent depuis sa construction en 1889 !
Mais la tour n'est pas qu'un lieu touristique ! Son sommet, coiffé d'un paratonnerre, joue aussi le rôle d'émetteur récepteur pour la radio et la télévision grâce à l'antenne du 4ème étage. La tour Eiffel dans toute sa splendeur.
La tour Eiffel a été construite en 1889. Il a fallu 2 ans 2 mois et 15 jours seulement pour l'ériger. Elle est dans le ciel de Paris depuis + de 123 ans. Elle est ouverte au public tous les jours de l'année, de 9h30 à 23h45 et de 9h à 00h45 en été.
On peut accéder aux différents étages de la Tour ouverts au public soit par les escaliers soit par les ascenseurs. Les ascenseurs de la Tour desservent les trois étages ouverts au public : vous devez simplement changer d'ascenseur pour atteindre au sommet.
Le 1er étage de la tour Eiffel c'est le plus vaste de la Tour, c'est l'étage dans lequel on a le temps de flâner, d'acheter pourquoi pas un souvenir dans la boutique officielle, ou de profiter du restaurant 58 tour Eiffel qui est ouvert sur une large amplitude horaire.
Le 2e étage, on le dit traditionnellement plutôt réservé aux photos. C'est de là qu'on a la plus belle vue sur Paris et l'ensemble des monuments qui composent le paysage parisien.
Le sommet enfin, c'est celui des sensations fortes. C'est là que l'on s'élève le plus dans les airs, que l'on a le + la sensation du vent, puisque la Tour est toute en transparence et en dentelle. C'est aussi l'étage privilégié des amoureux pour se déclarer leur flamme et pourquoi pas profiter d'une coupe de champagne au comptoir que nous avons installé tout là-haut, à 276m au-dessus du sol.
La tour Eiffel se visite aussi bien de jour que de nuit sur une très large amplitude horaire. Pour organiser au mieux sa visite, nous vous conseillons de réserver en ligne vos billets sur le site internet officiel de la tour Eiffel. Ça vous permet de gagner du temps et de profiter au mieux du monument et de tout ce qu'il a à offrir. Nous accueillons 7 millions de visiteurs par an. La Tour Eiffel - Paris - France
C'est à l'occasion de l'Exposition Universelle de 1889, date qui marquait le centenaire de la Révolution française qu'un grand concours est lancé dans le Journal Officiel.L'enjeu : « Etudier la possibilité d'élever sur le Champ-de-Mars une tour de fer, à base carrée, de 125 mètres de côté et de 300 mètres de hauteur ».Choisi parmi 107 projets, c'est celui de Gustave Eiffel, entrepreneur, Maurice Koechlin et Emile Nouguier, ingénieurs, et Stephen Sauvestre, architecte, qui est retenu.
Les premiers coups de pelle sont donnés le 28 janvier 1887. Le 31 mars 1889, la Tour achevée en un temps record - 2 ans, 2 mois et 5 jours - s'impose comme une véritable prouesse technique. Elle fut à la fin du 19ème siècle un point d'orguede l'ère industrielle et la démonstration du génie français incarné par Gustave Eiffel. Destinée initialement à durer seulement 20 ans, elle fut sauvée par les expériences scientifiques qu'Eiffel favorisa, en particulier les premières transmissions radio, puis les télécommunications hertziennes, jusqu'à la TNT plus récemment.

The tower stands 320 metres (1,050 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-story building. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to assume the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years, until the Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930. However, because of the addition, in 1957, of the antenna atop the Eiffel Tower, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building. Not including broadcast antennas, it is the second-tallest structure in France, after the Millau Viaduct.

Hello, and welcome to Paris. This week we are exploring the city of love, city of lights and city of art. This video will be showing you the top 50 things to do while you visit Paris.
So we're wrapping things up here. What would be your one tip for visiting Paris? Well, I have recently spent a whole ten days here in summer. I would say that if you really want to visit the art galleries, the museums and all of the main attractions you should probably avoid summer and like either come in the spring or the fall or even winter. Because the lines are insane and sometimes you have to wait like an hour and a half or two hours just to go inside a museum or go inside a church. And you just kill a lot of time. So that is my one tip. Try and avoid summer when the crowds are just everywhere and it is also a bit too hot in my opinion. But that is just me.
So how about you? What are your final thoughts on Paris? So my finals thoughts is obviously Paris is one of the top cities in the world in terms of attractions. But it is like any other big gritty city. And you have to come with realistic expectations. There is going to be garbage, there is going to be lines, there is going to be some areas that are a bit of an eyesore. But there is also a lot of beauty and there is also a lot to do here. So I highly you recommend coming but just don't have Paris on such a high pedestal that you're going to be disappointed.

We're confident our travel video guide covered some of the top attractions in Paris along with some suggestions that wouldn't necessarily be found in a tourism guide book including information on festivals, arts, entertainment and dining along with French cuisine. Hello, and welcome to Paris. This week we are exploring the city of love, city of lights and city of art. This video will be showing you the top 50 things to do while you visit Paris.
So we're wrapping things up here. What would be your one tip for visiting Paris? Well, I have recently spent a whole ten days here in summer. I would say that if you really want to visit the art galleries, the museums and all of the main attractions you should probably avoid summer and like either come in the spring or the fall or even winter. Because the lines are insane and sometimes you have to wait like an hour and a half or two hours just to go inside a museum or go inside a church. And you just kill a lot of time. So that is my one tip. Try and avoid summer when the crowds are just everywhere and it is also a bit too hot in my opinion. But that is just me.
So how about you? What are your final thoughts on Paris? So my finals thoughts is obviously Paris is one of the top cities in the world in terms of attractions. But it is like any other big gritty city. And you have to come with realistic expectations. There is going to be garbage, there is going to be lines, there is going to be some areas that are a bit of an eyesore. But there is also a lot of beauty and there is also a lot to do here. So I highly you recommend coming but just don't have Paris on such a high pedestal that you're going to be disappointed.
