Technology ("science of craft", from Greek τέχνη, techne, "art, skill, cunning of hand"; and -λογία, -logia) is the collection of techniques, skills, methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, etc. or it can be embedded in machines, computers, devices and factories, which can be operated by individuals without detailed knowledge of the workings of such things.
The human species' use of technology began with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistoric discovery of how to control fire and the later Neolithic Revolution increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans to travel in and control their environment. Developments in historic times, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact freely on a global scale. The steady progress of military technology has brought weapons of ever-increasing destructive power, from clubs to nuclear weapons.
Bees are flying insects closely related to wasps and ants, known for their role in pollination and, in the case of the best-known bee species, the European honey bee, for producing honey and beeswax. Bees are a monophyletic lineage within the superfamily Apoidea, presently considered as a clade Anthophila. There are nearly 20,000 known species of bees in seven to nine recognized families, though many are undescribed and the actual number is probably higher. They are found on every continent except Antarctica, in every habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants.
Some species including honey bees, bumblebees, and stingless bees live socially in colonies. Bees are adapted for feeding on nectar and pollen, the former primarily as an energy source and the latter primarily for protein and other nutrients. Most pollen is used as food for larvae. Bee pollination is important both ecologically and commercially; the decline in wild bees has increased the value of pollination by commercially managed hives of honey bees.

It has been raining here quite a bit in what should normally be the dry season. The wattle and daub hut is standing up well despite this (see video). However this has held back some other projects I had planned. So I decided to build a wood shed across the creek in Eucalypt woodland (where the best firewood is). Keeping firewood dry cuts down the amount of firewood needed and decreases the amount of smoke produced. Also keeping the firewood in an external structure saves room in the hut and leaves no place for snakes and rodents to hide. The shed is simply a 1 x 1 m thatched hut with a lower area used to store fire wood (1 cubic meter) and an upper level for storing fire starting equipment (fire sticks, tinder, stone blades for carving new holes in the sticks). I built it using wood from a...

An analysis of the potential exportation of Bee Vectoring Technology to Nepal.
Learn about the exciting new field of bee-vectored technology, where managed pollinators not only carry out pollination services but can deliver biocontrol agents directly to the crops in need. This can result in yield boosts of up to 25% or more (depending on the crop). Our current state of knowledge, and areas for future research are shared through a series of presentations by Dr. Peter Kevan and Dr. Les Shipp in this webinar that was held live on December 4, 2014. This webinar is one in a series of crop pollination webinars funded by the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), through a strategic network grant to the host, NSERC-Canadian Pollination Initiative. This webinar is also funded by the Arthur Dobbs Institute. The webinar series enjoy support ...

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology's annual Integration Bee A competition in which students vie for the title of Grand Integrator by battling with their knowledge of Calculus! ***Writing +C was not required*** Contest consisted of 3 rounds after a written test qualifier. Each integral had 3 contestants. If nobody solved the integral, no strikes would be given out. If 1 person answered correctly, then the other 2 would receive a strike. If 2 people answered correctly, then the third would receive a strike. If all 3 people answered correctly, then the person who answered last would get a strike. A contestant would be eliminated after 2 strikes. After each round, strikes were cleared. Round 1 ended after 8 were remaining. Round 2 ended when the last 3 remained. Round 3 ended once only ...

http://www.longplays.org Played by: Tsunao STG by Cave. The more known Cave game at that. I...think there is something a fleet...and technology...and a bee? Shmup. No plot. Game uses the same mechanics as the first one: chain stuff to get more points, with more emphasis on chaining. There's also the Maximum bonus for picking up bombs at full bomb stock. Also has the Shot mode (powerful shots, weaker laser) and Laser mode (powerful laser, weaker shots). This longplay, unlike the one present, no-skills through both loops while trying to scoring, which I do really bad, with A-L. I do try to pick up all the bees I can find. I KNOW there were a couple of bees I missed. There's also crap bullet herding and all around badness. Just a couple of more shots!

Who is it? Who'll get the sting?
Who'll get the stripes? Black and yellow
A dangerous creature, chattering wings
Flashing antennae, who is it?
It buzzes fine, the bee
Buzzes fine, stings deep
I play a frightened little game
I eject myself at scary speed
In front of cars and I go yeah
She is it, she's got the sting
She's dangerous, she stings
He gets stung, he is out
She gets the honey, she is it
She flies great, the bee
Flies great, stings deep
The cars freeze from fright
When they see my beautiful body and tongue
Then I speed away
But no one catches me
I'm the fastest bee in town
Oh, hot bee, Queen of heaven
With glossy trunk buzz to me
I want to be stung, I want to be out
Here is the honey, you're it
It stings deep, the bee
It stings deep, oh oh
