Late in the afternoon yesterday,
Deadline dropped a report that out of the possible actors on the shortlist to play
Young Han Solo in the
Lord and
Miller Star Wars movie,
Hail Caesar’s
Alden Ehrenreich is now considered the front runner. Deadline’s report says it was the screen test that led to Ehrenreich being considered the best among the three actors that also included
Taron Egerton and
Jack Reynor.
Things appear to be moving fast for the newly titled, newly rebooted Spider-Man movie from
Marvel and
Sony Studios, Spider-Man Homecoming. Before the reboot was named with the title Homecoming, a report hit the internet saying the villain who will act as the primary antagonist against
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be
Vulture. And now,
Variety adds to that report saying
Michael Keaton is now in talks for the villain role. Though plot points about his character are being kept under wraps, many fans can’t help but notice that Keaton is the perfect age to play Vulture,
AKA Adrian Toomes.
It looks like
Shane Black’s Predator movie is next for the director after his latest
The Nice Guys lands in theatres May
20th. This according to an exclusive interview with our very own
Steve Frosty Weintraub, who spoke to him about the status of his
Predator film that Black is describing as an “event” film. Though Black dodged direct questions about whether or not
Arnold Schwarzenegger will be involved with the movie, one question he did answer was in regards to the time frame the movie would take place in. Black confirmed that the movie will be set in “present day.”

Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The
Golden Circle continues to add an impressive cast to the line up with
Channing Tatum the latest actor to come on board. Tatum confirmed his casting with a tweet last night, saying “I’m about to get all up in that Golden Circle.” That’s three new
American’s on board now with Tatum joining
Halle Berry and
Julianne Moore; with even
Elton John cast in a yet, unknown role.
Although the
Warner Bros. adaptation of the classic Peter Pan story, Pan, failed with both box office and critics, Disney is hoping their magic can right the namesake, setting
David Lowry to direct another live action version of Peter Pan; this according to a report from Variety. Lowery is also known for directing the indie
Ain’t Them Bodies Saints and is also helming another Disney project, the live action version of
Pete’s Dragon, which is set for release this
August 12th.
Mark Rylance is quickly becoming
Steven Spielberg’s favorite actor to work with. He will next be seen voicing and doing the mo-cap work for Spielberg’s
The BFG, with other outlets reporting Rylance will also be joining Spielberg’s next drama adaptation -
The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara. Now, add one more part to the mix.
THR is reporting that Rylance has been added to the already promising cast of Spielberg’s science-fiction epic Ready Player One, in which he will play
James Donovan Halliday, the man who created the
OASIS system at the center of the film.
