From 1969, comedy duo Buddy (Brandon Maggart) and Jim (James Catusi) hang a picture. Their first appearance, I've included the intro with Bob (Bob McGrath) helping Gordon (Matt Robinson) hang his picture. Not sure which duo has more trouble, lol! Sad to say I could find very little info on what became of the actor that played Jim, James Catusi (1939-2009), other than his passing, but I'm delighted to find Brandon Maggart (Buddy) is still kickin' on Facebook (@Brandon Maggart), Twitter (@brmaggart), and via his own site linked below. Pop by and say, "Hey, Buddy!", I'm sure he'd love it ;-)
Buddy and Jim appeared on the Street for the first season (1969-1970) and Joe Raposo wrote their jaunty theme music. In Season 2, they were replaced by real-life married couple (1964–1999), Larry (Alan Arkin) and Phyllis (Barbara Dana), who were in turn replaced by Wally (Joe Ponazecki) and Ralph (Paul Price) in Season 3.

Soldiers of 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment honors fallen Soldier by participating in Wear Blue: Run to Remember on Saturday Aug. 23rd, 2014 in Dupont, Wash. Soldiers carried the battalion colors and ran along side Mrs. Maggart and her son to honor their own Dragonslayer, Sgt Brandon E. Maggart.

Brandon Maggart
Brandon Maggart (born December 12, 1933) is an American actor, painter and author.
Life and career
Maggart was born Roscoe Maggart, Jr., in Carthage, Tennessee. His acting career began in the early 1950s, at the University of Tennessee. He sang with The Knoxville Symphony and won a coveted Grace Moore Award for further study in New York City. Once in New York, he won the Theatre World Award for his performance in the musical revue, Put it in Writing.
He appeared as Buddy in the "Buddy and Jim" sketches with James Catusi in the first season of Sesame Street, in 1969. In 1970, he was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in Applause. He played Cleveland Sam in Dressed to Kill and Harry Stadling in the cult film Christmas Evil, both in 1980. In 1982 he played Garp's wrestling coach in The World According to Garp. He then played George Elliot in the short lived NBC series Jennifer Slept Here with Georgia Engel and Ann Jillian in 1983.

Sesame Street
Sesame Street is a long-running American children's television series created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett. The program is known for its educational content, and images communicated through the use of Jim Henson's Muppets, animation, short films, humor, and cultural references. The series premiered on November 10, 1969, to positive reviews, some controversy, and high viewership; it has aired on the U.S.'s national public television provider (PBS) since its debut, with its first run moving to premium channel HBO on January 16, 2016.
The show has undergone significant changes throughout its history. The format of Sesame Street consists of a combination of commercial television production elements and techniques which have evolved to reflect the changes in American culture and the audience's viewing habits. With the creation of Sesame Street, producers and writers of a children's television show used, for the first time, educational goals and a curriculum to shape its content. It was also the first time a show's educational effects were studied.

Fiona Apple
Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart (born September 13, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist and record producer. Classically trained on piano as a child, Apple began composing her own songs when she was eight years old. Her debut album, Tidal, written when Apple was seventeen, was released in 1996 and received a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single "Criminal". She followed with When the Pawn... (1999), produced by Jon Brion, which was also critically and commercially successful and went certified platinum.
For her third album, Extraordinary Machine (2005), Apple again collaborated with Brion, and began recording the album in 2002. However, Apple was reportedly unhappy with the production and opted not to release the record, leading fans to erroneously protest Epic Records, believing that the label was withholding its release. The album was eventually re-produced without Brion and released in October 2005 to critical acclaim. She released her fourth studio album, The Idler Wheel..., in 2012, which was followed by an extensive tour of the USA. The album received universal praise.

Originally aired on November 24, 1969, it's another full episode of the best darn kids show on TV! Pretty quiet day on The Street with much fewer Muppet Moments than usual. In fact, it's the first ep in which Ernie appears without Bert :-O. CLICK ON SHOW MORE FOR INFO AND LINKS!
Muppet Debuts: "Father (Mother and Children) Song", written by Jeff Moss, in three parts, performed by the Anything Muppets: a father (Jim Henson), mother (Loretta Long), and their kids (Caroll Spinney and Frank Oz, Loretta Long provides the vocals). And the "Milk and Cookies" sketch with Ernie (Jim Henson) and Cookie Monster (Frank Oz).
Cartoon Debuts: "The O Song", animated by John and Faith Hubley, "R is for Rooster, Robber, and Rake", animated by Fred Calvert, and "R for Radio", voiced by Casey Kasem.
Also, Mr. Hooper (Will Lee) shows the kids a Yorkshire piglet and a chinchilla, Susan plays "One of These Things" using a fish and some clothing, and we visit Buddy (Brandon Maggart) and Jim (James Catusi) as Buddy gets a new jacket.
Otherwise, Gordon (Matt Robinson) and the kids read "One, Two, Where's My Shoe?" by Tomi Ungerer. Great links below if you've never heard of this legendary author and artist. His style is very reminiscent of two of his friends, Maurice Sendak and Shel Silverstein. Banned for years in the US due to his erotica ("not pornography, please."), he has only recently been rediscovered and celebrated in North America. Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart (born September 13, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Her debut album, Tidal, was released in 1996 and received a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single "Criminal". Subsequent albums include: When the Pawn... (1999), Extraordinary Machine (2005), and The Idler Wheel... (2012).
Apple's vocal range is contralto.Her musical style contains elements of jazz and alternative rock.[citation needed]
Born in New York City, Apple is the daughter of singer Diane McAfee and actor Brandon Maggart. Her maternal grandparents were dancer Millicent Green and big band vocalist Johnny McAfee. Her sister sings cabaret under the stage name Maude Maggart, and actor Garett Maggart is her half brother.
Apple was introduced to the music industry in 1994, when she gave a demo tape containing the songs "Never Is a Promise", "Not One of Those Times", and "He Takes a Taxi" to her friend who was the babysitter of music publicist Kathryn Schenker. Schenker then passed the tape along to Sony Music executive Andy Slater. Apple's contralto voice, piano skills and lyrics captured his attention, and Slater signed her to a record deal.
In 1996, Apple's debut album, Tidal, was released by Work Records and Columbia Records. The album sold 2.7 million copies and was certified three times platinum in the U.S. "Criminal", the third single, became a hit and the song reached the top forty on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song's controversial Mark Romanek--directed music video—in which a scantily clad Apple appeared in a 1970s-era tract house—played on MTV. Apple later said: "I decided if I was going to be exploited, then I would do the exploiting myself." Other singles from Tidal included "Shadowboxer", "Sleep to Dream", and "Never Is a Promise". In 1997, while accepting MTV Video Music Award for "Best New Artist" for her song Sleep to Dream, Apple said: "This world is bullshit, and you shouldn't model your life on what we think is cool, and what we're wearing and what we're saying." The New Yorker and NYRock characterized her MTV award show speech as ungrateful and "ridiculous".[1][4] Apple was unapologetic. "I just had something on my mind and I just said it. And that's really the foreshadowing of my entire career and my entire life. When I have something to say, I'll say it," she said, responding to these criticisms in an article in Rolling Stone in January 1998.
During this period, Apple also made recordings of The Beatles' "Across the Universe" and Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone to Love" for the soundtrack of the film Pleasantville. She later canceled the last twenty-one dates on a tour in support of her album due to "personal family problems".

Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart (born September 13, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Her debut album, Tidal, was released in 1996 and received a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single "Criminal". Subsequent albums include: When the Pawn... (1999), Extraordinary Machine (2005), and The Idler Wheel... (2012).
Apple's vocal range is contralto.Her musical style contains elements of jazz and alternative rock.[citation needed]
Born in New York City, Apple is the daughter of singer Diane McAfee and actor Brandon Maggart. Her maternal grandparents were dancer Millicent Green and big band vocalist Johnny McAfee. Her sister sings cabaret under the stage name Maude Maggart, and actor Garett Maggart is her half brother.
Apple was introduced to the music industry in 1994, when she gave a demo tape containing the songs "Never Is a Promise", "Not One of Those Times", and "He Takes a Taxi" to her friend who was the babysitter of music publicist Kathryn Schenker. Schenker then passed the tape along to Sony Music executive Andy Slater. Apple's contralto voice, piano skills and lyrics captured his attention, and Slater signed her to a record deal.
In 1996, Apple's debut album, Tidal, was released by Work Records and Columbia Records. The album sold 2.7 million copies and was certified three times platinum in the U.S. "Criminal", the third single, became a hit and the song reached the top forty on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song's controversial Mark Romanek--directed music video—in which a scantily clad Apple appeared in a 1970s-era tract house—played on MTV. Apple later said: "I decided if I was going to be exploited, then I would do the exploiting myself." Other singles from Tidal included "Shadowboxer", "Sleep to Dream", and "Never Is a Promise". In 1997, while accepting MTV Video Music Award for "Best New Artist" for her song Sleep to Dream, Apple said: "This world is bullshit, and you shouldn't model your life on what we think is cool, and what we're wearing and what we're saying." The New Yorker and NYRock characterized her MTV award show speech as ungrateful and "ridiculous".[1][4] Apple was unapologetic. "I just had something on my mind and I just said it. And that's really the foreshadowing of my entire career and my entire life. When I have something to say, I'll say it," she said, responding to these criticisms in an article in Rolling Stone in January 1998.
During this period, Apple also made recordings of The Beatles' "Across the Universe" and Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone to Love" for the soundtrack of the film Pleasantville. She later canceled the last twenty-one dates on a tour in support of her album due to "personal family problems".
