ZARA, the Spanish clothing store, has brought its affordable style to Melbourne. Fashion is spread over three levels, with Woman, Basic and TRF collections on the ground floor. The children’s collection occupies the first floor, with men's on the top floor. Owned by Spanish fashion distributor Inditex, ZARA has a reputation for good-quality fashion at a reasonable price. It dispatches new styles globally to all stores twice a week and, if a design does not sell within a week, it is withdrawn and replaced by a new one. The store also sends its interpretation of high-end designers' latest looks into stores soon after their appearance on the catwalk, at a fraction of the cost of the real thing. Zara opened its second Melbourne store at Chadstone Shoping Centre in August 2012, and plan to open more. 2015 Update Checking the ZARA web site in 2015, we could only find one store in Victoria funnily enough the one in Highpoint. If you use the Store Locator link (down the page), oddly it does not have Australia as an option. Firstly, we want to thank you for contacting ZARA HOME Online. In answer to your query, please take note our items can only be purchased at the moment at our Melbourne store, since it is the sole one in Australia and the online store is not operative in Australia. We managed to speak with a lovely sales girl at Chadstone who confirmed the 4 stores in Melbourne are open although often busy and do not answer their phone. The Australian ZARA head office is in Sydney.
