La evidencia genética es incuestionable, los españoles representan en Europa el mayor porcentaje de haplogrupo R1b con mas de un 70% y son el origen de pueblos como el Ingles , el Irlandes y el Escoces. Cómo es la composición genética de los españoles?
España está genéticamente muy relacionada con el resto de los pueblos de la Europa más occidental (Irlanda, Gales, Bretaña francesa y Portugal) mucho más que con ningún otro pueblo. Los análisis genéticos apuntan a una fuerte ascendencia paleolítica entre la población de la Península Ibérica. El haplogrupo R1b del cromosoma Y alcanza frecuencias del 60% en la mayor parte de la Península Ibérica, llegando a alcanzar hasta el 90% en el País Vasco y Navarra. Esto muestra un vínculo ancestral entre la Península Ibérica y el resto de Europa Occidental, y en particular con la Europa Atlántica, con la que comparte altas frecuencias de estos haplogrupos. Irlanda, Gales, Francia y la región norte de El español es un pueblo muy homogéneo desde el punto de vista genético (mucho más que el italiano, por ejemplo) y más relacionado genéticamente con otros pueblos atlánticos como portugueses, franceses, irlandeses y escoceses que con pueblos mediterráneos. Incluso hay quien sugiere que las poblaciones primigenias del norte de la Península Ibérica y el sur de Francia colonizaron el resto de Europa Occidental al final de las últimas glaciaciones. Un estudio elaborado por la Universidad de Oxford, sugiere que parte de la población británica desciende directamente de un grupo de pescadores ibéricos que viajó por mar hasta las Islas Británicas hace aproximadamente 6.000 años.
El haplogrupo predominante en el 70% de los españoles es el R1b, conservamos así el linaje de los primeros pobladores del continente además de una importante herencia celtíbera. Ni los fenicios/cartagineses, ni los griegos, ni los godos, ni los romanos, ni los árabes modificaron sustancialmente la composición genética de esa población primigenia, la aportación de estos pueblos fue mucho más fuerte a nivel cultural que a nivel genético. Eso se debe a muchas razones diversas, entre otras, que estas poblaciones invasoras nunca fueron relevantes numéricamente respecto del resto de la población, algunas de ellas (griegos y fenicios) se dedicaban a construir colonias costeras para el comercio, no a invadir a los nativos. Por otra parte el Estrecho de Gibraltar nunca fue cruzado por una migración importante desde Norafrica a Europa o desde Europa a Norafrica.

Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Bellerín started his club football career with FC Barcelona. He moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2011. He signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2013. The definition of Hispanic has been made up in the US, with an absolute lack of accuracy or knowledge to the actual and original meaning of the word.
In the US it's basically someone who's more or less a mix of (or pure) Native American (from Aztecs in Mexico to the Incas in Peru, etc) and black and maybe even white and happen to have Spanish as their native language.
That is completely wrong and absurd from the Spanish point of view.
Spain has never classified people by race but by nationality and this is how it should be.
Keep in mind that we Spaniards do NOT think in English, nor do we give OUR words the absurd meaning that's been made up in the US to create a new box for ethnicity in their immigrations forms.
Hispania was the Province of the Roman Empire, the Roman name for the Iberian Peninsula. The modern name Spain (España) derives from Hispania. Hispanics were
the citizens from Hispaia.
Hispania, was also used in the period of Visigothic rule.

The Romans were here and called us Hispanic, the Romans didn't call Hispanic the people from Guatemala. We use the word hispanic (hispánico/hispano) all the time to refer to ourselves! Hispanic America (Hispano-America) can't be cut down to Hispano without losing its meaning.
The fact that Hispanic is used in the wrong way in the US because someone didn't get his facts right, doesn't mean we in Europe have to give up a word to define us that is part of our heritage and has been for more than 2,000 years.

Geoff Zanelli is one of the most important co-composer of the Pirates movies, if not the most, since he's the only that has contributed on all of them. He created Tia Dalma/Calypso's theme and the Spanish theme. He also wrote some of the most iconic cues, like Barbossa Is Hungry, Swords Crossed, Diner Is Served, Tia Dalma, Calypso, On Stranger Tides, Palm Tree Escape and End Credtis. Finally, he's the one that arranged He's A Pirate, taking themes from Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer.

The term Spanish people (or Spaniards) has two distinct meanings: Traditionally, it applies to people native to any part of Spain. More recently, it has also come to have a legal meaning, referring to people who hold Spanish citizenship.
Within Spain there are a number of nationalisms and regionalisms, reflecting the country's complex history. In more recent times the Iberians are believed to have arrived or developed in the region between the 4th millennium BC and the 3rd millennium BC, initially settling along the Mediterranean coast. Celts settled in Spain during the Iron Age. Some of those tribes in North-central Spain, which had cultural contact with the Iberians, are called Celtiberians. In addition, a group known as the Tartessians and later Turdetanians inhabited southwestern Spain and who are believed to have developed a separate civilization of Phoenician influence. The seafaring Phoenicians, Greeks, and Carthaginians successively founded trading colonies along the Mediterranean coast over a period of several centuries. The Second Punic War between the Carthaginians and Romans was fought mainly in what is now Spain and Portugal.

Geoff Zanelli is one of the most important co-composer of the Pirates movies, if not the most, since he's the only that has contributed on all of them. He created Tia Dalma/Calypso's theme and the Spanish theme. He also wrote some of the most iconic cues, like Barbossa Is Hungry, Swords Crossed, Diner Is Served, Tia Dalma, Calypso, On Stranger Tides, Palm Tree Escape and End Credtis. El haplogrupo predominante en el 70% de los españoles es el R1b, conservamos así el linaje de los primeros pobladores del continente además de una importante herencia celtíbera. Ni los fenicios/cartagineses, ni los griegos, ni los godos, ni los romanos, ni los árabes modificaron sustancialmente la composición genética de esa población primigenia, la aportación de estos pueblos fue mucho más fuerte a nivel cultural que a nivel genético. Eso se debe a muchas razones diversas, entre otras, que estas poblaciones invasoras nunca fueron relevantes numéricamente respecto del resto de la población, algunas de ellas (griegos y fenicios) se dedicaban a construir colonias costeras para el comercio, no a invadir a los nativos. Por otra parte el Estrecho de Gibraltar nunca fue cruzado por una migración importante desde Norafrica a Europa o desde Europa a Norafrica.

The definition of Hispanic has been made up in the US, with an absolute lack of accuracy or knowledge to the actual and original meaning of the word.
In the US it's basically someone who's more or less a mix of (or pure) Native American (from Aztecs in Mexico to the Incas in Peru, etc) and black and maybe even white and happen to have Spanish as their native language.
That is completely wrong and absurd from the Spanish point of view.
Spain has never classified people by race but by nationality and this is how it should be.
Keep in mind that we Spaniards do NOT think in English, nor do we give OUR words the absurd meaning that's been made up in the US to create a new box for ethnicity in their immigrations forms.
Hispania was the Province of the Roman Empire, the Roman name for the Iberian Peninsula. The modern name Spain (España) derives from Hispania. Hispanics were
the citizens from Hispaia.
Hispania, was also used in the period of Visigothic rule.
Latinius Pacatus Drepanius
"This Hispania produces tough soldiers, very skilled captains, prolific speakers, luminous bards. It is a mother of judges and princes; it has given Trajan, Hadrian, and Theodosius to the Empire."

Has a very Spanish feel to it, characterised by a brass instrument (could be a Fugelhorn?) (which sounds more Mexican than anything centred around Spain). Oh well just enjoy!

Like what happened with the famous Hitler scene from "Downfall", people are making videos with subtitles using this "interview" aired on Jesus Quintero's show, "Ratones Coloraos". The interviewee is Juan Joya, commonly known as "Risitas" or "El Risitas", literally meaning "little laughs" or "giggles", due to the way he laughs during his jokes and stories. He became very known in Spain. (The part most people end up using starts at 4:20, inb4 weed jokes) Some non-Spanish speakers wanted to know what they originally said, so I made this for them. I tried to make it as faithful as possible, but Risitas speaks with Andalusian accent and sometimes it can be a bit "closed". The interviewee is Juan Joya, commonly known as "Risitas" or "El Risitas", literally meaning "little laughs" or "giggles", due to the way he laughs during his jokes and stories. He became very known in Spain.
(The part most people end up using starts at 4:20, inb4 weed jokes)
Some non-Spanish speakers wanted to know what they originally said, so I made this for them. I tried to make it as faithful as possible, but Risitas speaks with Andalusian accent and sometimes it can be a bit "closed". However, I think I was able to take all the meaning and translate it properly.
