CENTRAL JERSEY BEER FEST: Beer lovers in Mercer Country are in for a suds-filled Saturday as the Central Jersey Beer Festival returns to the Mercer County Fairgrounds in West Windsor on Saturday. The festival will feature more than 50 craft breweries including: Dark City, Carton, Demented, Rinn Duin, Southern Tier, Goose Island, Tuckahoe, and Troegs. Food will be served at the festival thanks to the New Jersey staple, the food truck. Shaun Rumen, Patti Llewellyn, and Moot Davis. $10-$100. PINELANDS MUSIC FESTIVAL: The second annual Pinelands Music Festival rocks the Pine Barrens on Sunday. The festival is headlined by Hawthorne Heights and features bands like: Hidden in Plain View, Sleepwave (featuring Spencer of Underoath), Such Gold, CRUISR, Young English, Owel, and the reunion of Don't Look Down. Outside of the music there will be a wide array of delicacies from local food trucks, a vast beer garden, and local vendors providing you with a shopping a experience -- if you can peel yourselves away from the bands. $30-$38. 'THE PRODUCERS' AT PAPER MILL: Mel Brooks' iconic musical comedy, "The Producers" is running now through Oct. 23 at the Paper Mill Playhouse. The musical revolves around down-on-his luck Broadway producer and hustler Max Bialystok and accountant Leo Bloom who scheme to produce a surefire Broadway disaster. "The Producers" premiered in 1967 as a major motion picture starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder, then went to Broadway in the early 2000s with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick as the leads. The Paper Mill production stars Michael Kostroff, of "The Wire," as Max Bialystock, and veteran stage actor David Josefsberg as Leo Bloom. $38-$120. COUNTRY JAMBOREE IN KEYPORT: Keyport gets "country strong" on Saturday and Sunday with the 19th annual Keyport Screamin' Country Jamboree. If you're just looking to hang at the jamboree at Waterfront Park (and not traipse through the downtown of Keyport) there's plenty to eat and drink here. On Sunday the annual chili tasting and cook-off will take place. If you need to cool your tongue off after diving mouth first into some delectable chili dishes, you're in luck because there will be a beer garden on site. The event will be soundtracked by a number of notable Jersey country acts such as: Ring of Fire (a Johnny Cash Tribute), Southern Steel, Citizen's Band Radio, and Barry Ryan's Rockabilly X. The jamboree will have carnival rides for kids, vendors for shoppers, and a "screamin'" motorcycle rally. Free. Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. American Legion Drive, Keyport.
BEACHTOBERFEST: The Anchor's Bend at Convention Hall will be celebrating Oktoberfest on the Beach with their annual "Beachtoberfest." The event takes place Saturday and Sunday right on the North Beach bar section of the restaurant and bar. There will be a special "Beachtoberfest" menu, a bonfire on Saturday night, live entertainment from local artists, and a plethora of local beers being served up. On tap you'll find Jersey brews like Beach Haus, Cape May, Asbury Park, Belford, Dark City, Flying Fish, and Forgotten Boardwalk. Free (admission). JUST JERSEY FESTIVAL: The third and final installment of the 2016 Just Jersey Food Truck and Music Festival series concludes on Saturday. The event will benefit 11th Hour Rescue, a Morris County-based no-kill animal rescue. The Just Jersey Festival takes place at the Rockaway Boro Fireman's Field. It features 20 gourmet food trucks, and a beer and wine garden. The garden will feature brews from Leinenkugel, Long Trail, Jersey Girl, and Evil Genius. Music will be supplied by Spinn (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), The Atlanta Cafe Band (1 to 4 p.m.), and Stereo Junkies Band (4 to 7 p.m.) $5-$10. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 144 Beach Street, Rockaway.
ATLANTIC CITY COMEDY FESTIVAL: The seventh annual Atlantic City Comedy Festival will be splitting sides on Saturday and Sunday at Boardwalk Hall. The lineup for the weekend includes such TV, film and stand-up veterans as Mike Epps, Sheryl Underwood, Arnez J, Gary Owen, Tony Rock, Joe Clair, radio personality Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce, "Saturday Night Live" alum Jay Pharoah, and Buck Wild. $49-$125. Saturday and Sunday, 8 p.m. 2304 Boardwalk, Atlantic City.
