Don't Trust Me

"Don't Trust Me" (commonly referred to as "Don't Trust a Ho" or "The Helen Keller Song") is the second single by the band 3OH!3 and the third track from their second album Want.

The single was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in March 2009, Platinum in April 2009, 2x platinum in July 2009, and 3x platinum on July 13, 2011.

Release

"Don't Trust Me" was released on June 1, 2008 as the lead single for the band's label debut. "Don't Trust Me" is also featured in the game, Tap Tap Revenge for the iPhone OS. It was also used on The Hills, The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. The official remix features Kid Cudi.

Music video

The official video begins with words being typed on the screen stating "A global virus of catastrophic proportions has attacked the entire male population. Only two male models from Colorado survive... this is their story". The screen shifts to a shot of the band in briefs at a photo shoot. The set resembles that of a hotel. Another photo shoot takes place at a set resembling a high school wrestling match, where they are dressed in neon-colored singlets. The last photo shoot is in the prehistoric era, and the band is dressed as cavemen. The video ends with a shot of a mushroom cloud, and the words "Transmission terminated" are typed onto the screen. The video received a nomination at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist.

Trust Me (2007 film)

Trust Me is a 2006 film written and directed by Andrew Kazamia.

Trust Me is produced by Quadriga Productions and stars Enn Reitel, Tony Curran, Craig Ferguson, and Shelley Long. It won three awards at its first festival screening at the Breckenridge Festival of Film, June 2007, for Best Supporting Actor for Enn Reitel, Best Comedy and an Audiences Award. At the next festival, the Honolulu International Film Festival, July 2007, it won Best Director, then at the Kansas Universal Film Festival, September 2007, it won Best Director and Best Editor. It screened at the Braunschweig Film Festival in Germany where its director Andrew Kazamia won the Heinrich award for best first time European film maker 2007.

Trust Me (2010 film)

Trust Me (Swedish: Puss, literally "Kiss") is a 2010 Swedish comedy-drama film written and directed by Johan Kling, starring an ensemble cast including Alexander Skarsgård, Gustaf Skarsgård and Susanne Thorson. The screenplay focuses on a group of young people who are running a small theater in Stockholm.

Trust Me was produced by St Paul Film in co-production with Nordisk Film, Sveriges Television, Canal+ and the Norwegian company Spillefilmkompaniet 4½. It received seven million SEK from the Swedish Film Institute, plus support from Nordisk Film- & TV Fond and local funds in Stockholm and Gotland. The total budget was 21.5 million SEK. Filming started in September 2008, but after only ten days Johan Kling experienced a burnout and the production was postponed. "I felt like Lord Jim who left his own ship", the director later commented. Filming resumed the following August and principal shooting ended in October 2009.

"Trust Me" is the sixth episode of the first season of the period drama television series The Americans. It originally aired on FX in the United States on March 6, 2013.

Plot

Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) are concerned about the FBI's mole. Philip (as Clark) plans to meet with Martha Hanson (Alison Wright), Agent Gaad's secretary, but while making plans at a phone booth, is abducted and thrown into a van. Back at the Jennings' home, Elizabeth, hearing a noise upstairs, investigates. She is attacked by an intruder, fights back, but is taken away by a second man.

In an abandoned warehouse, Philip is tied to chair and being interrogated by Cal (Robert Bogue) who removes Philip's wig and glasses and calls him a "commie". He shows Philip his various passports under different aliases and plays conversations he had with Martha. Cal threatens to send Philip's children to Russia. Elizabeth is thrown into a small room with pictures of her family all over the wall.

Don't!

"Don't!" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian country music singer Shania Twain. It was released in January 2005 as the second single from her Greatest Hits album. The song was written by Twain and then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The song was also included under the end credits of the 2005 film An Unfinished Life, and in the Brazilian soap opera América.

Music video

The music video for "Don't!" was shot in Oaxaca, Mexico at Quinta Real Hotel and Yucca plantation. It was filmed on October 24, 2004 and released January 2, 2005, it was directed by Wayne Isham. The video is available on some of the commercial singles for "Don't!". In 2006, CMT Canada named "Don't!" the eighth sexiest country music video.

In the video Twain rides a horse through rows of Yucca wearing a red dress, and walks around in the hotel wearing a white dress and corset. Near the end of the video, a tear runs down her face.

Chart performance

"Don't!" debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart the week of January 29, 2005 at number 44, Twain's fourth highest debut of all time, and highest of the week. The single spent 15 weeks on the chart and climbed to a peak position of number 24 on April 2, 2005, where it remained for one week. "Don't!" became Twain's first single to miss the top 20 since 2000's "Rock This Country!".

Don't (Elvis Presley song)

"Don't" is a song performed by Elvis Presley, which was released in 1958. Written and produced by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, it was Presley's eleventh number-one hit in the United States. "Don't" also peaked at number four on the R&B charts.Billboard ranked it as the No. 3 song for 1958.

The song was included in the musical revue Smokey Joe's Cafe, as a medley with "Love Me".

"Don't" is the debut single by American singer Bryson Tiller. It was released on May 20, 2015, as the first single for his debut studio album Trapsoul. The song was produced by Dopeboi. This song has so far peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it became Tiller's first top 40 hit and his highest charting single to date.

Background and release

Tiller originally released this song on October 2014 on his SoundCloud page and started receiving attention from internet based fans and music industry insiders, accumulating 4 million streams in the first six months, and eventually reaching over 35 million streams. Tiller, after increased popularity of the single, admitted that he "made this shit in [his] living room". Early co-signs from super producer Timbaland and Canadian rapper/singer Drake led to multiple major label deals for Bryson, with him eventually choosing to sign a creative partnership with RCA Records on August 25, 2015.
