Patrick Losensky (born 3 April 1982) better known as Fler, is a German rapper. He also uses the pseudonym Frank White after the character in King of New York.
He became known in the German hip hop scene through his collaboration on Carlo, Cokxxx, Nutten and Bushido's album Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline.
Losenski grew up in West Berlin without knowing his father. He has stated that he had problems in school, not because of his grades, but because of his behavior. At the age of 15, he went to a psychiatric hospital because of a panic attack. He was later institutionalized. During his stay, he began an apprenticeship as a painter and decorator, where he met Bushido and both became friends, but later he broke off this pursuit. Fler made a name for himself in the Berlin graffiti scene. Fler, who describes himself as hyperactive, saw a career as a rapper as an escape from crime and financial difficulties.
In October 2002, he became known through his collaboration with Bushido on Carlo, Cokxxx, Nutten (under the pseudonyms "Sonny Black" and "Frank White"). The contest of most of the song from the album revolves around the life in the ghetto, where both rappers thermes drug dealing, prostitution and gun violence. Because of the gloomy production and samples Carlo, Cokxxx, Nutten is widely regarded as one of the influential German hip hop albums.
