Midnight is a 1931 British comedy crime film directed by George King and starring Eve Gray, George Bellamy and Ellen Pollock. It was a quota quickie made at Nettlefold Studios for distribution by the British subsidiary of the American Fox Film Company.

"Midnight" is the first single taken from the album Street Child by Mexican alternative rock singer Elan. It was released in Mexico on June 13, 2003. Elan fans brought 3 national servers down in Mexico with email requests for this song. This single reached #1 in airplay in most Mexican territories and stayed on top for ten weeks without changing its position. The single also reached #28 in Australia. There are 2 edits of the music video, one with black and white handycam footage interpoled of her, and the other one without those scenes added.

"Lady" is a song co-written, co-produced and performed by American neo soul singer D'Angelo, issued as the third single from his debut studio album Brown Sugar. A remixed version of the song (titled the Clean Street Version) was also released, featuring vocals from American hip hop musician AZ. Separate music videos were created for both versions of the song.

"Lady" is D'Angelo's biggest hit single to date in the United States, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1996. It was certified gold by the RIAA on June 4, 1996. The song was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1997, but lost to "Your Secret Love" by Luther Vandross.

The Game's 2013 single "All That (Lady)" uses a clear vocal sample of "Lady".

The official music video for the original version of the song was directed by Hype Williams. The video for the remix version was directed by Brett Ratner. In addition to AZ, the remix video features appearances from singers Faith Evans and Joi; as well as Erykah Badu in her first music video appearance.

The song was written and produced by Lionel Richie, recorded in 1980, and ranks among Kenny Rogers's biggest hits. Rogers once told an interviewer, "The idea was that Lionel would come from R&B and I'd come from country, and we'd meet somewhere in pop." Lionel wrote the second sentence of the song while he was at the bathroom.

The success of "Lady" also boosted Richie's career. The production work on the song was his first outside the Commodores and foreshadowed his success as a solo act during the 1980s. Rogers was also a featured vocalist on "We Are the World", co-written by Richie. Richie performed the song himself on his 1998 album, Time, and he and Rogers performed the song as a duet on Richie's 2012 release "Tuskegee".

Shameka Shanta Brown (born July 31, 1989), better known by her stage name Lady (and her online accounts ThisIsLady), is an American rapper signed to Plies' record label, Big Gates Record. Lady was born in Talbotton, Georgia and began rapping in high school with two of her friends. She was signed to her record label on the first of April, 2010. She has currently released three albums. Lady's song "Yankin" was featured in the HBO television series Girls and her song "Twerk" was featured in Showtime's original television series Ray Donovan. Lady's songs have also been featured on other shows and websites, such as the BBC show Skins, Slate, Perez Hilton, Howard Stern Show, MTV, Examiner.com, and The Huffington Post.

Early Life

Brown graduated from Central High School in Talbotton, Georgia. During her senior year at Central, Brown was the Senior class officer president.

Career Beginnings

On April 1st 2010, Brown signed a record deal with the indie recording label, Big Gates Records. With more than 100,000 digital sales, the mixtapes "Bitch From Around the Way", "Bitch From Around the Way II", and "Bout Dat Life" have increased Lady's popularity.

The concept was founded in 2006 by U2 frontman and activist, Bono, together with Bobby Shriver of the ONE/DATA. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a recipient of (RED) money.

In return for the opportunity to increase revenue through the Product Red license, a 50 percent of the profit gained by each partner is donated to the Global Fund.
