Purple is defined as a deep, rich shade between crimson and violet, or, more broadly, as a range of hues of color between blue and red, or as a dark color that is a blend of red and blue. According to surveys In Europe and the U.S., purple is the color most often associated with royalty, magic, mystery and piety. When combined with pink, it is associated with eroticism, femininity and seduction.
Purple was the color worn by Roman magistrates; it became the imperial color worn by the rulers of the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, and later by Roman Catholic bishops. Similarly in Japan, the color is traditionally associated with the Emperor and aristocracy.
Purple and violet are similar, though purple is closer to red. In optics, there is an important difference; purple is a composite color made by combining red and blue, while violet is a spectral color, with its own wavelength on the visible spectrum of light.
The word 'purple' comes from the Old English word purpul which derives from the Latin purpura, in turn from the Greek πορφύρα (porphura), name of the Tyrian purple dye manufactured in classical antiquity from a mucus secreted by the spiny dye-murex snail.
Purple is a color.

Sounding or urethral sounding is the medical use of probes called sounds to increase the inner diameter of the urethra and to locate obstructions in it. Sounds are also used to stretch the urethra in order to receive genital piercing.
Urethral sounding and urethral play are also used to refer to this practice in a sexual context.
Urethral play can involve the introduction of either soft or rigid items into the meatus of the penis (as well as farther in). Objects such as sounds are usually only inserted about halfway into the glans and can usually be easily retrieved. Other toys and items, such as catheters, may be introduced deeper; in some cases even into the bladder. Some items may even be allowed to curl several times or expand within the bladder. This action in the male may be directly or indirectly associated with stimulation of the prostate gland and some types of bladder control.
If not conducted carefully, sounding carries a risk of irritation, tearing of the urethra, or of urinary tract infection. Infections may become serious if they progress to the bladder or kidneys, and should be referred to a doctor.
In medicine, sounds are instruments for probing and dilating passages within the body, the best-known examples of which are urethral sounds and uterine sounds. Some people enjoy using them for urethral play.
Urethral sounds are designed to be inserted into the male or female urethra, for the purpose of stretching or unblocking a stricture. There are a number of different types of urethral sounds:
These sounds or dilators are intended for probing a woman's uterus through the cervix, to measure the length and direction of the cervical canal and uterus, to determine the level of dilation, or to induce further dilation.
Sound is the debut album by free jazz saxophononist Roscoe Mitchell, recorded in 1966 and released on the Delmark label. It features performances by Mitchell, Lester Bowie, Malachi Favors, Maurice McIntyre, Lester Lashley and Alvin Fielder. The CD reissue includes two takes of "Sound", which were edited together to form the original LP version, and an alternative take of "Ornette".
The Penguin Guide to Jazz selected the album as part of its suggested Core Collection.
The Allmusic review by Steve Huey awarded the album 5 stars, stating, "Structurally, Sound heralded a whole new approach to free improvisation; where most previous free jazz prized an unrelenting fever pitch of emotion, Sound was full of wide-open spaces between instruments, an agreeably rambling pace in between the high-energy climaxes, and a more abstract quality to its solos. Steady rhythmic pulses were mostly discarded in favor of collective, spontaneous dialogues and novel textures (especially with the less orthodox instruments, which had tremendous potential for flat-out weird noises). Simply put, it's an exploration of pure sound."
Windows DreamScene is a utility that allows videos and .gif and other optimized animations to be used as desktop wallpapers. It is one of the Windows Ultimate Extras. Prior to its official announcement, DreamScene was rumored to be in creation under the names Motion Desktop and Borealis. After several months of testing, the final version was released on September 25, 2007.
Rendered content included with DreamScene (such as an animated realization of the Windows Aurora background) was produced by Stardock, while photographic content was provided by the Discovery Channel. Third-party video content in MPEG or WMV format may also be used. In addition, AVI files can be played by altering the file extension.
One of the purported advantages of DreamScene over previous methods of desktop animation is that it makes use of the GPU for display instead of the CPU, leaving the latter free to perform user tasks. To what extent this is achieved is not specified. When a full-screen program is run, such as a game or any window that is maximized, the video will automatically stop since the video will not be seen; this means it uses less GPU and CPU. The video can also be stopped manually. Content encoders need to strive for a balance between compression and file size; decompression requires the CPU, but larger files take up more memory and may cause the disk to be accessed more frequently.

[Chorus]
Dreams! things aren't all that they seem
Dreams! life's not all about cream
Dreams! please say it all was a dream
'cause the fight for real life's
like a horrible scene
[Verse]
(Virt wake up!)
the enemy's here
they trying ta' take us
let 'em see how the weaponry
makes their frame break up
it seems threads of life
make up our stitch in time
after the bomb dropped
dawn got a different shine
I find that it burns
like a fire on the hearth
I learned this day would come
they were liars from the start
my pride is in my heart
so you'll never know
how far Miguel will go
until they digging up your skeletal
remains I see change
on the horizon
or is it just the next bomber as it flies in
wise men once let me know
if it's not worth it then let it go
or pop first and dead your foe
now it seems like the options are dropping
there's no more talking
smart bombs are locked in
and more often than not
innocent people gotta get dropped
for their leaders horrible plot
while the one calling the shots
fly free as a bird
words they speak are absurd
though they're frequently heard
'cause they control the radio
it's crazy though
the dj's won't play me though
unless I line their bank account
with crazy dough
and even corporate labels
deep into debt, through spending in deficit
bootlegging and internet
meet the new me see a brain that's been cloned
silicone flesh meshed with titanium bones
I'm aiming my poems, at dictators
reigning on thrones
who raised their seeds cold
in a cradle of stone
then cast them in the street
never gave them a home
the ones who shun the path
that our saviors have shown
we stole all of the crops
that the natives have grown
we must stick together
no one made it alone
'cause radiation give you cancer
in your face from your phone
or your throat from the smoke
when you blazing a bone
when you don't agree with leaders
and behavior they've shown
speak out there's no effect
if your state is unknownI got sick of talking
and caught aids in my poem
now I spit from a coffin
and a grave is my dome
I grown by own body
from dirt and grime
it blows my damn mind
like my brain was a landmine
and I can't find
a path out this nightmare
does it end right here
or extend for light years?!
[Chorus repeat]
