Ole Bornedal er en af Danmarks største filminstruktører – manden bag bl.a. den mest succesrige, danske gyser nogensinde, "Nattevagten" (og en toer er på vej!), samt tv-succesen "Charlot og Charlotte" og den kontroversielle DR-produktion "1864".
I denne uge er Bornedal aktuel med sin første spillefilm i otte år: den drabelige komedie "Dræberne fra Nibe", hvori flere af Danmarks største skuespillere tumler med stillestående sexliv, ulykkelige ægteskaber og russiske lejemordere(!).
Moovy TV har talt med både Bornedal og en af filmens hovedrolleindehavere: Den Robert- og Bodil-belønnede Lene Maria Christensen ("Frygtelig lykkelig"), som bl.a. taler om besværet med at tale nordjysk og filmens herlige "Coen-brødrene-vibes".

We caught up with director Ole Bornedal at Comic-Con in San Diego to talk about his new movie 'The Possession', how true to the actual events does the film follow, being invited to see the actual box based on the film, weird things that happened during filming, his personal experience and beliefs in the paranormal, working with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick and Natasha Calis, how the film is different from other films in the genre and casting Natasha Calis as "Em".

Ole Bornedal
Ole Bornedal (born 26 May 1959) is a Danish film director, actor and producer.
Bornedal was born in Nørresundby, Denmark. He wrote and directed Nattevagten (Nightwatch, 1994), a thriller about a law student who works in a morgue as a night-watchman, and becomes implicated in a series of murders of prostitutes. He also directed an English language remake (Nightwatch) in 1997, starring Ewan McGregor, Nick Nolte and Patricia Arquette. In 2002, he directed I Am Dina. Other Danish films include The Substitute (2007), Just Another Love Story (2007), and Deliver Us from Evil. In 2012, he directed the English-language film The Possession. He was one of the producers of Mimic.
He is married to the Danish actress, Helle Fagralid, and has three children.

The Possession
The Possession is a 2012 supernatural horror film directed by Ole Bornedal and produced by Sam Raimi. It was released in the US on August 31, 2012, with the film premiering at the Film4 FrightFest.
The story is based on the allegedly haunted dybbuk box. Bornedal cited films like The Exorcist as an inspiration, praising their subtlety.
Plot
A newly separated couple Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) live in different homes. After Clyde picks up their two children, Emily "Em" (Natasha Calis) and Hannah (Madison Davenport), for the weekend, they stop at a yard sale where Em becomes intrigued by an old wooden box that has Hebrew letters engraved on it. Clyde buys the box for Em, and they later find that there seems no way to open it. That night, Em hears whispering coming from the box. She is able to open it, and finds a tooth, a dead moth, a wooden figurine, and a ring, which she begins to wear. Em becomes solitary, and her behavior becomes increasingly sinister; she stabs her father in the hand with a fork. The house becomes infested with moths.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (born April 22, 1966) is an American actor. He is best known for portraying Denny Duquette in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy for parts of three seasons (2006-2009), John Winchester on Supernatural, The Comedian in the 2009 superhero film Watchmen, and Ike Evans in Magic City. He is currently playing the role of Jason Crouse on the TV series The Good Wife. He will portray Negan in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Early life
Morgan was born in Seattle, Washington, the son of Sandy Thomas and Richard Dean Morgan. He attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Rose Hill Junior High, and Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Washington. He was a basketball player in high school and college.
Career
Starting with the 1991 film Uncaged, Morgan has appeared in over 25 feature films. However, the bulk of his work has been in television. He was the star of the 1996–1997 television series The Burning Zone; his character, Dr. Edward Marcase, appeared in 10 out of 19 episodes that season. In 2005 and 2006, Morgan simultaneously appeared in three separate television series: on the CW series Supernatural as John Winchester, in a recurring role on ABC's Grey's Anatomy as heart transplant patient Denny Duquette, and as Judah Botwin in two episodes of the Showtime series Weeds. He has also guest-starred in a number of television series, including ER, JAG, Walker, Texas Ranger, Angel, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sliders, The O.C., and Monk.

Jeff Dean (computer scientist)
Jeffrey Adgate "Jeff" Dean (born 1968) is an American computer scientist and software engineer. He is currently a Google Senior Fellow in the Systems and Infrastructure Group.
Personal life and education
Dean received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, working with Craig Chambers on whole-program optimization techniques for object-oriented languages. He received a B.S., summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota in Computer Science & Economics in 1990. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2009, which recognized his work on "the science and engineering of large-scale distributed computer systems."
Career in computer science
Prior to joining Google, he was at DEC/Compaq's Western Research Laboratory, where he worked on profiling tools, microprocessor architecture, and information retrieval.
Prior to graduate school, he worked at the World Health Organization's Global Programme on AIDS, developing software for statistical modeling and forecasting of the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Kyra Sedgwick
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress and producer. She is best known for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick's role in the series won her a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13, 2012, following the completion of its seventh season.
She has appeared in a number of films, including; Born on the Fourth of July, Phenomenon, and Secondhand Lions.
Early life
Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (née Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage, and her mother was Jewish. On her father's side, she is a descendant of Judge Theodore Sedgwick, Endicott Peabody (the founder of the Groton School), William Ellery (a signer of the Declaration of Independence), John Lathrop (American minister) (1740–1816), of Boston, Massachusetts and is the great-granddaughter of Henry Dwight Sedgwick III, and thus the corresponding niece to his brother Ellery Sedgwick, owner/editor (1908-1938) of The Atlantic Monthly. Sedgwick is also a sister of actor Robert Sedgwick, half-sister of jazz guitarist Mike Stern, the first cousin once removed of actress Edie Sedgwick, and a niece of the writer John Sedgwick.

We caught up with director Ole Bornedal at Comic-Con in San Diego to talk about his new movie 'The Possession', how true to the actual events does the film follow, being invited to see the actual box based on the film, weird things that happened during filming, his personal experience and beliefs in the paranormal, working with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick and Natasha Calis, how the film is different from other films in the genre and casting Natasha Calis as "Em".

Bizonytalan kezdet után, Jákob felfedezi, hogy ifjú felesége telhetetlensége egyre nő minden iránt, amit az élet kínál.
Dinának jó feje van a számokhoz és fokozatosan átveszi Reinsnes könyvelését. Jákob nevet üzletfelei megbotránkozásán, hogy fiatal felesége cigarettázik és keményen beszél a tárgyalóasztalnál; ugyanakkor megrázza Dina ragaszkodása ahhoz, hogy megálljanak útközben végignézni egy akasztást. Mimic is an American 1997 science fiction horror film co-written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, and starring Mira Sorvino, Jeremy Northam, Josh Brolin, Charles S. Dutton and Giancarlo Giannini. It is based on a short story of the same name by Donald A. Wollheim.
Del Toro was unhappy with the film as released, especially because he did not succeed in obtaining a final cut of the film; however, his director's cut version was finally released in 2011. Mimic, whose U.S. theatrical gross was $25 million, was followed by two direct-to-video sequels, Mimic 2 (2001) and Mimic 3: Sentinel (2003), neither of them with del Toro involved.
It includes several examples of del Toro's most characteristic hallmarks. "I have a sort of a fetish for insects, clockwork, monsters, dark places, and unborn things," said del Toro, and this is evident in Mimic, where at times all are combined in long, brooding shots of dark, cluttered, muddy chaotic spaces. According to Alfonso Cuarón, del Toro's friend and colleague, "with Guillermo the shots are almost mathematical — everything is planned.

But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

Ole Bornedal er en af Danmarks største filminstruktører – manden bag bl.a. den mest succesrige, danske gyser nogensinde, "Nattevagten" (og en toer er på vej!), samt tv-succesen "Charlot og Charlotte" og den kontroversielle DR-produktion "1864".
I denne uge er Bornedal aktuel med sin første spillefilm i otte år: den drabelige komedie "Dræberne fra Nibe", hvori flere af Danmarks største skuespillere tumler med stillestående sexliv, ulykkelige ægteskaber og russiske lejemordere(!).
Moovy TV har talt med både Bornedal og en af filmens hovedrolleindehavere: Den Robert- og Bodil-belønnede Lene Maria Christensen ("Frygtelig lykkelig"), som bl.a. taler om besværet med at tale nordjysk og filmens herlige "Coen-brødrene-vibes".

We caught up with director Ole Bornedal & producer Sam Raimi at 'The Possession' premiere to talk about their new movie, how much involvement the family the movie was based on had in the film, weird experiences that happened during production, why they wanted to take on a possession movie and what they love about horror films.
The Possession hits theaters on August 31st, 2012.

Based on a true story, THE POSSESSION is the terrifying story of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil
Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

I denne uge er Bornedal aktuel med sin første spillefilm i otte år: den drabelige komedie "Dræberne fra Nibe", hvori flere af Danmarks største skuespillere tumler med stillestående sexliv, ulykkelige ægteskaber og russiske lejemordere(!).

Feleségül veszi a lányt, Reinsnesbe, a tengermenti kereskedelmi állomásra viszi, amelyet ő vezet mostohaanyjával és két mostohafivérével. Bizonytalan kezdet után, Jákob felfedezi, hogy ifjú felesége telhetetlensége egyre nő minden iránt, amit az élet kínál.
Dinának jó feje van a számokhoz és fokozatosan átveszi Reinsnes könyvelését. Jákob nevet üzletfelei megbotránkozásán, hogy fiatal felesége cigarettázik és keményen beszél a tárgyalóasztalnál; ugyanakkor megrázza Dina ragaszkodása ahhoz, hogy megálljanak útközben végignézni egy akasztást. Mimic is an American 1997 science fiction horror film co-written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, and starring Mira Sorvino, Jeremy Northam, Josh Brolin, Charles S. Dutton and Giancarlo Giannini. It is based on a short story of the same name by Donald A. Wollheim.
Del Toro was unhappy with the film as released, especially because he did not succeed in obtaining a final cut of the film; however, his director's cut version was finally released in 2011. Mimic, whose U.S. theatrical gross was $25 million, was followed by two direct-to-video sequels, Mimic 2 (2001) and Mimic 3: Sentinel (2003), neither of them with del Toro involved.
It includes several examples of del Toro's most characteristic hallmarks. "I have a sort of a fetish for insects, clockwork, monsters, dark places, and unborn things," said del Toro, and this is evident in Mimic, where at times all are combined in long, brooding shots of dark, cluttered, muddy chaotic spaces. According to Alfonso Cuarón, del Toro's friend and colleague, "with Guillermo the shots are almost mathematical — everything is planned.
