Spam (its name a portmanteau of the words "Spiced" and "Ham") is a canned precooked meat product made by the Hormel Foods Corporation, first introduced in 1937. The labeled ingredients in the classic variety of Spam are chopped pork shoulder meat, with ham meat added, salt, water, modified potato starch as a binder, and sodium nitrite as a preservative. Spam's gelatinous glaze, or aspic, forms from the cooling of meat stock. The product has become part of many jokes and urban legends about mystery meat, which has made it part of pop culture and folklore. Through a Monty Python sketch, in which Spam is portrayed as ubiquitous and inescapable, its name has come to be given to electronic spam, including spam email.
In 2007, the seven billionth can of Spam was sold. On average, 3.8 cans are consumed every second in the United States.
Spam is typically sold in cans with a net weight of 340 grams (12 ounces). A 100-gram (3.5-ounce) serving of original Spam provides 1,300kJ (310 Calories or kilocalories), 13 grams of protein (26% DV), 3 grams of carbohydrates (1% DV), 27 grams of total fat (41% DV), including 10 grams of saturated fat (49% DV). The cholesterol content of Spam is 70 milligrams (23% DV). A serving also contains 57% of the recommended daily intake of sodium (1369 milligrams). Spam provides the following vitamins and minerals: 0% vitamin A, 1% vitamin C , 1% calcium, 5% iron, 3% magnesium, 9% potassium, 12% zinc, and 5% copper.

Monty Python (sometimes known as The Pythons) was a British surreal comedy group who created Monty Python's Flying Circus, a British television comedy sketch show that first aired on the BBC on 5 October 1969. Forty-five episodes were made over four series. The Python phenomenon developed from the television series into something larger in scope and impact, spawning touring stage shows, films, numerous albums, several books and a stage musical as well as launching the members to individual stardom. The group's influence on comedy has been compared to The Beatles' influence on music.
The television series, broadcast by the BBC from 1969 to 1974, was conceived, written and performed by members Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin. Loosely structured as a sketch show, but with an innovative stream-of-consciousness approach (aided by Gilliam's animation), it pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in style and content. A self-contained comedy team responsible for both writing and performing their work, the Pythons' creative control allowed them to experiment with form and content, discarding rules of television comedy. Their influence on British comedy has been apparent for years, while in North America it has coloured the work of cult performers from the early editions of Saturday Night Live through to more recent absurdist trends in television comedy. "Pythonesque" has entered the English lexicon as a result.

Spam Musubi with Kimchi Spam is one of those ingredients that you either love or hate. In the US, Spam has a bad rep as being mystery meat or poor people’s food due to its WWII history. However, outside the US, like in South Korea, Spam is considered a classy gift with elaborate gift boxes. I like Spam, but, only in small amounts. The salt content, even in the Low Sodium Spam, can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. My favorite way to prepare Spam is Spam musubi. Spam musubi is a popular snack and lunch food in Hawaii. Spam Musubi with Kimchi
Spam is one of those ingredients that you either love or hate. In the US, Spam has a bad rep as being mystery meat or poor people’s food due to its WWII history. However, outside the US, like in South Korea, Spam is considered a classy gift with elaborate gift boxes.
I like Spam, but, only in small amounts. The salt content, even in the Low Sodium Spam, can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. My favorite way to prepare Spam is Spam musubi.
Spam musubi is a popular snack and lunch food in Hawaii. At the root of it, it’s cooked Spam, rice, a slightly sweet sauce and nori. There’s a number of different ingredients you can add to it, like egg, furikake, or kimchi. You can slice the Spam thicker, use more/less rice, it’s up to you.
There’s a mold you can purchase to make musubi, but the small Spam can works perfectly...plus I don’t like purchasing single use kitchen tools.
Ingredients:
1 small can of Spam sliced into four ¼” slices
2 cups of cooked rice
Four 2” strips of nori
Kimchi
¼ cup of sugar
¼ cup of soy sauce
¼ cup of mirin
Directions:
1. Make rice over stovetop or in a rice cooker. Set aside and keep warm
2. Mix sugar, soy sauce and mirin in a small bowl until sugar has dissolved. Set aside.
3. Heat approximately ½ tbsp of oil in a frying pan. Pan fry Spam slices until browned on both sides.
3. Brush sauce mixture on both sides of the Spam and continue to fry until slightly caramelized. Remove from pan and set aside.
4. Wash and dry the Spam can. Line the inside with plastic wrap. Pack rice into the can so it’s about ⅓” thick.
5. If you’re using kimchi, place a layer of kimchi on top of the rice.
6. Place a slice of the fried Spam on top of the kimchi. Gather the excess plastic wrap around the top of the Spam and continue to pack down. Pull out the musubi and set aside. Repeat with the remaining slices of Spam.
7. Lay down a strip of nori on your work surface. Unwrap a Spam and rice block and center it on top of nori. Fold the nori tightly around the musubi and seal with a dab of water.
8. Repeat with remaining musubis and enjoy!
Notes:
If you like more sauce, brush some sauce on the rice block before you place the kimchi or Spam. You can also warm up the remaining sauce and use it as a dipping sauce.
If you’re using kimchi, you can also finely mince the kimchi, squeeze out the excess juice and layer it on top of the rice.

19th century
George A. Hormel (born 1860 in Buffalo, New York) worked in a Chicago slaughterhouse before becoming a traveling wool and hide buyer. His travels took him to Austin and he decided to settle there, borrow $500, and open a meat business. Hormel handled the production side of the business and his partner, Albert Friedrich, handled the retail side. The two dissolved their partnership in 1891 so that Hormel could start a complete meat packing operation on his own. He opened George A. Hormel & Co. in the northeast part of Austin in an old creamery building on the Cedar River. To make ends meet in those early days, Hormel continued to trade in hides, eggs, wool, and poultry. Joining George in November 1891 was his youngest brother, Benjamin, age 14. By the end of 1891 Hormel employed six men and had slaughtered and sold 610 head of livestock...
1900s
In 1901, the plant was expanded and the business was incorporated. The first directors were A.L. Eberhart and the four Hormel brothers: George, Herman, John and Ben. In 1903 George decided to add a three-story hog-kill, a two-story beef-kill, an annex, an engine room, a machine shop and a casing production department. The name Dairy Brand was registered with the U.S. Patent Office in 1903. In the first decade of the 20th century distribution centers were opened in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Duluth, San Antonio, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and Birmingham. George Hormel visited England in 1905 and started exporting products soon after.
1910s
By 1910, Hormel products were routinely appearing in national magazines. That same year the company developed a procedure to recycle its waste water by daily evaporating up to 9,000 gallons of water, leaving a syrupy liquid which was dried to produce a commercial fertilizer. In 1915 Hormel began selling dry sausages under the names of Cedar Cervelat, Holsteiner and Noxall Salami. That same year Hormel bought Alderson's Mill and began selling Hormel Peerless Minnesota flour nationwide. Hormel joined the World War I effort, George's son Jay C. went into military service and by the end of the war, exports accounted for 33% of the company's yearly volume.

In 1921, when Jay Hormel returned from service in WWI, he uncovered that assistant controller Cy Thomson had embezzled $1,187,000 from the company over the previous ten years. The embezzlement scandal provided George Hormel with additional incentive to fortify his company. He did so by arranging for more reliable capital management, by dismissing unproductive employees, and by continuing to develop new products. In 1926, the company introduced Hormel Flavor-Sealed Ham, America's first canned ham and it added chicken to its line in 1928. Jay C. Hormel became company president in 1929 and that same year the plant was expanded again to include eight new structures and the main office was tripled in size. In the late 1920s and early 1930s sales branches opened up in Houston, Beaumont, Chattanooga, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Newark, Los Angeles, Vicksburg, and Nuevo Laredo (Mexico).

Who's idea was it to give Link a jillion projectiles? Let's SPAM 110 Likes! WOW, this episode has some very, very persistent players on it. For all of you looking to learn R.O.B. a little better, one very important tip I have for you is learning how to Z-Drop your Gyro. Z-Drops are pretty much the best way of using Gyro. Why, you ask? As long as Gyro is thrown or dropped, its hitbox is always active UNTIL it either hits an opponent once (can't hit them again), or hits a shield (disappears). Spam is a big problem these days and basically spam is unsolicited or an unrequested email.
But if someone is interested in your product or service they can actually get email from you through a professional service called an auto responder.
In this webinar I specifically demonstrate the value I've using traffic wave as your autoresponder because it is valuable as a tool and one of the best choices on the Internet.
