The saga of the multi million shillings looting of the National Youth Service got murkier today (Tuesday) after former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru sensationally linked Deputy President William Ruto and his close associates to the scam.
In an affidavit filed in court, Waiguru claimed she had been informed by the then acting senior deputy director general of NYS, Adan Harakhe, of a claim by one of the suspects, Ben Gethi, that the illegal payments totaling over Sh800 million were for companies associated with finance CS Henry Rotich who was allegedly Ruto’s point man.
While insisting that she was not at all involved in the saga, Waiguru also linked close associates of the deputy president including his personal assistant Farouk Kibet, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Leader of Majority in Parliament Aden Duale to the saga.
The damning affidavit sworn by former devolution secretary Anne Waiguru has essentially thrown a spanner in the works of a probe to establish just who was involved in the theft of the Sh791 million from NYS.

In what is bound to cause ripples in the Jubilee coalition, an affidavit by former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru claimed members allied to the United Republican Party associated with Deputy President William Ruto were responsible for the corruption scourge at the her former ministry.
Majority leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale who was mentioned in the affidavit with Waiguru claiming that he was intimidating Aden Harakhe has however dismissed Waiguru's allegations as falsehoods.
He accused Waiguru of attempting to cause disunity in the Jubilee coalition insisting the party was intact and would not be shaken.
On accusations levelled against him, Duale promised to deal with Waiguru further accusing her of being behind the corruption scandals in the Devolution ministry.
Meanwhile three Rift Valley MPs, Alfred Keter of Nandi hills, Oscar Sudi of Kapseret and Johana Ng'eno of Emurua Dikir have called for the resignation of Duale and Murkomen following their alleged involvement the NYS saga.
Keter accused Duale of attempting to cover up for the stolen millions by rallying MPs to vote against his motion.

An affidavit sworn by a key witness and suspect against the assets recovery agency heavily implicates former devolution cabinet secretary, Ann Waiguru in the 791 million shillings NYS scandal.
The author of the affidavit Josephine Kabura Irungu said that the former CS helped her register companies that were then used as conduits in the payment of the 791 million shillings.

The saga of the multi million shillings looting of the National Youth Service got murkier today (Tuesday) after former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru sensationally linked Deputy President William Ruto and his close associates to the scam.
In an affidavit filed in court, Waiguru claimed she had been informed by the then acting senior deputy director general of NYS, Adan Harakhe, of a claim by one of the suspects, Ben Gethi, that the illegal payments totaling over Sh800 million were for companies associated with finance CS Henry Rotich who was allegedly Ruto’s point man.
While insisting that she was not at all involved in the saga, Waiguru also linked close associates of the deputy president including his personal assistant Farouk Kibet, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Leader of Majority in Parliament Aden Duale to the saga.
The damning affidavit sworn by former devolution secretary Anne Waiguru has essentially thrown a spanner in the works of a probe to establish just who was involved in the theft of the Sh791 million from NYS.
