Let's Play How the Saints Saved Christmas (and talk about UFC 194)
A quick play through of How the Saints Saved Christmas with some talk about UFC 194. I might do another run-through with the British male voice closer to Christmas. Though as great as Robin Atkin Downes's voice is, I really miss the guy from Saints Row 2 (who also played the father in The Nanny). This is probably the best Saints Row DLC in the series. A quick play through of How the Saints Saved Christmas with some talk about UFC 194. I might do another run-through with the British male voice closer to Christmas. Though as great as Robin Atkin Downes's voice is, I really miss the guy from Saints Row 2 (who also played the father in The Nanny).
This is probably the best Saints Row DLC in the series. It's short, but has plenty of funny moments and cool unlocks.

He is reacquainted with his former rival Ocelot (Troy Baker) and encounters Quiet (Stefanie Joosten) an assassin and sniper with supernatural abilities. While Snake and Kazuhiro Miller (Robin Atkin Downes) are driven to exact revenge, Snake soon unearth a plot by Cipher to develop a new model of the Metal Gear system known as ST-84.
Hide Kojima has stated this will be his final Metal Gear Solid game as he has now part ways with Konami, Kojima’s name was removed from the game cover.

Actor Robin Atkin Downes and director Michael Chang sat down with CBR TV at WonderCon in Anaheim, CA to discuss their upcoming "Superman Vs. The Elite" animated feature, available June 12 in store and via digital download from DC Entertainment and Warner Home Video, as well as their history in animation.
Chang discussed the pressures of working on an animated feature as opposed to single episodes of a series. The movie allowed the director to spend more time on a single story and give it the proper time to develop and become a richer story. Both Downes and Chang admitted they did not read "Action Comics" #775, upon which the story is based, prior to starting work on the movie. They have each read the comic book since and hope their film lives up to the story originally told by writer Joe Kelly and artist Doug Mahnke.
Downes discussed his choice of accent for Elite member Manchester Black, and nailing the right dialect that fit both the actor and would remain understandable for American audiences. Downes discussed some of his past accent and dialect choices as well as the reception of accents across the world. Downes particularly enjoyed the unique nature of Manchester Black as a foil for Superman due to his status as an anti-hero, making him more relatable than other villains in Superman's world. CBR's Jonah Weiland noted that Downes seems drawn to villainous characters -- he also plays Mumm-Ra in the new "Thundercats" series -- but the actor said he enjoys playing both heroes and their nemeses.
The choice of this story, as opposed to something longer or more recent, stemmed from its topical and current nature according to Chang. Even though it's a shorter tale, it has a strong heart that the filmmaker hopes resonates with fans.

His presence is no secret, as he was featured heavily (some say too heavily) in the film's second full-length trailer. So why the continued secrecy around his casting? I have no idea, really, but I do know who portrays the character. Doomsday is played by voiceover artist and motion capture actor Robin Atkin Downes, who confirmed the news in a tweet last month. He wrote at the time, "Very proud to release that I helped bring #Doomsday to life in the upcoming @BatmanvSuperman."
Downes has since confirmed that he voiced the character, and he is listed on IMDb's cast page for the film under "Creature Vocals". He also revealed in an interview with All Systems Go that he didn't know the creature he was voicing was Doomsday until the public knew about the character's involvement in the film. That's how secretive the whole process was. What is still unknown, however, is if Downes also portrayed Doomsday via motion capture in addition to providing the voice for the character, as he has plenty of experience with the technique in a number of video games.
It shouldn't be too shocking that Downes was tapped to voice Doomsday, since the guy has a ton of experience lending his voice to various DC Comics projects. He's voiced notable characters like Alfred Pennyworth, Deathstroke, Harvey Dent, and Deadshot in a total of three Batman video games, eight DC animated films, and four DC TV series, including Justice League. Ironically, he also voices The Abomination on the Marvel animated series Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.; a character whose film version in The Incredible Hulk bears more than a passing resemblance to Batman v Superman's Doomsday.
It certainly seems like Batman v Superman made the right call in bringing Robin Atkin Downes on board to voice Doomsday. The actor clearly has a passion for DC Comics and the experience necessary to bring the character to life. So now the only question is: Will he return for future movies in the expanding DC film universe?
