The Howard Stern Show is an American radio show hosted by its namesake Howard Stern. It gained wide recognition in the 1990s when it was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005. The show has been exclusive to Sirius XM Radio, a subscription-based satellite radio service, since 2006. Other predominant staff members include co-host and news anchor Robin Quivers, writer Fred Norris, and producer Gary Dell'Abate.
The show developed in 1979 when Stern landed his first morning shift at WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut, four years into his professional career. He continued to break out as a morning personality at WWWW in Detroit, Michigan in 1980 and was paired with Quivers in 1981 at WWDC in Washington, D.C.. In 1982, Stern's success in Washington led to a spot at WNBC in New York City, where he hosted the city's top afternoon show until his firing in 1985. The show returned to the airwaves soon after on WXRK, where it became one of the most popular radio shows. Following the announcement of Stern's move to Sirius, the show left terrestrial radio in December 2005.
Howard Allan Stern (born January 12, 1954) is an American radio personality, television host, author, actor and photographer best known for his radio show which was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2005. He gained wide recognition in the 1990s where he was labeled a "shock jock" for his outspoken and sometimes controversial style. Stern has been exclusive to Sirius XM Radio, a subscription-based satellite radio service, since 2006. The son of a former recording and radio engineer, Stern wished to pursue a career in radio at the age of five. While at Boston University he worked at the campus station WTBU before a brief stint at WNTN in Newton, Massachusetts.
He developed his on-air personality when he landed positions at WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, WCCC in Hartford and WWWW in Detroit. In 1981, he was paired with his current newscaster and co-host Robin Quivers at WWDC in Washington, D.C. Stern then moved to WNBC in New York City in 1982 to host afternoons until his firing in 1985. He re-emerged on WXRK that year, and became one of the most popular radio personalities during his 20-year tenure at the station. Stern's show is the most-fined radio program, after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued fines to station licensees for allegedly indecent material that totaled $2.5 million. Stern has won Billboard's Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year award eight times, and is one of the highest-paid figures in radio.
Gary Wayne Coleman (February 8, 1968 – May 28, 2010) was an American actor, known for his childhood role as Arnold Jackson in the American sitcom Diff'rent Strokes (1978–1986) and for his small stature as an adult. He was described in the 1980s as "one of television's most promising stars". After a successful childhood acting career, Coleman struggled financially later in life. In 1989, he successfully sued his parents and business advisor over misappropriation of his assets, only to declare bankruptcy a decade later.
Coleman was born in Zion, Illinois, outside Chicago. He was adopted by Edmonia Sue and W.G. Coleman, a nurse practitioner and fork-lift operator, respectively. He suffered from focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, an autoimmune kidney disease. Because of his chronic illness, combined with the corticosteroids and other medications used to treat it, his growth was limited to 4 ft 7 in (1.40 m), and his face retained a childlike appearance well into adulthood. He underwent two unsuccessful kidney transplants in 1973 and 1984, and required daily dialysis.

I WENT THE GAY WAY...By The Backside Boys
(Listed below are the lyrics to Howard Stern's
song parody of the Backstreet Boys'
"I Want It That Way", which was first performed on 9/27/99)
Opening Music
Howard Stern singing:
This song.. makes me cry, makes me crave.. a man's backside.
Every time I hear this dumb song played, I feel like I'm gay.
I watch.. the telly While Ralph.. shaves my belly.
People wonderin' if I'm still straight.. am I going gay?
Get K-Y.. this song makes my butt ache.
Need a Guy.. homo love could be a mistake.
Get K.Y...Men's backside's are a dirty place.
Could I go the gay way?
Fred Norris singing:
Jackie.. bend ooover, and bark loud.. like Ro-ver..
Would K.C. be my love sla-ave? If I went the gay way.
Howard Stern singing:
Get K-Y!.. I'm singin' like a sissy.
Get K-Y!.. Ralph come and see my butt cheeks.
Get K-Y!.. I'm thinkin' 'bout the ballet
Could I go the gay way?
Fred Norris singing:
Will there be pain, man I can not explain, what's coming over me?
If I start to resist, please don't use fist, or I might need some surgery!
Howard Stern singing:
I watch.. the telly.. while Ralph.. shaves my belly.
Homo.. homo.. homo.. homo.. homo.. With every passing day!
Howard Stern singing:
Get K-Y!.. Would I like to see a sphincter?
Get K-Y!.. No smell is more distincter!
Get K-Y!.. I wonder what my wife would say!
If I went the gay way.
Get K-Y!.. I really Need a Sphincter
Get K-Y!.. No smell is more distincter
Get K-Y!.. I wonder what my wife would say
If i went the gay way
Get K-Y!..Sphincter, Sphincter, Sphincter, Sphincter
Get K-Y!..Di stincter, stincter, stincter
Get K-Y!..I wonder what my wife would say
If i went the gay way
