Shyamalal Babu Rai, known professionally as Indeevar (Hindi: इंदीवर), (credited as Indiwar, Indeewar, Indivar, or Indiver) (1924 – February 27, 1997 ) was one of the leading Hindi film lyricists in the 1960s.
He was born in Dhamna Village of Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh and grew up in Barua Sagar in Jhansi District. He moved to Bombay to pursue a professional career as a lyricist.
He got recognition in Malhar in 1949, where he penned "Bade Armano Se Rakkha Hai Balam Teri Kasam" which was set to music by Roshan. He wrote over a thousand songs in over 300 films in a career spanning over four decades . Indivar also wrote songs for famous pop duo Nazia Hassan and Zohaib Hassan. Nazia Hassan's famous songs "Aap Jaisa Koi", "Boom Boom", "Meherbani", "Dil ki Lagi" & Zohaib Hassan's "Star" was written by Indeevar.

Alka Yagnik (Hindi: अलका याज्ञनिक, Bengali: অলকা ইয়াগনিক) is an Indian playback singer. She is noted in Hindi cinema with a career spanning over three decades. She is a record seven-time winner from a record of 36 nominations of the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer, a two-time recipient of the National Film Award as well as several other music awards & honours. Further, as many as 20 of her tracks feature in BBC's "Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of all time" review.
Alka Yagnik was born in Kolkata on 20 March 1966, to Gujarati Hindu Parents. Her mother Shubha Yagnik was a singer of Indian classical music. She did her schooling from Modern High School for Girls. In 1972 at the age of six, she started singing for Akashvani (All India Radio), Calcutta. At age 10, her mother brought her to Mumbai as a child singer. She was advised to wait until her voice matured, but her mother remained determined. On a subsequent visit, Alka got a letter of introduction to Raj Kapoor from his Kolkata distributor. Kapoor heard the girl and sent her with a letter to noted music director Laxmikant. Impressed, Laxmikant gave her two alternatives – an immediate start as a dubbing artist or a later break as a singer; Shubha chose the latter for her daughter.

Zoheb Hassan (born November 18, 1966) is a British Pakistani pop icon and is a part of the duo Nazia and Zoheb Hassan.
Zoheb and his sister Nazia spent their childhood in Karachi as well as London.
After the release of their first album, Disco Deewane, Nazia and Zoheb became the South-Asian sub-continent's first pop icons. Several successful albums established the duo's status as pioneers of pop music in the region. They sold over 85 million records worldwide and topped the charts in several countries, including South Africa, Guatemala, Columbia, Venezuela, etc.
Zoheb is a singer, songwriter and producer. His ballad "Chehra" is considered a core romantic anthem to this day. He has received 12 gold, 4 platinum and 2 double platinum discs in his music career. He is also the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the United Nations Association of Pakistan and an award from Oxford University for Achievements in the field of South Asian Music. He took some time off from music after Nazia's demise to concentrate on his family business in Pakistan and the UK. Zoheb is married to Gina Hassan, a writer and has three children Allyana, Amelia and Azmere.

Nazia Hassan (April 1965 – 13 August 2000) was a Pakistani pop singer-songwriter. Starting her music career at the age of 10 she became one of the most prominent singers in Pakistan and India. She has been termed as the "Queen of Pop" in South Asia. She, along with her brother Zoheb Hassan, went on to sell over 60 million records worldwide. Her English language single Dreamer Deewane made her the first Pakistani singer to make it to the British charts.
Hassan made her singing debut with the song "Aap Jaisa Koi", from the Indian film Qurbani (1980). Her debut album, Disco Deewane (1981), also charted in fourteen countries worldwide and became the best-selling Asian pop record up until that time. This was followed by Boom Boom, Young Tarang (1984), Hotline which was her last solo album (1987) and her last album was Camera Camera (1992) was part of a campaign against drugs. Along with her brother, she also appeared in a several television programs. In 1988 she appeared in "Sung Sung" with music maestro Sohail Rana. They also hosted the first-ever pop-music stage show, Music'89, produced by Shoaib Mansoor.

Ashok Kumar (13 October 1911 – 10 December 2001), born Kumudlal Ganguly and also fondly called Dadamoni, was an Indian film actor who attained iconic status in Indian cinema. He was honoured in 1988 with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest national award for cinema artists, by the Government of India and also received the Padma Bhushan in 1999 for his contributions to Indian cinema. Naushad Ali (25 December 1919 – 5 May 2006) was an Indian musician. He was the foremost music directors for Hindi films and is particularly known for popularising the use of classical music in films. His first film as an independent music director was Prem Nagar in 1940.His first musical success film was Rattan (1944), following it up with 35 silver jubilee hits, 12 golden jubilee and 3 diamond jubilee mega successes.
