The East Coast Crips are on a mission to prove they're tougher than their West Coast counterparts by terrorizing the streets of NYC. Crips on the East Coast employ brutal, in-your-face violence, decimating anyone who stands in their way. Their unique brand of violence includes slashing the faces of their victims, leaving them permanently disfigured. The East Coast Crips will stop at nothing to conquer the "Big Apple.
The East Side (E/S) East Coast Crips are a large and infamous umbrella gang consisting of many different neighborhoods located on the eastside of South Central, Los Angeles, California. Despite the name's suggestion, the E.C.C. retain no connections to the east coast of the United States, but rather it is in reference to the eastside of South Central, Los Angeles (east of the 110 freeway that divides east and west South Central). This gang derived from the original East Side Crips and was formed in the late 1960s. The East Coast Crips has had a 3 decade long bloody battle with the Mad Swan Bloods gang to the south of their territory but have also clashed with the 52 Pueblo Bishop Bloods (far north/east), Harvard Park Brims, Center View Piru, Athens Park Bloods, the Be-Bopp Watts Bishop Bloods, the Family Swan Bloods, 52 Broadway Gangster Crips (north/west), the 53 Avalon Gangster Crips (north), Kitchen Crips, the 51 Trouble Gangster Crips, Nutty Blocc Compton Crips, Main Street Mafia Crips, Compton Varrio Tortilla Flats, 18th Street Gang, all Hoover Criminals and more recently, with the Grape Street Watts Crips. But their fiercest battle to date is the on-going one with the Mexican Mafia backed Florencia 13. It is believed that the East Coast Crips robbed a Latino street gang for a large amount of narcotics, which Authorities theorized prompted the Mexican Mafia to send a green light for gang members under the Sureños umbrella to attack, not only African American gang members, but non-affiliated Blacks as well. The East Coast Crips are one of the largest Crip sets in Los Angeles to claim the Neighbor Hood Crips card, making them allies of all "N-Hood" (Neighborhood) and Rollin 0s gangs. However, some E.C.C factions formed alliances with known N-Hood enemies such as the E/S 42 Gangster Crips, E/S 43 Gangster Crips, 47 Gangster Crips, 48 Gangster Crips, 87 Gangster Crips, and 97 Gangster Crips (this alliance is referred to as the Movin' Coast to Coast alliance). The success of N.W.A. had frustrated many in the gang community, who saw the group capitalizing on the gang lifestyle. The Bloods & Crips project was originally organized by rappers O.Y.G redruM781 and Tweedy Bird Loc.[1] Actual gang members, Crips from Compton, Watts and Long Beach, Bloods from Inglewood and Los Angeles auditioned for the group and the best ones were chosen for the album.[2] In 1993 the Bloods & Crips released their debut album entitled "Bangin' on Wax" for Warlock Records. One year later, the group's second and final studio album, "Bangin' on Wax 2... The Saga Continues" was released. After Bangin' on Wax 2, the Bloods & Crips parted ways, with the Bloods becoming the Damu Ridas and the Crips became the Nationwide Rip Ridaz. The Bloods and Crips members, from the albums were frauded out because of music royalties by Russ Regan and his wife and Adam Levy, soon Morris Levy and lawyer Steven Lowy gave the record deal to Ronnie Ron.
The idea behind the albums was to get the gang members to bang (slang for fight) on wax (i.e., record) and not in the streets. Each record consisted of a 'B' side and a 'C' side. The 'B' side consisted of Bloods and the 'C' side consisted of Crips. The songs "Bangin On Wax", "G's & Loc's" and "I Wish You Were Here" were the only songs where the Bloods & Crips rapped together in the original albums. Most of the songs were written and recorded in the same studio session. The producer, Ronnie Ron, died after a heart attack in 2003. Tweedy Bird Loc was the last person to have a close connection with Ron, he is currently working on the next Bloods & Crips album, which it's expected to be released soon directly from him.

The Crips are a primarily, but not exclusively, African-American gang. They were founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1969 mainly by Raymond Washington and Stanley Williams. What was once a single alliance between two autonomous gangs is now a loosely connected network of individual sets, often engaged in open warfare with one another.
The Crips are one of the largest and most violent associations of street gangs in the United States, with an estimated 30,000 to 35,000 members. The gang is known to be involved in murders, robberies, and drug dealing, among many other criminal pursuits. The gang is known for its gang members' use of the color blue in their clothing. However, this practice has waned due to police crackdowns on gang members.
Crips are publicly known to have an intense and bitter rivalry with the Bloods and lesser feuds with some Chicano gangs. Crips have been documented in the U.S. military, found in bases in the United States and abroad.
Stanley Tookie Williams met Raymond Lee Washington in 1969, and the two decided to unite their local gang members from the west and east sides of South Central Los Angeles in order to battle neighboring street gangs. Most of the members were 17 years old. Williams discounted the sometimes cited founding date of 1969 in his memoir, Blue Rage, Black Redemption. Gang activity in South Central Los Angeles has its roots in a variety of factors dating back to the 1950s and '60s, including post-World War II economic decline leading to joblessness and poverty, racial segregation leading to the formation of black "street clubs" by young African American men who were excluded from organizations such as the Boy Scouts, and the waning of black nationalist organizations such as the Black Panther Party and the Black Power Movement.

Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. (born October 20, 1971), better known by his stage name Snoop Dogg (formerly known as Snoop Doggy Dogg), is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. Snoop is best known as a rapper in the West Coast hip hop scene, and for being one of Dr. Dre's most notable protégés. Snoop Dogg was a Crip gang member while in high school. Shortly after graduation, he was arrested for cocaine possession and spent six months in Wayside County Jail. His music career began in 1992 after his release when he was discovered by Dr. Dre. He collaborated on several tracks on Dre's solo debut, The Chronic and on the titular theme song to the film Deep Cover.
Snoop's debut album Doggystyle, was released in 1993 under Death Row Records making a debut at No.1 on both the Billboard 200 and R&B charts. Selling almost a million copies in the first week of its release, Doggystyle quickly became certified 4× platinum in 1994 and spawned several hit singles, including "What's My Name" and "Gin & Juice". In 1994, Snoop released a soundtrack on Death Row Records for the short film Murder Was The Case, starring himself. In early 1996, Snoop Dogg was cleared of charges over his bodyguard's 1993 murder of Philip Woldemariam. His second album, late 1996's Tha Doggfather, also debuted at No.1 on both charts with "Snoop's Upside Ya Head" as the lead single. The album sold only half as well, being certified double platinum in 1997.

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, record producer, and actor. He rose to fame with the release of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) and The Massacre (2005). His album Get Rich or Die Tryin' has been certified eight times platinum by the RIAA.
Born in the South Jamaica of Queens, New York City, Jackson began drug dealing at the age of twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic. The success of N.W.A. had frustrated many in the gang community, who saw the group capitalizing on the gang lifestyle. This gang derived from the original East Side Crips and was formed in the late 1960s. The success of N.W.A. had frustrated many in the gang community, who saw the group capitalizing on the gang lifestyle. The Bloods & Crips project was originally organized by rappers O.Y.G redruM781 and Tweedy Bird Loc.[1] Actual gang members, Crips from Compton, Watts and Long Beach, Bloods from Inglewood and Los Angeles auditioned for the group and the best ones were chosen for the album.[2] In 1993 the Bloods & Crips released their debut album entitled "Bangin' on Wax" for Warlock Records. One year later, the group's second and final studio album, "Bangin' on Wax 2... The Saga Continues" was released. After Bangin' on Wax 2, the Bloods & Crips parted ways, with the Bloods becoming the Damu Ridas and the Crips became the Nationwide Rip Ridaz. The Bloods and Crips members, from the albums were frauded out because of music royalties by Russ Regan and his wife and Adam Levy, soon Morris Levy and lawyer Steven Lowy gave the record deal to Ronnie Ron.
The idea behind the albums was to get the gang members to bang (slang for fight) on wax (i.e., record) and not in the streets. Each record consisted of a 'B' side and a 'C' side. The 'B' side consisted of Bloods and the 'C' side consisted of Crips. The songs "Bangin On Wax", "G's & Loc's" and "I Wish You Were Here" were the only songs where the Bloods & Crips rapped together in the original albums. Most of the songs were written and recorded in the same studio session. The producer, Ronnie Ron, died after a heart attack in 2003. Tweedy Bird Loc was the last person to have a close connection with Ron, he is currently working on the next Bloods & Crips album, which it's expected to be released soon directly from him.

Bangin' on Wax is the first album by Bloods & Crips. The album was released in 1993 for Dangerous Records. Bangin' on Wax was a success, making it to #86 on the Billboard 200. Four singles were released "Bangin' on Wax", Piru Love, Crip, Crip, Crip and Steady Dippin'. The album has sold over 500,000 copies, reaching Gold status.
History:
The Bloods & Crips project was organized by producer Ronnie Phillips and rapper Tweedy Bird Loc, who is a Kelly Park Compton Crip himself.[1] Actual gang members, Crips from Compton and Long Beach, Bloods from Inglewood and Los Angeles auditioned for the group and the best ones were chosen for the album. In 1993 the Bloods & Crips released their debut album entitled Bangin' on Wax for Warlock Records. One year later, the groups second and final studio album, Bangin' on Wax 2... The Saga Continues was released. After Bangin' on Wax 2, the Bloods & Crips parted ways, with the Bloods becoming the Damu Ridas and the Crips became the Nationwide Rip Ridaz.
The idea behind the albums was to get the gang members to bang (slang for fight) on wax (i.e., record) and not in the streets. Each record consisted of a "B" side and a "C" side. The B side consisted of Bloods and the C side consisted of Crips. The song "Bangin On Wax" was the only song where the Bloods & Crips rapped together in the original album. Most of the songs were written and recorded in the same studio session.
