The problem with the Quran is there at so many claims in the Quran that are totally false for example in the Quran mohammed says that Jesus was not crucified but He appeared to them that He was crucified so if there is no cross they don't have to explain the resurrection have you ever compared the tenants of the christian faith with other systems its a good way to nail down what you think and determine what your frame of reference really is stay with us and find out why the christian faith makes sense today on just thinking with author and apologist ravi zacharias I believe the writing of the Old Testament can point a jew to faith in Christ can the writings of the Quran point a muslim to faith in Jesus Christ thats a fantastic question let me be careful on how I answer this there are two or three things you can do with the Quran that points to Jesus Christ for example there are some things the Quran says about Jesus that are true it tells us that He was virgin born it doesn't give that privilege to mohammed himself Jesus in the lone virgin born being testified to in both the Old and New Testaments and then of course the Quran He is described as being born of a virgin a remarkable fact number two He is referred to as what literally means the Word of God and a muslim who tries to argue with you will say well it actually says a word of God and even if you don't want to push at the category even mohammed isn't given that category of one who is described as a word of God then Jesus is described in the Quran as something which literally means spirit of God three fascinating discussions of Jesus Christ in the Quran where He is described as being virgin born the word of God and the spirit of God but the problem with the Quran is once you start surrendering to its authority there are so many other claims in the Quran that are totally false for example in the Quran mohammed says that Jesus was not crucified but that it appeared to them that He was crucified they actually believe that judas iscariot was actually put on the cross and made to look like Jesus and that Jesus Himself escaped so if there is no cross you won't have to explain the resurrection as they will say because He didn't die He didn't need to be resurrected although in the Quran it does tell us that Jesus had the power to raise from the dead and again it doesn't give any such credential to mohammed but having said that be very careful when you get into an argument with a muslim because a muslim is determined to dig his or her heals in and they will try to escape out of everything you try to say to them I remember talking with the number 3 man in the islamic world the chief mullah in Jerusalem the first from mecca the second from medina I was in his home and he gave me an hours personal interview it was one of the tensest hours I have ever had with any human being and he began to absolutely eye rate with me I said to him your Quran actually says there is no compulsion in religion and he said that is correct and I gave him the verse and scripture and he agreed so I said are you telling me that a muslim under you should be free to convert from islam to Christianity he said why do you say that I said if there is no compulsion in religion then there should be freedom to disbelieve in as well and to believe it and you should have seen him I mean you could have put flames on his shoulders I mean he was absolutely angry I said you are fooling with words you are telling me there is no compulsion and the next thing you tell me is if there is a person who wants to disbelieve you want their necks for it I said you are playing with words there is compulsion in your faith islam is not the fastest growing religion in the world it is the fastest growing enforced religion in the world if you take the nocks of the necks of the people in Iran and all these other countries tens of thousands of young people will make their turn to Christ I can put that down in writing for you I have seen it they will tell you to your face very quietly I don't want to believe this anymore but I will not have any freedom to live any longer if I don't renounce my faith in Islam today in Malaysia today to convert from islam to Christianity you have to go through a tribunal to explain it and there are all muslim judges sitting in front of you if you convert from christianity to islam no tribunal you can make the change well what about how do you deal with a muslim you keep asking his or her questions keep upholding Jesus Christ answer questions on the trinity and the divinity of Jesus Christ and the two most important things Love them with a genuine Love I can challenge you to go to any muslim who has come to know Christ and ask them how they will give you one of 2 answers the Love of a fellow christian or a dream Saudi Arabia Iran Iraq Syria Israel Gaza Pakistan Afghanistan Oman Dubai India China Japan Indonesia Malaysia Mecca Medina Jerusalem
