Didn't I sayI wasn't ready for a romanceDidn't we promise
We would only be friendsAnd so we dancedThough it was only a slow dance
I started breaking my promisesRight there and thenDidn't I swear
There would be no complicationsDidn't you wantSomeone who's seen it all before
Now that you're hereIt's not the same situation
Suddenly I don't remember the rules anymoreThis night is mineIt's only you and I
TomorrowIs a long time awayThis night can last foreverI've been around
Someone like me should know betterFalling in love
Would be the worst thing I could doDidn't I sayI needed time to forget her
Aren't you running from someoneWho's not over youHow many nights
Have I been lonely without youI tell myselfHow much I really don't care
How many nightsHave I been thinking about youWanting to hold you
But knowing you would not be thereThis nightYou're mineIt's only you and I
I'll tell youTo forget yesterdayThis night we are togetherThis nightIs mine
It's only you and ITomorrowIs such a long time awayThis night can last forever
