Augustine of Hippo (/ɔːˈɡʌstᵻn/ or /ˈɔːɡəstɪn/;Latin: Aurelius Augustinus Hipponensis; 13 November 354 – 28 August 430), also known as Saint Augustine, Saint Austin, or Blessed Augustine, was an early Christian theologian and philosopher whose writings influenced the development of Western Christianity and Western philosophy. He was the bishop of Hippo Regius (modern-day Annaba, Algeria), located in Numidia (Roman province of Africa). He is viewed as one of the most important Church Fathers in Western Christianity for his writings in the Patristic Era. Among his most important works are The City of God and Confessions.
According to his contemporary, Jerome, Augustine "established anew the ancient Faith." In his early years, he was heavily influenced by Manichaeism and afterward by the neo-Platonism of Plotinus. After his baptism and conversion to Christianity in 387, Augustine developed his own approach to philosophy and theology, accommodating a variety of methods and perspectives. Believing that the grace of Christ was indispensable to human freedom, he helped formulate the doctrine of original sin and made seminal contributions to the development of just war theory.

The Basij (Persian: بسيج), full name Sāzmān-e Basij-e Mostaz'afin (Persian: سازمان بسیج مستضعفین, "The Organization for Mobilization of the Oppressed") is a paramilitary volunteer militia established in 1979 by order of the Islamic Revolution's leader Ayatollah Khomeini. The original organization comprised the civilian volunteers whom the Ayatollah Khomeini urged to fight in the Iran–Iraq war. The force consists of young Iranians who have volunteered, often in exchange for official benefits. Currently Basij serve as an auxiliary force engaged in activities such as internal security as well as law enforcement auxiliary, the providing of social service, organizing of public religious ceremonies, and policing of morals and the suppression of dissident gatherings.Basij is the name of the force; a basiji is an individual member.
The Basij are set up as subordinate to, receiving their orders from, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei to whom they are known for their loyalty. They have also been described as "a loosely allied group of organizations" including "many groups controlled by local clerics." They have a local organization in almost every city in Iran.
Frontline is a public affairs television program that produces and broadcasts in-depth documentaries about various subjects. Produced at WGBH-TV in Boston, Massachusetts and distributed through the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States, the program has been critically acclaimed and received numerous awards. Some programs are made by independent filmmakers and broadcast as part of the Frontline series. Since the series debut, there have been more than 500 films broadcast. Although primarily seen through television, the program shows a large portion of their shows in interactive webcasts on their main website.
The program debuted in 1983, with NBC anchorwoman Jessica Savitch as its host, but Savitch died later in the first season. NewsHour's Judy Woodruff took over as anchor in 1984, and hosted the program for five years. In 1990, the show did away with the anchor position, and left the narrator to introduce each report.
Since 1988, Frontline has also aired "The Choice"—a series of special editions aired during the lead-up to presidential elections, focusing on the two candidates in the running to become President of the United States. The most recent of these aired on October 9, 2012, and featured a dual biography tracing the lives and careers of incumbent President Barack Obama and his challenger, Mitt Romney. The previous installment aired on October 14, 2008, using the same dual-biography format for Obama and John McCain. The 2008 documentary, produced by Michael Kirk, generated favorable reviews from The New York Times, which stated that the program helped viewers "gain perspective" about the "idea-oriented campaign," and The Los Angeles Times, which labeled it "refreshingly clear" and "informative".
PBS America is a British television channel derived from the American non-profit television network PBS. It is a joint venture between entrepreneur David Lyons and PBS Distribution, which owns the international rights to the bulk of PBS's output.
PBS America operates much like BBC Worldwide, a profit-making enterprise managed separately from the main non-profit, publicly financed arm, that will ideally generate money for its parent. It is provided by cable and satellite operators as part of their package of channels and carries advertising. Unlike PBS in the United States it does not solicit donations from viewers.
PBS America launched on 1 November 2011 (as PBS UK) via satellite on Sky and via cable on Virgin Media. On 23 August 2011, PBS UK launched a placeholder channel called Rosa on Sky channel 231, however they were able to acquire the more prominent channel 166 EPG slot from Information TV for use from launch. On 28 October 2011, a barker channel for PBS UK was added to Virgin Media channel 243. The cable operator has also secured the rights to offer PBS content on its video on demand service, including the Virgin Media Player.

A DEATH IN ST AUGUSTINE - premieres 9pm, Thursday 20 March on PBS America (Virgin Media 243 & Sky 534) This hard-hitting documentary, produced by Frontline in conjunction with the New York Times, looks at the death of a young single mother and allegations of a cover-up by the law enforcement agencies during the subsequent investigation. On the night of September 2, 2010, the body of 24-year-old Michelle O'Connell was found in her home in St Augustine, Florida, dead from a gunshot. Next to her body was a semi-automatic service pistol belonging to her boyfriend, Florida deputy sheriff Jeremy Banks. The relationship between the two had been turbulent -- indeed, Michelle had been planning to leave Jeremy. With what now seems extraordinary haste, the sheriff's office concluded that Michelle h...

**Fight Censorship on YouTube** ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - A third autopsy of a 24-year-old woman killed with her boyfriend’s police service gun nearly six years ago brings new hope to Michelle O'Connell's family, which has fought for years to prove her death was not a suicide. Patty O'Connell believes her daughter's boyfriend, St. Johns County Deputy Jeremy Banks, killed Michelle. The O’Connell family had the woman’s body exhumed in January and re-examined by Dr. Bill Anderson, a well-known forensic pathologist based in Orlando. Anderson has worked in medical examiner's offices across the country. Anderson told media sources his autopsy found that Michelle O’Connell’s death was a homicide. He said he found blunt-force trauma fractured her mandible -- her jawbone -- incapacitating her before ...
Hank Thomas, a St. Augustine native and one of the original "Freedom Riders" during the Civil Rights movement, returns to his hometown with Andrew Young to look at the difference between the local "white" and "black" cemeteries. They also visit an obscure monument to Leo C. Chase, a friend of Thomas killed in the Vietnam War. This short film, adapted from the documentary "After the Storm," is a stark illustration of a way of life -- and a way of death. As the oldest city in America approaches its 450th anniversary in 2015, the dead tell as story the living will not. Racial segregation remains so pervasive in this small, picturesque tourist city that it follows citizens even to the grave.

At the height of the protests following Iran's controversial presidential election this summer, a young woman named Neda Agha Soltan was shot and killed on the streets of Tehran. Her death -- filmed on a camera phone, then uploaded to the Web -- quickly became an international outrage, and Soltan became the face of a powerful movement that threatened the hard-line government's hold on power. In A Death in Tehran, FRONTLINE revisits the events of last summer, shedding new light on Neda's life and death and the movement she helped inspire. In response to the international outcry over Neda's death -- including President Obama's confirmation that he'd seen the "heartbreaking" video on YouTube -- the regime set about attempting to rewrite the story, pointing a finger at the CIA and outside ag...

Well you tell me you love me and I'm alright
Simple as that like the tail of a kite
And the old legionnaires well they're spoiling for a fight
On the streets of St. Augustine
Well the sun was in a bad mood in the cold winter sky
It was having a laugh on the look of surprise
Me I'm walking the cobblestone like a poet or a spy
On the streets of St. Augustine
California shimmers and I'll chase you someday
To the Fountain of Youth by the edge of the bay
But for now I just want to carry you away
To the streets of St. Augustine
Well they burned down the town in the name of a king
Divided it up for diamonds and rings
Now they're telling the singers there's no place to sing
On the streets of St. Augustine
And Fred well he's down from Nova Scotia again
He's sailing the seas on the palm of the wind
And he's going off to Cuba to that Canadian
From the streets of St. Augustine
And you can run from the pocket of a comfortable hand
Put your soul in a suitcase and travel the land
And count yourself lucky if you finally stand
On the streets of St. Augustine
Well you tell me you love me and I'm alright
Simple as that like the tail of a kite
I close my eyes and we're walking tonight
