Comfort Eagle is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Cake. It was released in 2001 on Columbia Records, their first with the company.
All songs written and composed by John McCrea, unless otherwise noted.
In its opening week, Comfort Eagle sold about 72,000 copies, debuting at number 13 on the Billboard 200. On February 2, 2003 the album was certified gold by the RIAA for shipments of half a million copies.
Comfort Eagle was generally well received by critics, with reviewers noting the album's similarity to the band's previous albums, for better or worse.
I Love You, I Love U, or I Luv U may refer to:
Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington (April 29, 1899 – May 24, 1974) was an American composer, pianist and bandleader of a jazz orchestra. He led his orchestra from 1923 until his death, his career spanning over 50 years.
Born in Washington, D.C., Ellington was based in New York City from the mid-1920s onward, and gained a national profile through his orchestra's appearances at the Cotton Club in Harlem. In the 1930s, his orchestra toured in Europe. Though widely considered to have been a pivotal figure in the history of jazz, Ellington embraced the phrase "beyond category" as a liberating principle, and referred to his music as part of the more general category of American Music, rather than to a musical genre such as jazz.
Some of the musicians who were members of Ellington's orchestra, such as saxophonist Johnny Hodges, are considered to be among the best players in jazz. Ellington melded them into the best-known orchestral unit in the history of jazz. Some members stayed with the orchestra for several decades. A master at writing miniatures for the three-minute 78 rpm recording format, Ellington often composed specifically to feature the style and skills of his individual musicians.
Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 – June 15, 1996) was an American jazz singer often referred to as the First Lady of Song, Queen of Jazz and Lady Ella. She was noted for her purity of tone, impeccable diction, phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
After tumultuous teenage years, Fitzgerald found stability in musical success with the Chick Webb Orchestra, performing across the country, but most often associated with the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem. Fitzgerald's rendition of the nursery rhyme "A-Tisket, A-Tasket" helped boost both her and Webb to national fame. Taking over the band after Webb died, Fitzgerald left it behind in 1942 to start a solo career that would last essentially the rest of her life.
Signed with manager and Savoy co-founder Moe Gale from early in her career, she eventually gave managerial control for her performance and recording career to Norman Granz, who built up the label Verve Records based in part on Fitzgerald's vocal abilities. With Verve she recorded some of her more widely noted works, particularly her interpretation of the Great American Songbook.

Love you madly,
Right or wrong,
Sounds like the lyric of a song.
But since it’s so,
I thought you ought to know,
I love you,
Love you madly.
“Better fish are in the sea”
Is not the theory for me
And that’s for sure,
Just like I said before,
I love you,
Love you madly.
If you could see the happy you and me
I dream about so proudly.
You’d know the breath of spring that makes me sing
My love song so loudly.
Good things come to those who wait,
So just relax and wait for fate.
To let me see the day you say with me,
‘I love you,
Love you madly.’
And that’s for sure,
Just like I said before,
I love you,
Love you madly.
If you could see the happy you and me
I dream about so proudly.
You’d know the breath of spring
That makes me sing
My love song so loudly.
To let me see the day you say with me,
‘I love you madly.’
Love you madly right or wrong sounds like the lyric of a song.
But since it’s so,
I thought you out to know,
I love you madly.
Better fish are in the sea
Is not the theory for me
And that’s for sure
Just like I said before,
I love you madly.
If you could see the happy you and me
I dream about so proudly.
You’d know the breath of spring
That makes me sing
My love song so loudly.
Good things come to those who wait,
So just relax and wait for fate.
To let me see the day you say with me,
‘I love you,
Love you madly.’
I love you
Love you, madly
I love you madly.
Oh, I got big eyes for you baby.
