The State funeral of Thomas Kent, took place in his home village in Cork on Friday, 18th September 2015. He one of 16 men executed following the 1916 Rising,.
Kent was executed by firing squad following his conviction for armed rebellion in May 1916. President Michael D Higgins joined members of his family at St Nicholas' Church in Castlelyons.
Kent, who had been buried in Cork Prison, was laid to rest alongside his brothers. Taoiseach Enda Kenny delivered the graveside oration
Gabriel Doherty, UCC, joins David McCullagh in studio, while John Bowman and Mary Kennedy provide commentary from Castlelyons.

Kent /ˈkɛnt/ is a county in South East England, and one of the home counties. It borders East Sussex, Surrey and Greater London and has a defined boundary with Essex in the middle of the Thames Estuary. The ceremonial county boundaries of Kent include the shire county of Kent and the unitary borough of Medway. Kent has a nominal border with France halfway through the Channel Tunnel. Maidstone is its county town and historically Rochester and Canterbury have been accorded city status, though only the latter still holds it.
Kent's location between London and the continental Europe has led to its being in the front line of several conflicts, including the Battle of Britain during World War II. East Kent was known as Hell Fire Corner during the conflict. England has relied on the county's ports to provide warships through much of the past 800 years; the Cinque Ports in the 12th–14th centuries and Chatham Dockyard in the 16th–20th centuries were of particular importance to the country's security. France can be seen clearly in fine weather from Folkestone, and the iconic White Cliffs of Dover.

Tom Kent (born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina),is an American radio personality. As the head of the Tom Kent Radio Network, he hosts 105 hours of classic hits programming each week, which, as of February 2011, is distributed through United Stations Radio Networks.
Prior to becoming syndicated, Kent worked on the air and in programming at top 40 radio stations WLS in Chicago where he was not only a high profile air talent on the station but was also programming assistant to John Gehron. Kent also worked on the air at KLIF in Dallas, WIBG Philadelphia, WGCL and WIXY in Cleveland, WMJX in Miami, WAVA in Washington, DC where he was also the Program Director and WBZZ (B-94) Pittsburgh.
In addition, Kent worked in the music industry as a promotion executive for Elektra Entertainment, which was a division of Time-Warner's Warner Music Group. While an executive at Elektra, Kent received many awards including "Promotion Rookie of the Year" and "Promotion Executive of the Year" both separate and individual awards in different years. He helped break and bring to the national music spotlight national music recording super star artists Tracy Chapman, Third Eye Blind, Keith Sweat, Moby, Natalie Merchant, Simply Red, Missy Elliott, Gerald Levert, Metallica, Yolanda Adams, and En Vogue.

John Adams (October 30, 1735 (O.S. October 19, 1735) – July 4, 1826) was an American Founding Father, and the second President of the United States (1797–1801). He was also a lawyer, statesman, diplomat, political theorist, and a leading champion of independence in 1776. Hailing from New England, Adams, a prominent lawyer and public figure in Boston, was highly educated and represented Enlightenment values promoting republicanism. A Federalist, he was highly influential and one of the key Founding Fathers of the United States.
Adams came to prominence in the early stages of the American Revolution. As a delegate from Massachusetts to the Continental Congress, he played a leading role in persuading Congress to declare independence and assisted Thomas Jefferson in drafting the Declaration of Independence. As a diplomat in Europe, he was a major negotiator of the eventual peace treaty with Great Britain, and chiefly responsible for obtaining important loans from Amsterdam bankers. A political theorist and historian, Adams largely wrote the Massachusetts Constitution in 1780 which soon after ended slavery in Massachusetts, but was in Europe when the federal Constitution was drafted on similar principles later in the decade. One of his greatest roles was as a judge of character: in 1775, he nominated George Washington to be commander-in-chief, and 25 years later nominated John Marshall to be Chief Justice of the United States.

The State funeral of Thomas Kent, took place in his home village in Cork on Friday, 18th September 2015. He one of 16 men executed following the 1916 Rising,. Kent was executed by firing squad following his conviction for armed rebellion in May 1916. President Michael D Higgins joined members of his family at St Nicholas' Church in Castlelyons. Kent, who had been buried in Cork Prison, was laid to rest alongside his brothers. Taoiseach Enda Kenny delivered the graveside oration Gabriel Doherty, UCC, joins David McCullagh in studio, while John Bowman and Mary Kennedy provide commentary from Castlelyons. -

Kent Kaliber and Vyxsin Fiala know all about packing light. On two seasons of the hit show, they raced around the world with their belongings in a single backpack -- black eyeliner and glitter polish included.
The Goth duo shares five tips for minimizing luggage.
1) Be a space cadet.
Fill empty spaces, such as inside hats and shoes. Vyxsin protects a camera by stuffing it in a sneaker.
2) Multi-task.
The Goths demonstrate how a scarf and handkerchief can be used in many ways: a sarong, a headband, a washcloth.
3) Travel size it.
Vyxsin recommends buying toiletries in mini-size and refilling them. Instead of a bulky flat iron, she brings a tiny version.
4) Avoid panic packing.
Start early. Make lists so you won't forget your passport and mobile charger.
5) Leave non-essentials at home.
Before you put something in your suitcase, consider whether you really need it. Keep out items you can easily get on the road.

Barcelona is a city and metropolis on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian peninsula. It is the capital of Catalonia, being so much as the autonomous region of the province of Barcelona and the region of Barcelonès and the second city in population and economic weight in Spain and Iberian peninsula.

Außerdem überspannen zwei große Mautbrücken die Bucht.
Seit jeher ist Halifax ein bedeutender Hafen, und somit verwundert es nicht, dass hier die größte militärische Einrichtung Kanadas angesiedelt ist, die Basis der Atlantikflotte. Auch die Küstenwache hat hier ihren Hauptsitz.
Im Zentrum der Hafenfront liegen die restaurierten Backsteinhäuser und Lagerhallen, die so genannten Historic Properties, die heute wie die ausgedienten Hafengebäude mit Kneipen, Einkaufspassagen, Museen und Galerien für ein zahlungskräftiges Publikum gestaltet wurden. In den 60er Jahren wurde die Bluenose II in Lunenburg dem Original nachgebaut und ist heute auf der kanadischen 10 Cent Münze verewigt.

Since time immemorial, Halifax is a major port and thus it is not surprising that the largest military installation in Canada, the base of the Atlantic Fleet and the headquarters of the Coast Guard are settled here.
In the center of the harbor front you see the restored brick buildings and warehouses, the so-called Historic Properties. Together with the disused harbor buildings, they serve today as pubs as well as shopping malls, museums and galleries for a solvent customers. The exterior of the whole complex is true to the original. The Historic Properties are a much-visited attraction for tourists. Here one can watch the ships as well as glass blowers at work.
In the shopping arcades, the usual souvenirs are offered to the tourists. Those who seek patiently can find some rarities.
Always present is the emblem of the town, the bell tower set up at the beginning of the 19th century in front of the citadel on behalf of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. It should teach the citizens more punctuality.

Sometimes you can see the sailing ship Bluenose II in the harbor. During World War II sailing ships lost their meaning; the Bluenose at first still served as a cargo ship and sank in 1946 in the West Indies. In the 60s, the Bluenose II was rebuilt to the original in Lunenburg and is now immortalized on the Canadian 10 cent coin.
Weather permitting, you can take a city tour with one of the original amphibious vehicles, the Harbour Hopper.

Last March Kent said that race is not usually mentioned unless it is a “hate crime.” As you know, the media rarely declares black on white crime to be a “hate crime.” Only the extremely rare white on black crimes are ever considered a “hate crime” in the media....
