This game is a direct arcade port and while the AI is cheap and frustrating at times, it is nowhere near as bad as the AI in Mortal Kombat 2. Rage still ensues in this video though.

This is something that fellow MK Kommunity member Drew Adkins has created with the help of other great Kommunity members. Here are ALL the details from Drew himself...
"Here's some gameplay of the first public beta that drops right....now.
Firstly, a HUGE thanks to ZPaul2Fresh8 and SK the Conqueror for helping me learn some debugging stuff, and pointing me in the right direction with some code issues I'd occasionally get.
I tried to hit on all of the high points of the changes made for this first public release. See the list of changes below, and the link for download is at the bottom!
UMK3 Revision 1.3 Public Beta Change Log
This revision focuses mainly on visual fixes but there are additional changes that make sense to the game.
1. GENERAL CHANGES
Win count does not reset in 2 player mode unless machine is reset. Win count only resets when a 2nd player enters game during arcade ladder, game reset, or game over.
Human Smoke and Noob Saibot no longer stage locked. Other hidden characters no longer stage locked (would previously stage lock if MAME cheat is applied to access them).
Stage Rotation updated to no longer force UMK3 stages to cycle twice, moves MK3 stages to front. No longer causes MK3 stage loop between Soul Chamber, Balcony, and The Bridge. Duplicate Bank/Desert removed.
Human Smoke and Noob Saibot selectable on screen - currently using Dragon icons used for hidden characters.
2. AUDIO CHANGES
At the "Midway Presents" Screen, the bell toll sound clip has been changed.
On the character select screen, when another player presses start, the player entry sound clip has changed.
At the "Choose your destiny" screen, the response from Shao Kahn has changed for each. This is to address the lack of change from MK3.
The initial Fatality sound clip has changed - it is now the same as the Vs. screen sound clip, which sounds more like the MK2 fatality sound clip.
Scorpion and Human Smoke's "Get Over/Come Here" sound clip is no longer cut off by blood spatter. This also causes special moves such as Kitana's Fan, Kung Lao's Hat, and Stryker's Riot Gun to no longer have blood spatter noise.
3. VISUAL CHANGES
Blood spatter from normal moves does not dissipate, but does reset between rounds. Blood spatter from special moves does dissipate, but stays on the floor for longer than previous.
Character Select Screen background changed to Red Portal background
Fighers appear lower to "ground" on character select screen
Fighters appear in front of Human Smoke/Noob Saibot select portraits in 1v1 now as well as 2v2, although cursor is still in front.
The Desert stage background layers have moved slightly right. On LCD monitors and MAME the stage sky area cuts off, and in the corner the sand dunes are broken. This corrects this issue. However this will not affect arcade cabinets as the edgres of the screen aren't seen.
4. Character/Palette Updates
--SHAO KAHN--
Now fought on Rooftop stage. Reflects MK9 :)
--MOTARO--
Green Blood restored!
Now fought on The Bridge stage to resemble MK9.
--SEKTOR--
P2 Sektor can now fire dumb missile while homing missile is out.
Sektor now has his own ghost palette during Kabal's Mask removal fatality (previously shared with robot smoke)
--JAX--
Multiple Ground Pound ability removed.
P2 Jax may now charge LK and use dash punch.
--NOOB SAIBOT--
No longer stage locked to Noob's Dorfen. Can now be finished.
--SCORPION--
P2 Vs. screen outfit palette created to match P2 fighter palette in mirror match.
--KITANA--
p2 Vs. Screen outfit palette changed to match P2 fighter palette in mirror match
--JADE--
P1 Vs Screen outfit palette changed. Matches fighter palette for P1. In mirror match original P1 outfit is now P2 outfit as P2 outfit previously did not exist - better matches P2 fighter palette in mirror match.
--ROBO SMOKE--
Babality palette fixed. Now matches fighter palette.
Has sparks during FINISH HIM! That Cyrax and Sektor previously only had.
--HUMAN SMOKE--
Decapitation/Dismemberment palette fixed. Now matches fighter outfit.
--ERMAC--
ERMAC NOW HAS A BABALITY!! - Input Down, Down, Down, Run.
Decapitation/Dismemberment palette fixed. Skin tone now matches fighter.
--ALL MALE NINJAS--
All male ninjas now have their own ghost palette for Kabal's Mask removal fatality. Previously all used Scorpion's ghost palette.
--ALL FEMALE NINJAS--
All female ninjas now have their own ghost palette for Kabal's Mask removal fatality. Previously all used Kitana's ghost palette.
--UNMASKED SUB ZERO--
Shao Kahn now says "FROSTY" after Ice Breath fatality.

**Tutorial In Description**
This is a video showing all of the Fatalities, Animalities, Friendships, and Babalities for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. **NOTE Brutalities were not in the Arcade Version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3**
Babalities and Friendships can only be done by winning the final round without pressing Block.
Animalities can only be done by showing Mercy, to show Mercy each fighter must win a round. On the winning round when it says "Finish Him/Finish Her" stand half screen away and Hold Run, press Down, Down, Release Run.

Una persona me pidio que hiciera un gameplay de UMK3, bueno aca esta el video de estrategias y sus glitches en los endurance bueno disfruten y comenten XD. Y llamen a sus amigos a ver mis videos es solo de mortal kombat solo veran cosas que jamas podran ver en ninguna parte.
Los gameplay son en tiempo real, no uso TAS para esto, porque perderia la escencia del juego. Si les gustó el video compartelo con los demas para que mas jugadores se sumen a este gran juego.

Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat is a video game franchise originally developed by Midway Games' Chicago studio in 1992. Following Midway's bankruptcy, the Mortal Kombat development team was acquired by Warner Bros. and turned into NetherRealm Studios. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment currently owns the rights of the franchise and rebooted it in 2011.
The development of the first game was originally based on an idea that Ed Boon and John Tobias had of making a video game starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, but as that idea fell through, a fantasy-themed fighting game titled Mortal Kombat was created instead. The original game has spawned many sequels and has been spun off into several action-adventure games, films (animated and live-action with its own sequel), and television series (animated and live-action). Other spin-offs include comic book series, a card game and a live-action tour. Along with Capcom's Street Fighter and Bandai Namco's Tekken, Mortal Kombat has become one of the most successful fighting franchises in the history of video games.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (UMK3) is a fighting game in the Mortal Kombat series, originally developed and released by Midway Games to arcades in 1995. It is an update of 1995's earlier Mortal Kombat 3 with an altered gameplay system, additional characters like the returning favorites Kitana and Scorpion who were missing from Mortal Kombat 3, and some new features.
Several home port versions of the game were soon released after the arcade original, although none were completely identical to the arcade version. Some later home versions followed the arcade original with more accuracy. Some versions were released under different titles: Mortal Kombat Advance for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the Nintendo DS in 2007. The iOS version, recreating the game using a 3D graphics engine, was released by Electronic Arts in 2010.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 was mostly well received and has been considered a high point for the Mortal Kombat series. However, the iOS remake and some other home versions were received poorly in comparison to the arcade game.

Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat 3 (MK3) is a fighting game developed by Midway Games and first released into arcades in 1995 as the third game in the Mortal Kombat series. As in the previous games, it has a cast of characters that players choose from and guide through a series of battles against other opponents. The game avoids the tournament storyline of its predecessors, as various warriors instead fight against the returning Shao Kahn, who has resurrected his bride Sindel and started an invasion of Earthrealm.
The third installment of Mortal Kombat retains the blood and gory attacks that defined the series. It introduces new types of the Fatality finishing moves, including Animalities. Other features new to the series were combos, predefined sequences used to perform a series of consecutive attacks. A "Run" button was also added, allowing players to briefly dash toward the opponent, as were "Kombat Kodes", an unlockable content system using various symbols that can be entered before two-player matches to achieve certain effects.

I tried to hit on all of the high points of the changes made for this first public release. See the list of changes below, and the link for download is at the bottom!
UMK3 Revision 1.3 Public Beta Change Log
This revision focuses mainly on visual fixes but there are additional changes that make sense to the game.
1. GENERAL CHANGES
Win count does not reset in 2 player mode unless machine is reset. Win count only resets when a 2nd player enters game during arcade ladder, game reset, or game over.
Human Smoke and Noob Saibot no longer stage locked. Other hidden characters no longer stage locked (would previously stage lock if MAME cheat is applied to access them).
Stage Rotation updated to no longer force UMK3 stages to cycle twice, moves MK3 stages to front. No longer causes MK3 stage loop between Soul Chamber, Balcony, and The Bridge. Duplicate Bank/Desert removed.
Human Smoke and Noob Saibot selectable on screen - currently using Dragon icons used for hidden characters.
2. AUDIO CHANGES
At the "Midway Presents" Screen, the bell toll sound clip has been changed.
On the character select screen, when another player presses start, the player entry sound clip has changed.
At the "Choose your destiny" screen, the response from Shao Kahn has changed for each. This is to address the lack of change from MK3.
The initial Fatality sound clip has changed - it is now the same as the Vs. screen sound clip, which sounds more like the MK2 fatality sound clip.
Scorpion and Human Smoke's "Get Over/Come Here" sound clip is no longer cut off by blood spatter. This also causes special moves such as Kitana's Fan, Kung Lao's Hat, and Stryker's Riot Gun to no longer have blood spatter noise.
3. VISUAL CHANGES
Blood spatter from normal moves does not dissipate, but does reset between rounds. Blood spatter from special moves does dissipate, but stays on the floor for longer than previous.
Character Select Screen background changed to Red Portal background
Fighers appear lower to "ground" on character select screen
Fighters appear in front of Human Smoke/Noob Saibot select portraits in 1v1 now as well as 2v2, although cursor is still in front.
The Desert stage background layers have moved slightly right. On LCD monitors and MAME the stage sky area cuts off, and in the corner the sand dunes are broken. This corrects this issue. However this will not affect arcade cabinets as the edgres of the screen aren't seen.
4. Character/Palette Updates

Now fought on Rooftop stage. Reflects MK9 :)
--MOTARO--
Green Blood restored!
Now fought on The Bridge stage to resemble MK9.
--SEKTOR--
P2 Sektor can now fire dumb missile while homing missile is out.
Sektor now has his own ghost palette during Kabal's Mask removal fatality (previously shared with robot smoke)
--JAX--
Multiple Ground Pound ability removed.
P2 Jax may now charge LK and use dash punch.
--NOOB SAIBOT--
No longer stage locked to Noob's Dorfen. Can now be finished.
--SCORPION--
P2 Vs. screen outfit palette created to match P2 fighter palette in mirror match.
--KITANA--
p2 Vs. Screen outfit palette changed to match P2 fighter palette in mirror match
--JADE--
P1 Vs Screen outfit palette changed. Matches fighter palette for P1. In mirror match original P1 outfit is now P2 outfit as P2 outfit previously did not exist - better matches P2 fighter palette in mirror match.
--ROBO SMOKE--
Babality palette fixed. Now matches fighter palette.
Has sparks during FINISH HIM! That Cyrax and Sektor previously only had.

Firstly, a HUGE thanks to ZPaul2Fresh8 and SK the Conqueror for helping me learn some debugging stuff, and pointing me in the right direction with some code issues I'd occasionally get.
I tried to hit on all of the high points of the changes made for this first public release. See the list of changes below, and the link for download is at the bottom!
UMK3 Revision 1.3 Public Beta Change Log
This revision focuses mainly on visual fixes but there are additional changes that make sense to the game.
1. GENERAL CHANGES
Win count does not reset in 2 player mode unless machine is reset. Win count only resets when a 2nd player enters game during arcade ladder, game reset, or game over.
Human Smoke and Noob Saibot no longer stage locked. Other hidden characters no longer stage locked (would previously stage lock if MAME cheat is applied to access them).
Stage Rotation updated to no longer force UMK3 stages to cycle twice, moves MK3 stages to front. No longer causes MK3 stage loop between Soul Chamber, Balcony, and The Bridge. Duplicate Bank/Desert removed.
Human Smoke and Noob Saibot selectable on screen - currently using Dragon icons used for hidden characters.
2. AUDIO CHANGES
At the "Midway Presents" Screen, the bell toll sound clip has been changed.
On the character select screen, when another player presses start, the player entry sound clip has changed.
At the "Choose your destiny" screen, the response from Shao Kahn has changed for each. This is to address the lack of change from MK3.
The initial Fatality sound clip has changed - it is now the same as the Vs. screen sound clip, which sounds more like the MK2 fatality sound clip.
Scorpion and Human Smoke's "Get Over/Come Here" sound clip is no longer cut off by blood spatter. This also causes special moves such as Kitana's Fan, Kung Lao's Hat, and Stryker's Riot Gun to no longer have blood spatter noise.
3. VISUAL CHANGES
Blood spatter from normal moves does not dissipate, but does reset between rounds. Blood spatter from special moves does dissipate, but stays on the floor for longer than previous.
Character Select Screen background changed to Red Portal background
Fighers appear lower to "ground" on character select screen
Fighters appear in front of Human Smoke/Noob Saibot select portraits in 1v1 now as well as 2v2, although cursor is still in front.
The Desert stage background layers have moved slightly right. On LCD monitors and MAME the stage sky area cuts off, and in the corner the sand dunes are broken. This corrects this issue. However this will not affect arcade cabinets as the edgres of the screen aren't seen.
4. Character/Palette Updates
--SHAO KAHN--
Now fought on Rooftop stage. Reflects MK9 :)
--MOTARO--
Green Blood restored!
Now fought on The Bridge stage to resemble MK9.
--SEKTOR--
P2 Sektor can now fire dumb missile while homing missile is out.
Sektor now has his own ghost palette during Kabal's Mask removal fatality (previously shared with robot smoke)
--JAX--
Multiple Ground Pound ability removed.
P2 Jax may now charge LK and use dash punch.
--NOOB SAIBOT--
No longer stage locked to Noob's Dorfen. Can now be finished.
--SCORPION--
P2 Vs. screen outfit palette created to match P2 fighter palette in mirror match.
--KITANA--
p2 Vs. Screen outfit palette changed to match P2 fighter palette in mirror match
--JADE--
P1 Vs Screen outfit palette changed. Matches fighter palette for P1. In mirror match original P1 outfit is now P2 outfit as P2 outfit previously did not exist - better matches P2 fighter palette in mirror match.
--ROBO SMOKE--
Babality palette fixed. Now matches fighter palette.
Has sparks during FINISH HIM! That Cyrax and Sektor previously only had.
--HUMAN SMOKE--
Decapitation/Dismemberment palette fixed. Now matches fighter outfit.
--ERMAC--
ERMAC NOW HAS A BABALITY!! - Input Down, Down, Down, Run.
Decapitation/Dismemberment palette fixed. Skin tone now matches fighter.
--ALL MALE NINJAS--
All male ninjas now have their own ghost palette for Kabal's Mask removal fatality. Previously all used Scorpion's ghost palette.
--ALL FEMALE NINJAS--
All female ninjas now have their own ghost palette for Kabal's Mask removal fatality. Previously all used Kitana's ghost palette.
--UNMASKED SUB ZERO--
Shao Kahn now says "FROSTY" after Ice Breath fatality.

This is a video showing all of the Fatalities, Animalities, Friendships, and Babalities for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. **NOTE Brutalities were not in the Arcade Version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3**
Babalities and Friendships can only be done by winning the final round without pressing Block.
Animalities can only be done by showing Mercy, to show Mercy each fighter must win a round. On the winning round when it says "Finish Him/Finish Her" stand half screen away and Hold Run, press Down, Down, Release Run.
