Ordu
Ordu (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈoɾdu]) is a port city on the Black Sea coast of Turkey, historically also known as Cotyora, and the capital of Ordu Province with a population of 195,817 in the city center. The city is world's largest hazelnut producer. While, hazelnut is the main source of economy, the city has small-sized industries and rapidly growing tourism in the recent years.
History
In the 8th century BC, the settlement of Cotyora (also spelled Kotyora) was founded in this area as one of a string of colonies along the Black Sea coast established by the Miletians. Xenophon mentions the town (Anabasis V.5.3f), as does Strabo much later (XII.3.17). Arrian, in his 131 CE guidebook Periplus of the Euxine Sea, describes it as a village "and not a large one."
The area came under the control of the Danishmends, then the Seljuk Turks in 1214 and 1228, and the Hacıemiroğulları Beylik in 1346. Afterwards, it passed to the dominion of the Ottomans in 1461 along with the Empire of Trabzon.
The modern city was founded by the Ottomans as Bayramlı near Eskipazar as a military outpost 5 km (3 mi) west of Ordu.

William Ryan Fritch
William Ryan Fritch (also known under the moniker Vieo Abiungo) is an American musician, composer, and producer, currently residing in Oakland, California. He is a member of Sole and the Skyrider Band and has released several albums under his own name.
Fritch began his musical career in rural Florida. He self-released his first album, Plumed and Desiccated, in 2006; this album featured vocals, which Fritch would henceforth eschew until his 2014 release Leave Me Like You Found Me. After a show in Phoenix, Fritch was contacted by Lost Tribe Sound, a record label which went on to release several of his albums.
Under the alias Vieo Abiungo, he released three albums for Lost Tribe between 2010 and 2012. Also in 2010, he released Music for Honey and Bile for Asthmatic Kitty's Library Catalog series. In 2014, he started a subscription series with Lost Tribe, releasing three full-length albums and several EPs. These included Leave Me Like You Found Me and the Empty EP.
Fritch also plays with composer Jon Mueller in the group Death Blues.

Spend your days wandering through the lively souqs, admiring the old gates and defensive walls, see the Saadian Tombs, the remnants of the El Badi Palace and visit the Koutoubia Mosque with its 12th century minaret. However, when evening falls make sure to head back to Jamaa el-Fnaa, the largest square in Africa, as it fills up with steam-producing food stalls. Indulge in the bustling activity there, listen to Arabic story tellers, watch magicians and Chleuh dancers. Fez, once Morocco's capital, is another gorgeous imperial city. Get lost in its lovely labyrinth of narrow Medieval streets, enjoy its huge medina, see the beautiful city gates, the ancient University of Al-Karaouine and the Bou Inania Madrasa. Also, make sure to visit a traditional leather tanning factory. The city of Meknes is often called the "Versailles of Morocco" for its beauty. Its lovely Spanish-Moorish style centre is surrounded by tall city walls with impressive gates and you'll be able to see the 17th century blend of European and Islamic cultures even today.
For a more laid-back experience of city life, catch a sea breeze at Asilah or lovely Essaouira. The blue-washed town of Chefchaouen is an old time travellers' favourite and a great starting point to explore the impressive High Atlas Mountains. Climb Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North-Africa, passing lovely adobe villages and exploring the gorgeous Ourika and Amizmiz valleys on the way. The stunning panoramic view from the top will make it worth every bit of your effort to get there. Other praised hiking routes lead through the beautiful Ameln Valley in the Anti-Atlas and the wooded Rif Mountains in the very north.
Hop on a camel back for a trip through the golden Sahara sand dunes at Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga. Spend the night in a desert tent, under the incredibly starred sky. The Sahara is also accessible near the town of Zagora; it's easier to get to from Marrakech but doesn't have the imposing dunes of Erg Chebbi. Somewhat less easy to reach but therefor also less crowded are the dunes of Erg Chigaga near M'hamid. On your way to the desert, make sure not to miss the stunning Todra gorge near Tinghir. The ancient fortified city of Aït-Benhaddou is another must-see sight. Although rainstorms damage the mud-brick kasbahs time and again, this mostly abandoned village remains an impressive sight and has been the decor for a range of movies, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

The second option is to visit a "popular" Hammam. Popular hammams are the places where the locals go. Ask the staff at your hotel where they would go.

Ordu'nun sembolü Boztepe''yi şehirden, Boztepe''den de kentin her tarafını seyretmek doyumsuzdur. Ordu Merkezde bulunan Boztepe, Bozukkale (Cotyora), Kurul Kayası Yerleşmesi, Büben Kaya Mezarları, Taşbaşı Kültür Merkezi (Eski Cezaevi - Kilise), Etnografya Müzesi (Paşaoğlu Konağı) tarihi eserlerden bazılarıdır.
İlin eski camileri, çeşmeleri, kaya mezarları ile yüzyıllardan beridir süren yerleşme yeri olması nedeniyle kaleleri, kayalık tepelerde bulunan dehlizleriyle, el sanatları ve sanatçılarıyla kültürel ve turistlik açıdan gerçekten görülmeye değerdir.
Ordu, Türkiye'nin bir ili ve en kalabalık otuzuncu şehri. 2014 itibarıyla 724.268 nüfusa sahiptir. Karadeniz Bölgesinde yer alan ilin kuzeyinde Karadeniz, güneyinde Tokat ve Sivas illeri, batısında Samsun, doğusunda Giresun ili vardır. Büyükşehir statüsünde olan Ordu ili, 19 ilçe ve 481 mahalleden oluşmaktadır. 1920 yılında bağlı olduğu Trabzon'dan ayrılmış, 4 Nisan 1920 tarihinde il statüsüne kavuşmuştur.
Ordu ili MÖ 400 yılından önce şehir merkezinin 5 kilometre dışında olan halk arasında Bozukkale olarak bilinen bölgede Kut Yöresi adıyla kurulmuştur. Kut Türklerinin MÖ 2500-2400 yıllarında Hazar Gölü çevresinde otururken batıya göçen ve Türkçe konuşan bir kavim olduğunu ifade eden tarihçiler, Kut kavminin Türk kökenli olduğunu Sümerolog Benna Landsberger, 1937'de yapılan Tarih Kurultayı'nda Atatürk'ün huzurunda bizzat söylemiştir.
Karadenizli Yazar Özhan Öztürk'e göre ise Kotyora adı bölgenin eski sakinleri olan Kolhislilerden Lazlardan mirastır. Bölgenin eski sakinleri olan Lazların Antik ve Orta Çağ kaynaklarıyla sabit varlığı ve bölgeye Canik ismini ve başka pek çok toponim bırakmaları şehre de Kotyora ismini verdiklerini destekler niteliktedir.
Ayrıca 1831'de ise Fatsa sınırlarından itibaren Ordu, Ulubey, Gölköy yöreleri tamamen Mesudiye ve Aybastı ilçeleri Erzurum eyaletine bağlı Şarkikarahisar livasına, Fatsa'nın iç ve batı kısımlarıyla Ünye, Canik Samsun livasına bağlanmıştır.
İlin kuzeyini Kuzey Anadolu dağlarının kıyı sıraları kaplamaktadır. Kıyılara yakın tepelerle başlayan bu dağlar içeri doğru gittikçe yükselir. Ordu, Giresun ve Sivas ilinin birbirlerine komşu olduğu kesimde 3.000 m yi bulmaktadır. İlin en yüksek tepesi Giresun sınırına yakın olan Aşut Obası'ndaki Gönderiç Tepesi'dir.
Ordu ilinde Karadeniz iklimi görülmektedir. Ancak arkadan geçen dağ yükseltilerinin azalmasıyla kışın soğuk günlerin sayısı bir iki günle sınırlıdır. İlin iç kesimdeki ilçelerine yükseltinin artmasıyla beraber soğuk bu bölgelerde daha şiddetlidir. Kışın iç kesimlerdeki ilçelerde 6 ay boyunca kar yağar. Bunlara Çambaşı yaylası, Beşiktaşı yaylası ve Sarı obası yaylası örnek olarak gösterilir; kar buralarda mayıs ayına kadar erimez.
Boztepe, bir tarafında Ordu manzarası bir tarafında uçsuz bucaksız Karadeniz manzarasına sahip, bir tarafında yemyeşil tepelere hakim ziyaret edenleri büyüleyen bir yerdir. Her yıl binlerce turist ağırlar. Özellikle yaz aylarında insanlar sırf manzarayı görmek için bu tepeye çıkarlar.
Boztepe'de yiyecek içecek gibi ihtiyaçları karşılayacak restoran vs. bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca çam ormanları arasında piknik alanları mevcuttur. Kış aylarında yağan kar Boztepe'ye güzel bir görünüm verir.
Boztepe'de çoğunlukla yamaç paraşütü gibi aktiviteler yapılmaktadır. Yakın tarihte turizm açısından çok önemli yerlere geleneğine inanılıyor.
Ayrıca Boztepe-Ordu arasında yapılmış bir teleferik de bulunmaktadır. Bu sayede Boztepe'ye teleferik ile çıkıp inilebiliyor.
Teleferik 20 Mart 2010 tarihinde bu projenin temeli atılmıştır. 8 Temmuz 2011 yılında hizmete açılmıştır.

Bağımsız Sinema Merkezi (BSM) tarafından hazırlanan belgesel, tarihin ilk sosyalist devleti Sovyetler Birliği'nin nasıl doğduğunu genel hatlarıyla anlatırken odağına bu devrimin en önde gelen mimarı Lenin'i yerleştiriyor. İzleyiciler, Lenin'in çocukluğundan itibaren tanık olduğu, analiz ettiği ve müdahalede bulunduğu olaylar üzerinden 19. Yüzyıl Rusya'sının küçük bir balıkçı kasabasına, Rus göçmenler ve sürgünlerin siyasi mücadeleyi zor koşullar altında sürdürdüğü çeşitli Avrupa kentlerine yolculuk ediyor.
Devrimin ateşlendiği Petersburg ve Moskova sokaklarına, en sert tartışmaların ve ayrışmaların yaşandığı kongre salonlarına, 1. Dünya Savaşı'nın kan, açlık ve öfke biriktiren siper çukurlarına, önce Çar'ın sonra burjuva hükümetinin terk etmek zorunda kaldığı Kışlık Saray'a, Karşı Devrimci Beyaz Orduyu yenilgiye uğratan Kızıl Ordu saflarına, Kremlin'e ve Lenin'in yaşamının sona erdiği Gorki Köyü'ne de konuk oluyor.
Ama hepsinden önemlisi, belgesel, özenle seçilmiş görsel malzemenin ve verdikleri röportajlarla çalışmaya önemli ölçüde derinlik katan Metin Çulhaoğlu ve Kemal Okuyan'ın katkılarıyla bir devrimin nasıl gerçekleştiğini ,devrimci partinin ve Lenin'in bu süreçte ne kadar da tayin edici konumda bulunduğunu gösteriyor. Bunu da hem sosyalizmle yeni tanışanları, hem de döneme bir kez daha yakından bakmak isteyen devrimcileri gözeterek yapıyor.
