Plot: Subhashini is a mute daughter of town's biggest landlord. Plot: Bhola, a skilled sculptor resides in a village with his parents, son and younger sister. He is asked to leave the house by his father due to some reason. He meets with an accident on the way and expires. A person called Shankar who resembles Bhola and whose car had killed Bhola accidentally comes to his village and takes his village. Everyone thinks him to be Bhola except his mother. Inspector Manoj, who is in charge of his case and on his trail comes to know from a clue that Shankar is impersonating Bhola, but Shankar denies the fact. Meanwhile Shankar's employer asks him to return the laptop which he was carrying with him when he met with an accident.Shankar helps to recover the documents related to property of the villagers which were with the local zamindar.He comes drunk one day and reveals his actual identity. He saves Bhola's younger sister from getting raped by the zamindar and his nephew. His employer kidnaps Bhola's son and asks him to return the laptop in exchange for the boy. He goes with the laptop (though a different one) and gets the boy back. His employer realizes the fact and there is an encounter whereby the employer gets killed and Shankar gets fatally injured. At the hospital, he is considered to be a hopeless case as the doctors have taken him to be dead when his mother becomes hysterical and starts pounding his chest and he recovers.

Plot: Circa British Raj in India, in a small village, Bansiram has owned and maintained a plot of land donated to him by a kind-hearted Zamindar. The Zamindar passes away, and his lecherous, womanizing, and alcoholic son views this plot, and describes it as heavenly, and wants it at any cost. Bansiram refuses to sell, and the Zamindar's son wants it by hook or by crook. Bansiram appeals to the British for protection, which they provide, and Bansiram is thus able to save his property. Shortly thereafter the Zamindar's son passes away, and his look-alike son, Devraj comes to take-over the estate. Devraj does not consider taking-over Bansiram's land as a priority, and years go by. The Zamindar's soul, unable to complete it's task during this life-time, wonders around in anguish and pain - waiting. When Devraj finally goes to see Bansiram, he finds an elderly semi-senile man, who has a grandson, Chotu, who wants to build a business on the land to sell alcohol, and Devraj decides to take advantage of this situation with unpredictable results.

Plot: Shyampur-based Vaid, the father of assertive Padma, is approached by the local Zamindar, who proposes marriage between Padma and his oppressive son, Vikram, to which he agrees. Plot: Based in Vikrampur village, Dhuri lives an impoverished lifestyle along with his wife, Razia, and a sister, Champa. He is a farmer, owns a small piece of land and two oxen, Heera and Moti. He hopes to get Champa married to a fellow farmer by the name of Pashupati. He lends his oxen to Roopnandan who enters them in a race and they win much to the chagrin of the Zamindar who sends his agent, Bansilal Mehta with Rs.100/- to acquire the oxen. When Razia refuses to sell, an enraged Zamindar sets the entire community against Dhuri and his family - blacklisting as well as pitting Pashupati against him. When Dhuri approaches the Panchayat - he will soon learn that the 'Parmeshwar' is missing from the 'Panch' as it is being controlled and manipulated by the Zamindar; his oxen will not only go missing but he will have his land taken away - leaving him with no option but to re-locate elsewhere.
