What is it?
Frostbite is a medical condition in which damage is caused to skin and other tissues due to freezing. It's caused by reduced blood flow when the body is exposed to cold temperatures for long periods of time. This lack of blood leads to the eventual freezing and death of skin tissue in the affected areas, causing a morbid texture of the skin.
Where is it located?
Frostbite occurs in areas of extreme cold, as seen in the movies. The groups of people who are at greatest risk for frostbite are the elderly who live without adequate heating, food, and shelter as well as people who spend a great deal of time outdoors, such as hikers, hunters, and the homeless.
How will it kill you?
Deep, severe frostbite occurs when the muscles, tendons, blood vessels, and nerves all freeze. Use of the area can be permanently lost. These areas result in purple blisters that turn black and are filled with blood. The affected parts of the body will then either be infected with gangrene or will eventually fall off. Death occurs when the frostbitten areas are left untreated.
How to survive?
Frostbite prevention is the most important part of staying safe. Frostbitten areas must be warmed up immediately in order to allow the affected body parts to thaw. Movement of these areas should also be prevented through the use of splints or wraps found in resource packs. For this reason, rubbing, massaging, or other ways of applying physical force in an attempt to rewarm should be avoided as this can only be harmful. Necrotic tissue from severe or gangrenous cases must be removed through amputation.

Kate Upton worked a six-day photo shoot in Antarctica which appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in February 2013. She said that she began to lose hearing and eyesight because her body was shutting down from working so hard to keep her warm.

Frostbite (congelatio in medical terminology) is the medical condition where localized damage is caused to skin and other tissues due to extreme cold. Frostbite is most likely to happen in body parts farthest from the heart and those with large exposed areas. The initial stages of frostbite are sometimes called "frost nip".
There are several classifications for tissue damage caused by extreme cold including:
At or below 0 °C (32 °F), blood vessels close to the skin start to constrict, and blood is shunted away from the extremities via the action of glomus bodies. The same response may also be a result of exposure to high winds. This constriction helps to preserve core body temperature. In extreme cold, or when the body is exposed to cold for long periods, this protective strategy can reduce blood flow in some areas of the body to dangerously low levels. This lack of blood leads to the eventual freezing and death of skin tissue in the affected areas. There are four degrees of frostbite. Each of these degrees has varying degrees of pain.

An Australian woman recently posted gruesome photos of her frostbitten hands to Imgur, under the name TheBassistsMuse. The woman, who has not shared her real name, said she was drunk one night in Saskatchewan, Canada, when she lost her friends. What is it?
Frostbite is a medical condition in which damage is caused to skin and other tissues due to freezing. It's caused by reduced blood flow when the body is exposed to cold temperatures for long periods of time. This lack of blood leads to the eventual freezing and death of skin tissue in the affected areas, causing a morbid texture of the skin.
Where is it located?
Frostbite occurs in areas of extreme cold, as seen in the movies. The groups of people who are at greatest risk for frostbite are the elderly who live without adequate heating, food, and shelter as well as people who spend a great deal of time outdoors, such as hikers, hunters, and the homeless.
How will it kill you?
Deep, severe frostbite occurs when the muscles, tendons, blood vessels, and nerves all freeze. Use of the area can be permanently lost. These areas result in purple blisters that turn black and are filled with blood. The affected parts of the body will then either be infected with gangrene or will eventually fall off. Death occurs when the frostbitten areas are left untreated.
How to survive?
Frostbite prevention is the most important part of staying safe. Frostbitten areas must be warmed up immediately in order to allow the affected body parts to thaw. Movement of these areas should also be prevented through the use of splints or wraps found in resource packs. For this reason, rubbing, massaging, or other ways of applying physical force in an attempt to rewarm should be avoided as this can only be harmful. Necrotic tissue from severe or gangrenous cases must be removed through amputation.

What is it?
Frostbite is a medical condition in which damage is caused to skin and other tissues due to freezing. It's caused by reduced blood flow when the body is exposed to cold temperatures for long periods of time. This lack of blood leads to the eventual freezing and death of skin tissue in the affected areas, causing a morbid texture of the skin.
Where is it located?
Frostbite occurs in areas of extreme cold, as seen in the movies. The groups of people who are at greatest risk for frostbite are the elderly who live without adequate heating, food, and shelter as well as people who spend a great deal of time outdoors, such as hikers, hunters, and the homeless.
How will it kill you?
Deep, severe frostbite occurs when the muscles, tendons, blood vessels, and nerves all freeze. Use of the area can be permanently lost. These areas result in purple blisters that turn black and are filled with blood. The affected parts of the body will then either be infected with gangrene or will eventually fall off. Death occurs when the frostbitten areas are left untreated.
How to survive?
Frostbite prevention is the most important part of staying safe. Frostbitten areas must be warmed up immediately in order to allow the affected body parts to thaw. Movement of these areas should also be prevented through the use of splints or wraps found in resource packs. For this reason, rubbing, massaging, or other ways of applying physical force in an attempt to rewarm should be avoided as this can only be harmful. Necrotic tissue from severe or gangrenous cases must be removed through amputation.
So which famous supermodel suffered from frostbite during a shoot in Antarctica?
Kate Upton worked a six-day photo shoot in Antarctica which appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in February 2013. She said that she began to lose hearing and eyesight because her body was shutting down from working so hard to keep her warm.

An Australian woman recently posted gruesome photos of her frostbitten hands to Imgur, under the name TheBassistsMuse.
The woman, who has not shared her real name, said she was drunk one night in Saskatchewan, Canada, when she lost her friends.
"I was blackout drunk by midnight, with no phone, no money and no idea where I was and I couldn't find my way home," the woman wrote in her post.
Someone reportedly found her sleeping outside around 5:45 a.m.
Around 6:30 a.m., a nurse told her there was a possibility she might lose her hands.
"High off my t*** on morphine, still pretty drunk and alone in another country getting that nice little tidbit of information was pretty f****** terrifying," the woman wrote.
Pictures she took hours after falling asleep in the snow show her swollen, discolored fingers.
The doctor reportedly had to cut her fingers with a scalpel to remove all the puss.
"Dr. F said I'll probably keep all of my fingers," she wrote. "The only ones to worry about is my left pinky and right and middle fingertip. I won't find out until June."

Anytime you suspect frostbite, you really want to act quickly. You want to get that person safely out of danger. Get them out of the cold into a warm indoor environment. You want to wrap them up in warm blankets. You want to keep them warm. You want to put the affected body part in warm water. Water that is warmer than body temperature. Not hot, but warmer than body temperature. You want to submerge the limb into the water and you want to continually keep it warm. Once, as the water cools, just pour more warm water in there. Never pour water directly onto the affected limb. That could hurt it some more. If you're in a situation where you can't warm up completely, where you're afraid of the body part being frozen again, don't defrost it. Don't thaw it and then only have it to be refrozen. That causes worse damage. Call for help. Get someone there right away. If you're in a place where help's going to take a long time getting there, or you can't be in a warm place or you don't have warm water available, you can always put the affected limb in your armpit or in your crotch. Warm areas really, heat radiates from those places because they are your core temperature and you can help your friend or help yourself keep that limb warm. And finally, you don't want to rub or massage the frostbitten area. That could cause more damage. And you don't want to reheat the frostbitten area with dry heat like, a stove, or a fire or even a heating blanket. Because the person can't tell the heat and you could cause further damage. You could burn an already frostbitten area and you don't want to do that. Warm water is the best. Keep it nice and warm. It will slowly warm up. And get help.

Feel like it ends a bit abruptly? I was originally going to have the series last longer, but due to the road bump that this series experienced a month ago, I won't have the time. I am going to upgrade my PC, and it involves getting faster hard drives, which means I can't keep my Skyrim files. Even if I wanted to transfer them to my new hard drive, some files would be left out somewhere, and it would refuse to work. Skyrim is also difficult to work with at times. Marthar will refuse to sit in his correct seat, Swipe will have issues standing still unless I disable the global AI, and Frostbite couldn't get a custom voice in combat due to issues with the Creation Kit. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed! :)

Plants vs. Zombies 2, has officially received the FROSTBITE update and along with it, it brings 30 new levels.
Each one of them is designed with the beach as its basic scenario; but there are enough new elements in it to keep you asking for more and to enjoy the game like never before. The level design has been well done so that it goes in line with the usual garden defense style. However, being set in a beach gives a whole new appeal to the title and the game not only adds fresh maps, but the difficulty settings have been tweaked as well.
New Zombies and Plants
Apart from the sixteen new levels, they have introduced a bunch of four new plants to play with. Each one of them has a new set of weapons and shooters that makes it easier for you to defend your beach against zombies. At the same time, ample difficulty is added because the game now has six new zombies. It does sound unfair to introduce more zombies than plants, because it makes it difficult for you to survive. Yet, with the right skills and strategic placement of your plants you will surely be able to win each level but with some difficulty.
Bikini Zombie
The funniest and the interesting addition of them all is the bikini zombie. While a zombie is never going to look hot with its skeletons and gross appearance, Plants vs. Zombies 2, does know how to poke fun at their own characters. They have done a great job of keeping the fun element alive in the new additional levels which will keep you gaming for more hours than necessary and will easily addict you to the beaches.
Another interesting piece of change is the game’s ability to change its shape and overall game play difficulty based on the high as well as the low tide. You have to be really careful and watch out for these tides as they decide whether you win or lose the game, if you are not too careful. There’s an additional mini game named the Bowling Bulb which will provide you additional hours of fun and given all these combined together, the Big Wave Beach update is a worthy one to take note of. Make sure you download it and give it a try. If you love Plants vs. Zombies, you are sure to enjoy these new levels indefinitely.
