Als Surinaams merk heeft Fernandes de No Spang mentaliteit in zijn DNA. No Spang gaat niet alleen over stress, maar ook over het genieten van het moment. Als je in het nu leeft, gebeuren er mooie dingen, en Fernandes weet dat allang. Als fans van het nieuwe album van Kenny B vroeg Fernandes hem om de No Spang mentaliteit te helpen delen met Nederland.
De komende maanden trekt Fernandes met de artiesten met Surinaamse roots Stepherd en Skinto, het land in met de campagne #NoSpang. Stepherd en Skinto brengen jongeren in een aantal afleveringen, die via Youtube te volgen zijn, op humoristische en inspirerende wijze bij wat het betekent om écht relaxed te leven. Zo proberen ze jongeren in Nederland te laten zien wat de bekende Surinaamse uitspraak ‘No Spang’ daadwerkelijk betekent. De eerste aflevering van de Fernandes #NoSpang tour is nu te zien op YouTube.
Kenny B tourt inmiddels al enkele maanden met zijn nieuwe hitalbum. Hij trad op tijdens alle Groots Met Een Zachte G concerten van en met Guus Meeuwis, speelde op Concert at Sea, Mundial, Kwaku. Spang is a village in Germany, north of Trier between Bitburg and Wittich. This village was first mentioned in 1254. It is on one side of the Spanger brook while on the other side is the village of Dahlem. These two villages eventually became a single municipality Spangdahlem as they are known today. The locals still refer themselves to being from Spang or Dalhem. After World War II the USAF located a currently operating fighter airbase in the area of Spangdalhem.
Many of the Spang families in the USA, Germany and South America have traced their roots to this area. Generally speaking most people used their first names for identification as surnames where not important for identification. In Germany when someone left their village or city they were known as "name" von (from) village i.e. Joseph von Spang was Joseph from the village of Spang. Over time the von was dropped and the person was now known as Joseph Spang and Spang became their surname. Earliest recorded von Spang was Nicholaus von Spang who married Elizabeth Bernardos (Sic) 18 Jan 1581 in St Gangolf Catholic church in Trier, Germany.

Kenny B brengt vandaag een nieuwe track en video uit. Speciaal voor de #NoSpang campagne van frisdrankmerk Fernandes schreef de zanger een stressvrij anthem. Met de titel #NoSpang (Sranan voor ‘maak je niet druk’) roept Kenny B iedereen op wat meer van het leven te genieten. Kenny B: “Het is fijn om mensen te inspireren om je soms iets minder druk te maken en iets meer te genieten van het leven”. Kenny B - #NoSpang is per direct te horen op iTunes en de streaming kanalen. De videoclip door Florian Vermeulen (‘Parijs’ en ‘Als Je Gaat’) is nu te zien op het Top Notch Youtube kanaal.
Als Surinaams merk heeft Fernandes de No Spang mentaliteit in zijn DNA. No Spang gaat niet alleen over stress, maar ook over het genieten van het moment. Als je in het nu leeft, gebeuren er mooie dingen, en Fernandes weet dat allang. Als fans van het nieuwe album van Kenny B vroeg Fernandes hem om de No Spang mentaliteit te helpen delen met Nederland.
De komende maanden trekt Fernandes met de artiesten met Surinaamse roots Stepherd en Skinto, het land in met de campagne #NoSpang. Stepherd en Skinto brengen jongeren in een aantal afleveringen, die via Youtube te volgen zijn, op humoristische en inspirerende wijze bij wat het betekent om écht relaxed te leven. Zo proberen ze jongeren in Nederland te laten zien wat de bekende Surinaamse uitspraak ‘No Spang’ daadwerkelijk betekent. De eerste aflevering van de Fernandes #NoSpang tour is nu te zien op YouTube.
Kenny B tourt inmiddels al enkele maanden met zijn nieuwe hitalbum. Hij trad op tijdens alle Groots Met Een Zachte G concerten van en met Guus Meeuwis, speelde op Concert at Sea, Mundial, Kwaku.
