Meroë (/ˈmɛroʊeɪ/; also spelled Meroe;[1][2] Meroitic: Medewi or Bedewi; Arabic: مرواه Meruwah and مروى Meruwi; Ancient Greek: Μερόη, Meróē) is an ancient city on the east bank of the Nile about 6 km north-east of the Kabushiya station near Shendi, Sudan, approximately 200 km north-east of Khartoum. Near the site are a group of villages called Bagrawiyah. This city was the capital of the Kingdom of Kush for several centuries. The Kushitic Kingdom of Meroë gave its name to the Island of Meroë, which was the modern region of Butana, a region bounded by the Nile (from the Atbarah River to Khartoum), the Atbarah and the Blue Nile.

يُجري الذراع المسلح لحركة تحرير الأورومو، تدريبات عسكرية مكثفة منذ منتصف العام الجاري، استعدادا لمواجهات عسكرية مع الجيش الإثيوبي، عقب فشل المطالبات السلمية بتوقف السلطات عن مصادرة أراضى الأقلية العريقة ومواجهة مطالبهم بالرصاص الحى مخلفة 75 قتيلا.
وبدأت التظاهرات في 12 نوفمبر الماضي، في بلدة " جينكي" الصغيرة، التي تقع على مسافة 80 كيلومترا جنوب غرب العاصمة أديس أبابا، حين خرج طلاب ينتمون لقومية "الأورومو" ضد إخلاء أراض ومصادرتها لصالح تنفيذ مشاريع حكومية، قبل أن تنتقل تلك التظاهرات إلى مناطق أخرى، تخص تلك القومية، التي يعتنق أغلب أبنائها الدين الإسلامي، وتبين أن الخطة الحكومية تستهدف إخلاء قرابة مليوني مزارع.
الجدير بالذكر أن تقريراً لـ«منظمة العفو الدولية» كان قد حذر في أكتوبر 2014، من أن السلطات الإثيوبية «تستهدف بلا رحمة وتمارس التعذيب قومية الأورومو»، مشيرا إلى أن أبناء الأورومو «يتعرضون باستمرار لعمليات توقيف تعسفية، واعتقالات طويلة دون محاكمة، ويختفون، ويتعرضون للتعذيب بشكل متكرر، وإعدامات خارج نطاق القضاء».
ويقول خبراء الشأن الإثيوبي أن شعب «الأورومو» من أفقر الطوائف العرقية في إثيوبيا، وإن السلطات تضطهد هذه القومية بشكل فادح، وتحرم أبناءها من الثروة والوظائف العليا والقيادية في الجيش، على الرغم من أن أراضي العاصمة الإثيوبية، أديس أبابا، تخص شعب الأورومو.
ولجأت القومية إلى تأسيس جناح مسلح لصد الانتهاكات التي تمارس ضد الأطفال والشباب والنساء والشيوخ، بشكل ممنهج ومتعمد واسترداد أراضى شعبها بالقوة العسكرية.

Napata was a city-state of ancient Nubia on the west bank of the Nile River, at the site of modern Karima, Northern Sudan.
During the 8th to 7th centuries BC, Napata was the capital of the Nubian kingdom of Kush, whence the 25th, or Nubian Dynasty conquered Egypt. The rule of the 25th dynasty is also known as the "Napatan period" of Egypt.
Napata was founded by Thutmose III in the 15th century BC after his conquest of Nubia. The nearby Jebel Barkal was taken to mark the southern border of the New Kingdom.
In 1075 BC, the High Priest of Amun at Thebes, capital of Egypt, became powerful enough to limit the power of the pharaoh over Upper Egypt. This was the beginning of the Third Intermediate Period (1075 BC-664 BC). The fragmentation of power in Egypt allowed the Nubians to regain autonomy. They founded a new kingdom, Kush, and centered it at Napata.

Mohan Babu (born Manchu Bakthavatsalam Naidu) is an actor and producer in Telugu Cinema. He is also an educationist and a former Member of Parliament – Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh. He received the Padma Shri in 2007.
Mohan was born on 19 March 1952 at Modhugulapalem village near the banks of the river Swarnamukhi, and sandwiched between two famous pilgrim centers, Tirupati (abode of Lord Venkateshwara) and Srikalahasti (abode of Lord Vayulingeswara) in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. He has three younger brothers – Ranganath Chowdary, Ramachandra Chowdary and Krishna – and a sister Vijaya. He had his schooling at Yerpedu village and Tirupati. He took his degree in Physical Education in Chennai. He worked as a physical education instructor for a brief while, before making his debut as an actor in the Telugu film industry. Mohan Babu also worked in the film direction department for about half a decade in the early 1970s. He was a class mate of Rajinikanth while they studied at the Madras Film Institute.

يُجري الذراع المسلح لحركة تحرير الأورومو، تدريبات عسكرية مكثفة منذ منتصف العام الجاري، استعدادا لمواجهات عسكرية مع الجيش الإثيوبي، عقب فشل المطالبات السلمية بتوقف السلطات عن مصادرة أراضى الأقلية العريقة ومواجهة مطالبهم بالرصاص الحى مخلفة 75 قتيلا.
وبدأت التظاهرات في 12 نوفمبر الماضي، في بلدة " جينكي" الصغيرة، التي تقع على مسافة 80 كيلومترا جنوب غرب العاصمة أديس أبابا، حين خرج طلاب ينتمون لقومية "الأورومو" ضد إخلاء أراض ومصادرتها لصالح تنفيذ مشاريع حكومية، قبل أن تنتقل تلك التظاهرات إلى مناطق أخرى، تخص تلك القومية، التي يعتنق أغلب أبنائها الدين الإسلامي، وتبين أن الخطة الحكومية تستهدف إخلاء قرابة مليوني مزارع.
الجدير بالذكر أن تقريراً لـ«منظمة العفو الدولية» كان قد حذر في أكتوبر 2014، من أن السلطات الإثيوبية «تستهدف بلا رحمة وتمارس التعذيب قومية الأورومو»، مشيرا إلى أن أبناء الأورومو «يتعرضون باستمرار لعمليات توقيف تعسفية، واعتقالات طويلة دون محاكمة، ويختفون، ويتعرضون للتعذيب بشكل متكرر، وإعدامات خارج نطاق القضاء».
ويقول خبراء الشأن الإثيوبي أن شعب «الأورومو» من أفقر الطوائف العرقية في إثيوبيا، وإن السلطات تضطهد هذه القومية بشكل فادح، وتحرم أبناءها من الثروة والوظائف العليا والقيادية في الجيش، على الرغم من أن أراضي العاصمة الإثيوبية، أديس أبابا، تخص شعب الأورومو.

In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

RAMESSES I : he was , the commander of royal archers. He held many weighty offices in army, he was later vizier and confidant of Horemheb, appointed by him as heir to the throne. As a vizier he ordered to build for himself a tomb at Gourab. After he had been designated heir to the throne he built for himself a KV16 tomb in the Kings' Valley. The king's mummy was found in Deir el-Bahari, his mummy is now in Luxor museum and his sarcophagus in Cairo Museum. Ramesses I ruled one year and 4 months, as co-regent with his son and successor, Seti I
SETI I : Son of Ramesses I. After coming to the rule he was forced to undertake series of war campaigns to Asia and Libya. He made wars with Hittites, conquered the land of Amurru and city of Kadesh. In his 8th regnal year he made war expedition to the land of Jam in Sudan. History records of his warlike deeds add splendor to walls of many Egyptian temples. He erected magnificent temple at Abydos and a number of building structures all over Egypt, among others great hypostyle of the temple of Karnak, mortuary temples in Western Thebes and Memphis. He erected temple of Amun at Napata in Nubia, as well as in other cities. Many temples, destructed during Amarna period, were restored and covered with new reliefs and polychrome. He started building new capital of Ramessides in the Delta. Burial place of the ruler became the finely decorated tomb KV17 in the Kings' Valley. The king's mummy was found in the Deir el-Bahari.
RAMESSES II :Son of Seti I by queen Tui. He had 7 legal, royal wives and 200 concubines. Historical sources record that he had 96 sons and 60 daughters. Ramesses II was regarded one of the mightiests (if not the one mightiest) Egyptian pharaohs. Certainly he is the best known ruler of ancient Egypt and a symbol of this land. Three facts went into the making thereof: tremendous building activity, traces of which can be found all over Egypt; active internal policy and presence of military force keeping strong position of Egyptian Empire as well as immensely long rule, comprising 67 years. He was crowned the king after his father's death in June 1279 BC. In his 4th regnal year he made first military campaign into Syria which resulted in relieving of the principality of Amurru ruled by Betneshina. The next year took place battle at Kadesh by Orontes. The course of this most famous in Egyptian history battle is recorded in wall presentations of temples at Abydos, Thebes and Abu Simbel, also in papyri and is called Poem of Pentewere. Egyptian sources present the battle as a great triumph of Egyptian army and pharaoh Ramesses II in person, Hittite sources - in contrary. The fact that in consequence the land of Amurru had been annexed to Hittites' influence zone allows us to conclude that closer to the truth are Hittite sources which record failure (if not complete defeat) of Egyptian army. Next over a dozen-or-so years Ramesses was making numerous war campaigns into Syria-Palestine, consolidating his own influence zone. Treaty made in 1258 with Hittites warranted in writing non-aggression and mutual relieving of political refugees. This is an oldest known historical document made between two foreign countries. In 1245 and 1240 BC to the royal harem arrived two Hittite princesses thus consolidating the peace with the land of Hatti. There are known to us expeditions to land of Jam in Sudan in year 21 of Ramesses reign and to Nubia in year 44, under command of Setau, the viceroy of Kush. Ramesses II reinforced fortresses in the Western Delta which protected from the "sea people" attacks and Libyan tribes. Building activity of the king exceeds that of any other pharaoh and counting out at least part of buildings erected or restored in his times seems to be impossible. There is no city in Egypt where the ruler would not have left traces of his building activities. Temples in Western Thebes (Ramesseum) and Abu Simbel are masterpieces of ancient Egyptian architecture.
MERNEPTAH (or Meremptah):The thirteenth son of Ramesses II, his mother was queen Isetnofret I. The most significant event during Merenptah's rule was repulse of Libyans. Building activity of Merenptah focused mainly in Western Thebes and Memphis.

Verkannte Schönheit - Sierra Leone
Reist man nach Westafrika, dann kann ein Land wie Sierra Leone zu einem wunderbaren Reiseziel werden. An der Atlantikküste gelegen, kann der Urlauber hier schöne Badefreuden, u. a. auf Turtle Island erwarten, aber es können auch Städte mit dem besonderen afrikanischen Flair wie die Hauptstadt des Landes Freetown sowie Kenema, Makeni und Bo besucht werden.
Die Küste von Sierra Leone - wunderbare Sandstrände und unbeschreibliche Badefreuden auf Turtle Island
Besieht man sich die afrikanischen Küstenregionen, dann kann man hier die bezauberndsten Sandstrände besuchen. So kann der Urlauber hier dem Wassersport frönen, und ob man nun nur schwimmen möchte oder doch mal beim Tauchen die Unterwasserwelt vor der Küste erkunden will, im Atlantik kann jeder Urlauber unvergessliche Stunden verbringen. Nun wird eine Fahrt mit dem Segelboot vor dieser Küste zum wunderbaren Erlebnis, wenn man sich einfach vom Wind treiben lässt und die Naturschönheiten der Küstenregion von Sierra Leone betrachten kann.

Ebenfalls vor den Küsten von Freetown findet der Urlauber neben Turtle Island auch die schönen Banana Islands und hier freut sich der Wassersportler über die besten Möglichkeiten, um Schnorcheln und Tauchen zu gehen, wobei man beim Tauchen exotische Unterwasserwelten von einmaliger Schönheit entdecken kann.
Der Bintumani - eine sportliche Sehenswürdigkeit
Hat man die schönsten Tage an den Stränden der Turtle Island in der Nähe von Freetown verbracht, dann sollte man von Freetown aus zu den Loma Mountains reisen, denn hier kann die Besteigung des Bintunami, des höchstens Bergs des Landes zum tollen Erlebnis werden. Ein überwältigender Panoramablick kann als Belohnung für die Mühen der Besteigung entschädigen und kann man noch die schönsten Landschaftsbilder von Sierra Leone machen.
Zurück in Freetown sollte man erst einmal die schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten dieser Stadt erkunden und hier kann der Cotton Tree zum tollen Motiv für ein Urlaubsfoto werden. Auch das Sierra Leone National Museum oder der Oberste Gerichtshof laden zu einem Besuch ein. Natürlich sind auch die Kirchen der Stadt beliebte Sehenswürdigkeiten und wer Freetown besucht, der sollte auch mal zum Hafen gehen, wo afrikanische Geschäftigkeit auf den Urlauber wartet.

Natürlich hat der Urlauber schon auf Turtle Island die außergewöhnliche Natur in Sierra Leone gesehen, aber auch außerhalb der Küstenregion kann dieses Land mit Naturschönheit aufwarten. So kann man schon in den Hügeln vor Freetown das Aufzugs- und Schutzgebiet für Schimpansen Tacugama besichtigen, aber auch der Outamba Kilimi Nationalpark ist sehenswert, denn hier leben die letzten Zwergflusspferde dieser Erde.
Immer wieder kann der Urlauber jetzt die typische Küche dieses westafrikanischen Landes probieren, wobei man stets auch Reis zum Essen erhalten wird und viele Urlauber schätzen hier besonders so manche Kaffee Rarität, die Kaffeekenner in aller Welt als Exporte aus Sierra Leone so lieben.
