Faakhir Mehmood (Urdu: فاخر محمود) is a Pakistani singer and music composer. He started out his career in a Pakistani musical group called Awaz. However to conflicts of interest the band split and they all went to become solo artists. The band Awaz also consisted of well known musician Haroon.
Faakhir has produced three albums as prior to 2006. His 2000 debut album, Aatish, was a big hit. His song in the album called Dil Na Lagey was the number one song for many weeks and was the best national song of the year 2000.
His latest album is Mantra. On that album there is a song called Jiya Na Jaye, in which Faakhir shares a duet with Indian singer Sunidhi Chauhan. Another song in that album called Mahi Ve won two awards in the India Sangeet Awards, in which he also performed.
One reason why Faakhir's music is popular is because of its unique use of diverse music and lyrics. He has a lot of Western and European influences in his music. His song Dil Ruba which is a track with Spanish influence and his song Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein were also instant hits. His single Sub To Suniyeh was also a big hit.

Mrityujain Dwivedi would like to arrest him, he holds back and instead encourages Baabarr's rival, Tabrez Alam, to gain more ground and enter into an open conflict with the former. Things escalate to such an extent that Baabarr is forced to flee to his wife, Afreen, in Kolkata, where he is eventually traced and brought before the courts. This is where the Uttar Pradesh police will experience frustration when the court holds Baabarr in judicial custody forbidding the police to even lay a hand on him. With over 200 incidents, virtually no witnesses nor evidence to tie him to any crime, it does look as if Baabaar, who has acquired heroic status and many followers, may eventually be acquitted and free to carry on his reign in Amanganj.

The company has its own laws, its own administration, its own army. It controls the destiny of one fifth of humanity. Mangal Pandey - The Rising is an epic tale of friendship, betrayal, love and sacrifice set against the backdrop of what the British called the sepoy mutiny but which for the Indians was the First War of Independence. 'Company Raj' as it was known, had been plundering the country, treating the locals unjustly and causing widespread resentment. After a hundred years of subjugation, the Indian consciousness is rising through the revolutionary prospect of change and self-rule. During a fierce battle in one of the Afgan wars that the Company fought in the mid-century, Mangal Pandey, the heroic sepoy, saves the life of his British commanding officer William Gordon. Gordon is indebted to Mangal and a strong friendship develops between them, transcending consideration of rank and race. The friendship is soon challenged by the introduction of a new rifle called the Enfield . The new rifle has come with a new cartridge which is rumored to be coated with the grease of cow and pig fat. The new cartridge has to be bitten before it is loaded, which ignites anger and resentment among the Indian sepoys. The cow is sacred to the Hindus, the pig forbidden to the Muslims. They will not touch such a kartoos (gun cartridge), it would defile them. Set in one of the most beautiful countries on earth, told across the divides of time, Mangal Pandey - The Rising tells the tale of friends, lovers and enemies, exploiters and exploited, and the growth and awareness of a man and a nation. It is a story of one man and his dream of freedom. This sweeping epic is based on real historical events, seen as a trigger for Indian independence

Traditional Folk Lyrics by Sabir Zafar Music Directed by Faakhir Mehmood Produced by Strings A traditional Punjabi folk, ‘Dil Kamla’ is a beautifully composed collaboration performed in warm overtones by Natasha Khan, with music director Faakhir Mehmood. A delightfully romantic single, ‘Dil Kamla’ parks itself in the easy-listening category with the simple music arrangement merging seamlessly into the melody. The serene accordion pieces transport you to a familiar warm place as Natasha and Faakhir wander through a myriad of romanticism. Whilst the addition of the classic pop-rock power chord, and guitar riff drives the chorus layered with the choir style harmonies that create a delicate, and intricate soundscape of a track you can’t get enough of. #CokeStudio9

The prime minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago appears drunk on stage thinking she has won the local government elections in the country when in fact she and her government lost. She first taught she got six seats but it turned out to be five. PNM had won the elections with 8 seats to 5 with one seat tied. She sings at first. Seems she had a little too much to drink. Perhaps a few shots of Puncheon, a Trinidad rum. Enjoy!

Dices que no hay motivos
y que siempre me has querido.
Pero veo que te vas,
siento que te he perdio.
Sin echar la vista atras
con la maleta entre tus manos
vas subiendo en ese tren
que te aparta de mi lado.
Y besame una vez más
antes de marcharte,
y cuentame cuanto tiempo necesitare
para olvidarte,
si lo eres todo para mi.
Y cuentame cuanto tiempo necesitare
para olvidarte
si te querré hasta morir
