Diagnostic Tip #1 Check It While It's Working -EricTheCarGuy
It seems so simple.
Plug in your diagnostic tool while your vehicle is working. If your a tech and you have some extra time, do the same thing with as many vehicles as you can. The more you get to know what 'normal' is, the better equipped you'll be the next time you need to diagnose a problem. If nothing else, you'll be more familiar with your scan tool and how it operates. All it will cost you is a bit of time.
