OPENING Black Choir singing star spangled banner. Gotta get the black vote! Anderson Cooper gets straight into the Flint water situation, but his story is inaccurate. Bernie Sanders says he was shocked by what he saw and heard from residents in Flint, in relation to the water crisis. He throws the governor of Michigan under the bus. Says we need to tighten up on infrastructure, not tax breaks for billionaires. Hillary agrees. AUDIENCE QUESTIONS Mikki Wade — she asks how will she trust the government again... to drink the water after they fix the pipes. Killary gives a generic answer. Anderson Cooper asks her for specifics. She repeats herself as does Bernie. Lee-Anne Walters — she asks if they will make a personal promise to move lead lines from all across the country. Bernie says he'll make sure water across the country is tested and replaced if necessary. Hillary commits to a priority to change to the water systems, within 5 years she will remove lead from everywhere - water, soil, and paint. Bryn Mickle — says that Bernie and Hillary have only just recently paid attention to Flint even though they've been downtrodden. Hillary gives out her resume, says she was an activist in Arkansas and in the White House? When she heard about Flint, she perked up. Bernie says he came earlier than people know but he did it quietly. CRIME / GUN CONTROL Anderson Cooper brings up the Über driver in Kalamazoo California. Gene Kopf — he is the father of one of the victims who is a 14 year old girl that was badly injured, not killed. He asks Hillary and Bernie what would they do to stop mass shootings, does not want to hear about background checks or mental health evaluation because that doesn't work. Hillary then goes on to say exactly what he said he did not want to hear. She goes even further to hold gun manufacturers and sellers responsible when someone commits a crime with a gun. Hillary is ignoring the second amendment, at least Bernie respects it. BLACK ISSUES/MASS INCARCERATION Don Lemon — asks her about Bill Clinton doubling the black male prison population. Hillary says Bernie voted for that bill, everyone did because it was necessary because of the overwhelming crime rate that was going on. She says Bill Clinton said at NAACP that the bill was good and bad. As for policing, she says there needs to be body cameras. Don Lemon asks, why should we trust her this time around? She repeats herself about what Bill said. Don asks him about it, he says that the bill had good and bad stuff in it, even though back then, he knew that it would cause a negative impact to the black community in the future. David McGhee — asks Bernie Sanders what experiences he's had to understand the values of other cultures. Brings up his college days when he got arrested. He says he'll provide education and jobs instead of incarceration, which is a lie. Bernie rattles off some early college stories as well. Also says that when you're white, you don't know what it's like to be poor. SUPER PREDATORS Don Lemon — asks Hillary the million dollar question that many thing is racially charged. She says she regrets it, hasn't used it since, but she was talking about drug cartels. Then she turns it into a speech about early childhood education and lead poisoning.
