Penn State Altoona is a commonwealth campus of The Pennsylvania State University. It is located in Logan Township, Pennsylvania, just outside Altoona, although some of its buildings are located in the heart of Altoona's downtown. It is one of four full-fledged four year institutions in the Commonwealth Campus network.
In 1939, a citizen’s committee led by the Altoona Chamber of Commerce Chairman at the time convinced Ralph D. Hetzel, president of the Pennsylvania State College, to support an undergraduate center in Altoona. In July, the citizen’s committee launched a campaign to raise money to renovate an abandoned grade school building to house the new center. More than $5,000 was raised from 8,000 local contributors in two months. The college opened its doors to just 119 freshmen and nine faculty members. Sixty-eight years later, Penn State Altoona numbers keep growing, with more students graduating each spring.
Penn State Altoona offers internships, research programs and study abroad programs along with continuing education and training. Students can complete their degrees at Penn State Altoona or transfer to another Penn State location.

The third largest of Penn State's campuses, Penn State Altoona's 150-acre campus is nestled in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania, two hours east of Pittsburgh, two hours north of Harrisburg, and an hour west of State College, home to Penn State's University Park campus. The campus offers students the appeal of a small, private college with the name recognition of a major research university. From the moment students arrive on campus, they notice something special about Penn State Altoona. It might be the groves of mature shade trees that greet them as they walk across campus or the beautiful reflecting pond with the student center at one end and a picturesque all-faiths chapel at the other. These special touches have drawn a student body of about 4,200, including international student...

I visited PSU Altoona campus lately and thought maybe my thoughts could help someone else. This was a normal admissions visit with a 45 minute admissions presentation and an hour long campus tour. Just for information's sake, I am currently a junior interested in entering the College of Agricultural Sciences and majoring in Animal Science. If there are any questions just ask!

http://bookinghunter.com Philadelphia is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the second largest city on the East Coast of the United States, and the fifth-most-populous city in the United States.[1] It is located in the Northeastern United States along the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers, and it is the only consolidated city-county in Pennsylvania. The most important places to visit in Philadelphia are: Franklin Court (was raised in 1812, the ghost of it still stands today. Here is the Christ Church Burial Ground, another famous landmark, where Ben Franklin and four other signers of the Declaration of Independence were laid to rest), Congress Hall (was home of the first Congress. On top of that, George Washington and John Adams were inaugurated here, and the Bill of Righ...
http://www.clubs.psu.edu/up/iranian This presentation was produced by members of the Iranian Student Association (ISA) at the Pennsylvania State University for ISA's 2013 Noe-Rooz Gala. It was primarily intended to provide non-Iranians with a glimpse of the geographical, cultural, and ethnic diversity of our beloved country, Iran. ISA has decided to share this presentation with the proviso that the material contained therein may not necessarily provide the best representation of the different regions of our great country. It is by no means intended to be a comprehensive representation of the geographical, cultural, and ethnic diversity of Iran. Songs: Daram miram be Tehran (Andy), Vabastat Shodam (Ahmad Saeedi), Aha boogoo (Gilaki), Ronak (bijan mortazavi), Bari Bakh (MANSOUR), Sozale (Ra...
