Master Ministry 030 - The New Testament Church- God’s Place
After taking a careful study of the word “church” in the
New Testament I was challenged to rethink my beliefs.
Previously I had understood the church was a universal, invisible body of believers.
However when I examined the
Scriptures I realized there was NO solid reason to believe that teaching.
I had to revisit previously held beliefs and reexamine how I would do ministry.
Your view of what a church is will radically affect your understanding of the
Bible and how you practice ministry.
Master Ministry 030 - The New Testament Church- God’s Place
That study led me to look at other institutions that I had always taken for granted.
Places like
Bible colleges, mission boards and denominational affiliations.
I find NO reference to any of those institutions that are so prominent in our day
.
If the Bible has NO reference to them, then we must ask the question, why do we go to them, honor them and support them?
If you are ready to get out of your box that holds your ministry back and get into the book shoot me an email at pdhammett @ gmail.com
We will talk and see if I can recommend a course of action for you.

Does it really matter what church you attend? What
difference does it make if you are a Baptist, or an
Episcopalian, or a
Catholic, or a Lutheran, or a
Methodist?
The Bible teaches that the church you attend is VERY important because once you are saved, God expects you as a
Christian to follow His
Word and to be obedient to what He says. Therefore you need to be in a church that teaches and preaches the doctrines of the
Word of God correctly, so you can grow as a Christian. In this book,
Pastor Hammett gives three reasons or proofs why he believes that everyone who is saved ought to be a Baptist. Using
Scriptural Truth, Historical Truth, and Doctrinal Truth, he argues why he believes that the church
Jesus started was, in all ways other than maybe name, a
Baptist church. If the church that
Jesus Christ started was a Baptist church, then the church that you ought to belong to as a Christian ought to be a Baptist church.
