This 59 Chevy wagon is a nice find. This is an "Older restoration" of an original car in the original colors. WOW, A RED 59 Wagon! I wonder who ordered this car when new? Very bold colors for a big 9 passenger stationwagon! Whoever did the work on the car took the time and effort to do a pretty thorough restoration. Looks like all the glass came out and all the trim came off. Has new window channels and whiskers, all new weather strips, plenty of paint in all the hard places to cover. The engine is a bit pumped up, but has the 59 intake and carb- The headers and dual exhaust give it a cool sound. Those old Remington wide whites will be swapped out for some nice radial whites. And the car will get some cleaning and detail work. Look close at the rear tail light bezels and front hood/grill surrounds. The oxidation on these is what happens if you remove the anodized surface on aluminum trim. A Big mistake that I see some guys make when they restore aluminum trim.
NO, it is NOT FOR SALE, it is headed to one of my buddies that has been looking for a nice 59 Wagon for several years.

This 59 Chevy wagon is a nice find. This is an "Older restoration" of an original car in the original colors. WOW, A RED 59 Wagon! I wonder who ordered this car when new? Very bold colors for a big 9 passenger stationwagon! Whoever did the work on the car took the time and effort to do a pretty thorough restoration. This 59 Chevy wagon is a nice find. This is an "Older restoration" of an original car in the original colors. WOW, A RED 59 Wagon! I wonder who ordered this car when new? Very bold colors for a big 9 passenger stationwagon! Whoever did the work on the car took the time and effort to do a pretty thorough restoration. Looks like all the glass came out and all the trim came off. Has new window channels and whiskers, all new weather strips, plenty of paint in all the hard places to cover. The oxidation on these is what happens if you remove the anodized surface on aluminum trim. A Big mistake that I see some guys make when they restore aluminum trim.
NO, it is NOT FOR SALE, it is headed to one of my buddies that has been looking for a nice 59 Wagon for several years.

My thoughts on the Scenario: I enjoy Freight Runs, but not so much just "A to B" only. This Scenario just seemed bland, with all Green's except a couple Yellows for Diverging Track. The units were designed in collaboration between Freightliner and GE, with input being taken from drivers on the design of the cab layout.
Utilizing the GE PowerHaul P616 diesel engine, the locomotive was ordered to match existing haulage capacity with increased fuel efficiency, and is expected to be more efficient than it's contemporaries
both in general operation and under braking, where regenerative braking is being utilized.
In operational tests, 70001 hauled a 30-wagon train consisting of 60 ISO containers while 70002 hauled a 19 hopper 1300 tonne coal train in December of 2009.
