Cyndi Lauper’s new album seems like it has an apt title, “Detour” (Sire Records) ... “You’ve got to understand, when I grew up, at that time it was all Western,” Lauper says. “The motifs, all of it. Saturday mornings were cap guns, sugar-coated cereal, pony sticks and Westerns with Roy Rogers ...
