Ashley Gorley is an American songwriter and producer. Gorley graduated from Belmont University in 1999, and in 2001 signed with Combustion Music. He scored his first #1 with Carrie Underwood's “Don’t Forget To Remember Me” in 2006.
Hailing from Danville, Kentucky, United States, Gorley has been involved in six number one hits: Carrie Underwood’s “All-American Girl,” Trace Adkins’ “You’re Gonna Miss This,” the Brad Paisley / Keith Urban duet “Start A Band,” Darius Rucker’s “It Won’t Be Like This For Long,” and Brad Paisley’s “Then” and “American Saturday Night.” He also had a Top 5 hit with Jason Aldean’s “Laughed Until We Cried.”
Gorley has landed songs on the Country, AC, Contemporary Christian, and Pop charts. In the past several years, Gorley has been nominated for and won many awards. He was awarded the 2009 ASCAP Country Songwriter of the Year, also receiving Song of The Year honors for "You're Gonna Miss This" performed by Trace Adkins. To date, Gorley has received 8 ASCAP awards. He was nominated twice for CMA Song of the Year, won the ACM Single of the Year award in 2009, and is a 2-time Grammy nominee for Country Song of the Year. He has written seven #1 singles, and is the 2-time recipient of the CMA "Triple Play" award which recognizes writers with three #1 songs in one year. Also he made Billboard’s Top Ten Writers of the Year in 2008 & 2009.
