Here is the full film from our Andamans Expedition Trip to India. I hope it conveys the excitement we go through on these trips and captures the variety of fishing on offer and the buzz you can get from this type of blue water lure fishing.
Chasing down the dolphins which are hearding the big yellow fin tuna was some of the most crazy fishing I have ever done. Light jigging for all manner of reef fish was great fun on the right tackle too. Catching the big GT’s and dogtooth tunas was as brutal as ever.

Our second trip on the big blue chasing big GT's and doggies in the Andaman Islands India.
Another amazing trip in the very capable hands of gamefishingindia. Great weather this time and the fishing didn't disappoint, loads of surface hits on the poppers. We just need to get better at keeping the hooks in ! Jigging was fun too with some good doggies caught. Check out in the vid what took a 15lbs yellow fin tuna livebait !
Had some nice GT's to 25Kg, but lost a few much bigger. needed another holiday after a weeks fishing as our arms were dropping off !

Jarawa Tribe in Andaman Islands. Jarawas are one of the adivasi indigenous peoples of the Andaman Islands. Their present numbers are estimated at between 250-350 individuals. They have inhabited the islands for several thousand years. Before the 19th century Jarawa homelands were located in the southeast part of South Andaman Island. In 1997, a group of Jarawas made contact for the first time with the outside world. Now Jarawa are in regular contact with the outside world, which is not the best thing for them...
The Jarawas are said to be the darkest people (sociologically and scientifically speaking and not from a derogatory point of view) in the world.

According to Wikipedia: "The Jarawa (Hindi: , also Järawa, Jarwa) are one of the adivasi indigenous peoples of the Andaman Islands. Since they have largely shunned interactions with outsiders, many particulars of their society, culture and traditions are poorly understood. Their name means "foreigners" or "hostile people" in Aka-Bea.
Along with other indigenous Andamanese peoples, they have inhabited the islands for at least several thousand years, and most likely a great deal longer. For the greater portion of their history their only significant contact has been with other Andamanese groups; the experience of such a lengthy period of isolation almost completely lacking in external cultural influences is equaled by few other groups in the world, if at all.
There is some indication that the Jarawa regarded the now-extinct Jangil tribe as a parent tribe from which they split centuries or millennia ago, even though the Jarawa outnumbered (and eventually out-survived) the Jangil. The Jangil (also called the Rutland Island Aka Bea) were presumed extinct by 1931, sixteen years prior to Indian
independence.
Before the 19th century, the Jarawa homelands were located in the southeast part of South Andaman Island and nearby islets. With the establishment of the initial British settlement, these are suspected to have been largely depopulated by disease shortly after 1789. The Great Andamanese tribes were similarly decimated by disease, alcoholism and alleged British government-sponsored destruction, leaving open the western areas which the Jarawa gradually made their new homeland. The immigration of mainland Indian and Karen (Burmese) settlers, beginning about two centuries ago, accelerated this process. Prior to their initiating contact with settled populations in 1997, they were noted for vigorously maintaining their independence and distance from external groups, actively discouraging most incursions and attempts at contact. Since 1998, they have been in increasing contact with the outside world and have increasingly been the choosers of such contact. All contact, especially with tourists, remains extremely dangerous to the Jarawa due to the risk of disease. Of the remaining Andamanese peoples, only the Sentinelese have been able to maintain a more isolated situation, and their society and traditions persist with little variance from their practices they observed before the first significant contacts were made. Today the Jarawa are in regular contact with the outside world through settlements on the fringes of their Reserve, through daily contact with outsiders along the Andaman Trunk Road and at jetties, marketplaces and hospitals near the road and at settlements near the reserve."

The Andaman Islands are a group of Indian Ocean archipelagic islands in the Bay of Bengal, between India to the west and Burma to the north and east. Most of the islands are part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Union Territory of India, while a small number in the north of the archipelago belong to Burma.
The name "Andaman" first appears in the work of Arab geographers of the ninth century (Soleyman in 851),[citation needed], though it is uncertain whether ancient geographers like Ptolemy also knew of the Andamans but referred to them by a different name. They were also described as being inhabited by fierce cannibalistic tribes by the Persian navigator Buzurg ibn Shahriyar of Ramhormuz in his tenth century book Ajaib al-Hind (The wonders of India), in which he also mentioned an island he called Andaman al-Kabir (Great Andaman). During the Chola Dynasty period in South India (800-1200AD), which ruled an empire encompassing southeastern peninsular India, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Maldives, and large parts of current day Sri Lanka and Malaysia, the island group was referred to as Timaittivu (or impure islands).Marco Polo briefly mentions the Andamans (calling them by the name "Angamanain"), though it is uncertain whether he visited the islands, or whether he met the natives if he did, as he describes them as having heads like dogs. His remark about their features may be the second-hand account of a local resident or fellow traveler, which is a frequent cause for certain exaggerated descriptions in Marco Polo's travels. Another amazing trip in the very capable hands of gamefishingindia. Great weather this time and the fishing didn't disappoint, loads of surface hits on the poppers. We just need to get better at keeping the hooks in ! Jigging was fun too with some good doggies caught. Check out in the vid what took a 15lbs yellow fin tuna livebait !
Had some nice GT's to 25Kg, but lost a few much bigger. needed another holiday after a weeks fishing as our arms were dropping off !

Here is our film trailer from our recent Andamans Expedition Trip to India. I hope it conveys the excitement we go through on these trips and captures the variety of fishing on offer and the buzz you can get from this type of blue water lure fishing.
Chasing down the dolphins which are hearding the big yellow fin tuna was some of the most crazy fishing I have ever done. Light jigging for all manner of reef fish was great fun on the right tackle too. Catching the big GT’s and dogtooth tunas was as brutal as ever.

Many fish were caught on the trip but here is just a little taste, including some nice yellowfin tunas caught by Sami on topwater. This includes on tuna caught on a new CB One prototype rod.
