When traveling north of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, you will eventually reach the beaches located in the Warringah Area. This area encompasses approximately 152 square kilometres, much of which is made up of gorgeous coastline and nine different beaches.
Inland from the beaches lies roughly six thousand hectares of natural Australian bushland. The northern border of the Warringah Area is marked by the beautiful Narrabeen Lagoon, and the southern border is punctuated by the Manly Lagoon. The Manly Area overlaps somewhat with Warringah. The Dee Why and Curl Lagoons are located within the region as well.
Warringah consists of dozens of suburbs and localities, with a population of over 140,000. A tramline and the Sydney Harbour Bridge allowed for more travel and development to come to this area, and for the suburbs in the northern reaches to expand and grow significantly over the last several decades.
