Nowra-Bomaderry

Nowra is a prominent city located within the southern stretch of the Sydney Basin. By road, Nowra is approximately 160 kilometres south, southwest from Sydney, and is located within New South Wales. The terminus of the South Coast railway line is in this region.

Just north of Nowra, across the Shoalhaven River, is Bomaderry, often considered Nowra's twin city and a suburb of Nowra. The two together are known as Nowra-Bomaderry and are home to approximately 35,000 residents. Some notable citizens of Nowra-Bomaderry have included rugby player Michael O'Connor, swimmer Karen Phillips, and football player Adam Federici.

With just over 11,000 households, a large majority of the population of Nowra-Bomaderry, nearly 88%, were born in Australia, where approximately 7.5% of the residents immigrated from Europe, and 6.1% of the population indigenous Australians. This area has many prestigious schools, including the award winning Bomaderry High School.
