The Snake Woman is a low budget 1961 British horror film directed by Sidney J. Furie and starring Susan Travers, John McCarthy.
Over many years, a brilliant scientist in a turn of the century English village successfully keeps his wife's mental illness under control by injecting her with snake venom. When the wife dies giving birth to a daughter, a local witch claims that the child is pure evil and must be destroyed. The scientist is killed by an angry mob, but the baby girl is miraculously saved with the help of an understanding doctor. 19 years later several corpses are discovered on the moors, containing lethal amounts of snake poison. Fearful villagers believe the curse of the snake woman has struck, but a young Scotland Yard inspector is sceptical of the supernatural as he begins his investigation.
Jennifer Chambers Lynch (born April 7, 1968) is an American film director and screenwriter, also known for writing the book The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer.
Lynch was born in Philadelphia. She is the daughter of artist and filmmaker David Lynch, who is responsible for her Finnish ancestry, and painter Peggy Reavey. She began practicing Transcendental Meditation at the age of six.
Lynch was educated in Los Angeles and Michigan at Interlochen Arts Academy. Together with her mother, Lynch made a brief appearance in her father's feature film debut film Eraserhead, but her appearance was not included in the final cut. Lynch subsequently worked as a production assistant on Blue Velvet (1986), also directed by her father.
Lynch's commissioned screenplay for Boxing Helena, which she would later go on to direct, attracted many actresses, including Madonna.Sherilyn Fenn, one of the stars in her father's television series Twin Peaks and the film Wild at Heart, was ultimately cast as leading character Helena. Kim Basinger was also attached and was famously sued after resigning from the project. The controversy surrounding that case, as well as feminist outcry over Helena's sadistic subject matter and accusations of nepotism, accompanied the movie's critical drubbing upon its release in 1993.

She is the star shining at the center of the earth.
She is alive, crying for her children to return.
The bride awaits the promise of the prophets to carry her away.
Born again, the blood of men,
The desert rejoice, blossom as the rose.
She, Israel,
She, Israel,
She is the heart of it all, bride of the lamb,
Start of the fall, her time is at hand.
She is the end, dying;
She is brought back from the sword,
She will arise, destiny,
Then the temple is restored.
Her birth is pain.
To finish her transgression 'til only time remains.
Born in war, bound for deceit,
Weep for your children, weep not for me.
She, Israel,
She, Israel,
She is the heart of it all, bride of the lamb,
Start of the fall, her time is at hand.
O, Israel; O, Israel.
