I was on the Metro North train, heading for Manhattan, New York, when I noticed a little girl, kneeling next to her Mother. She was kneeling, facing the rushing scenes of the outdoors, through the window of the train. She was holding two Barbie dolls in both hands ... I haven’t seen a child do that in years ...
