Tony Craig Tucker (born December 27, 1958) is a retired professional heavyweight boxer. Tucker fought professionally from 1980 to 1998. Nicknamed "TNT," he won a gold medal at the 1979 Pan American Games, and was briefly a world heavyweight champion as a professional.
Tucker had a notable amateur career, winning the 1979 National AAU Light Heavyweight Championship. He also won the 1979 Pan-Ams and World Cup at Light Heavyweight. He also lost a decision to LeRoy Murphy in the finals of the 1977 Ohio State Fair tournament, and was upset at the Western Olympic trials in 1980 by Alex DeLucia.[citation needed]
After turning pro in 1980, Tucker's early fights were often shown on NBC, as part of a collection known as Tomorrow's Champions.
Tucker's progress in the professional ranks was slow. He was injury prone, and he changed managers and trainers several times. Eventually his father Bob Tucker performed both roles. After enjoying a high profile upon his professional debut, Tucker spent the majority of the 80s boxing in off-TV bouts. In addition, he injured his knee in a bout against Danny Sutton, which caused him to miss a little over a year.

Michael Gerard "Mike" Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is a retired American professional boxer. Tyson is a former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles at 20 years, 4 months and 22 days old. Tyson won his first 19 professional bouts by knockout, with 12 of them occurring in the first round. He won the WBC title in 1986 after defeating Trevor Berbick by a TKO in the second round. In 1987, Tyson added the WBA and IBF titles after defeating James Smith and Tony Tucker. He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, and the only heavyweight to individually unify them.
In 1988, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in the first 91 seconds of the fight. Tyson successfully defended the world heavyweight championship nine times, including victories over Larry Holmes and Frank Bruno. Tyson lost his titles to 42-to-1 underdog James "Buster" Douglas on February 11, 1990, in Tokyo, Japan, by a knockout in round 10. Tyson continued in his quest to regain the titles, defeating Donovan Ruddock twice in 1991. Tyson was then scheduled to take on the undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield but pulled out due to injury.

Gerald McClellan (born October 23, 1967 in Freeport, Illinois) is a former boxer from the United States of America, who was the WBO and WBC middleweight champion. McClellan's record as a professional boxer was 31 wins and 3 losses with 29 wins by knockout. He is rated #27 on Ring Magazine's list of 100 Greatest Punchers Of All-Time.
McClellan became a professional boxer in 1988. Trained by hall of fame trainer Emanuel Steward, he captured the WBO middleweight title by knocking out John Mugabi in one round in 1991, and the WBC's version by knocking out Julian Jackson in five rounds in May 1993. He defended the WBC title three times, including a first round stoppage of Jackson in a rematch. http://www.geraldmcclellan.com/
McClellan moved up in weight to challenge WBC super middleweight champion Nigel Benn in London on February 25, 1995. The fight was watched by an estimated 17 million people on television and 10,300 paying spectators.
McClellan dropped Benn, who went out of the ring in round one. They continued battling, but the fight had a devastating ending. McClellan knocked Benn down again in the eighth round but Benn was able to continue and after enduring numerous punches from Benn, McClellan slumped to one knee in round ten. He took the mandatory eight count, resumed boxing, but soon dropped to his knee for a second time. He was counted out. He returned to his corner but appeared to be unable to stand and lost consciousness. McClellan briefly regained consciousness in the ambulance and ripped off his oxygen mask.

HBO's coverage of the interviews and post match thoughts after Mike Tyson, the WBA/ WBC world heavyweight champion, had outpointed Tony Tucker, the IBF world heavyweight champion in order to unify the heavyweight division. Taking place on August 1st, 1987, in Las Vegas, Tyson had put on a good performance against stiff opposition offered by Tucker to receive a unanimous decision. Arguably, the toughest opponent Tyson had fought up until this point, Tucker rocked Tyson in the first round and in the early rounds fought aggressively whilst using skill. However, Tyson showed good ring intelligence to adapt and find his rhythm as the fight went on, to discourage Tucker's offence whilst throwing an increasing amount of power punches himself. Taking place on August 1st, 1987, in Las Vegas, Tyson had put on a good performance against stiff opposition offered by Tucker to receive a unanimous decision. Arguably, the toughest opponent Tyson had fought up until this point, Tucker rocked Tyson in the first round and in the early rounds fought aggressively whilst using skill. However, Tyson showed good ring intelligence to adapt and find his rhythm as the fight went on, to discourage Tucker's offence whilst throwing an increasing amount of power punches himself. At the end of the fight, Tucker tried to unsettle Tyson with taunts, however this was too little and too late as Tyson was declared the first unified heavyweight champion since Leon Spinks in 1978.
It was at this time, that the public were starting to grow cravings to see Tyson fight Larry Holmes' conqueror, Michael Spinks to determine who the real champion is, as the undefeated former light-heavyweight, was considered the lineal champion by The Ring Magazine. Meanwhile, Tony 'TNT' Tucker would go on to fight Lennox Lewis again for the WBC version of the heavyweight championship, losing a unanimous decision.
