Robert Wesley "Bobby" Troup Jr. (October 18, 1918 – February 7, 1999) was an American actor, jazz pianist, singer and songwriter. He is best known for writing the popular standard "(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66", and for his role as Dr. Joe Early, opposite his real-life wife Julie London's character, in the 1970s US TV series, Emergency!
Troup was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from The Hill School, a preparatory school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, in 1937. He went on to graduate Phi Beta Kappa from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in economics. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (ΣΑΕ) fraternity and the Mask and Wig Club.
His earliest musical success came with the song "Daddy", written for a Mask and Wig production, which was a regional hit in 1941. Sammy Kaye and His Orchestra recorded "Daddy", which was number one for 8 weeks on the Billboard Best Seller chart and the number five record of 1941; other artists also recorded it in 1941, including Glenn Miller and His Orchestra, The Andrews Sisters, Bing Crosby and Kay Kyser. "Daddy" can be heard in the 1941 film Two Latins from Manhattan. In the same year, Troup's song "Snootie Little Cutie" was recorded by Frank Sinatra and Connie Haines with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and the Pied Pipers.
Bobby is a nickname for Robert, Roberta, Robin, or Babu.

Julie London (born Gayle Peck; September 26, 1926 – October 18, 2000) was an American nightclub, jazz and pop singer, film and television actress and a former pinup model, whose career span five decades of television. She was noted for her smoky, sensual husky voice and languid demeanor. She released 32 albums of pop and jazz standards during the 1950s and 1960s, with her signature song being the classic "Cry Me a River", which she introduced in 1955. She had also appeared as a guest on several talk shows and as a panelist on numerous game shows.
London's 35-year acting career began in films in 1944, and included playing opposite Rock Hudson in The Fat Man (1951), Gary Cooper in Man of the West (1958) and Robert Mitchum in The Wonderful Country (1959). She achieved continuing success in the television medical drama Emergency! (1972–1979), co-starring her real-life husband, Bobby Troup, and produced by her ex-husband, Jack Webb, in which London played the female lead role of Nurse Dixie McCall.

Night Shyamalan. The difference here is that the filmmakers, a comedy troupe known as The Minor Prophets, are intentionally trying to make us laugh. Kind of like Broken Lizard’s Club, except funny. As played by TMP regular David Amadio, football player Bobby Makefield is somewhere between 12 and 35 years old. Bobby is at loggerheads with his dad (Gil Damon). That’s because Mr. Makefield botched a call while officiating one of Bobby’s games, thus preventing his son from scoring the winning touchdown. He instigates a c...

Dangit! I spelled Shugert wrong in the video. My bad. I'll change it in version 2. This video is about natural resources. I remember sitting at school and looking at a map with little icons on it. There was wheat in Illinois, silver in Nevada, and potash (whatever that is) in Utah. I think Ohio had a lump of mud. I always wanted us to have something more exotic. I shall want no more. We may not have pineapple or sugar like Hawaii, but we do have Shugert, which is now a local synonym for cash-money-diamond rings. Yes, it is raining money in south eastern Ohio. So with a little St. Patrick's Day luck, "Pour Some Shugert on Me". Cheesy? No, cheese is up in Wisconsin. And I'm running out of titles... I took a break from directing and producing for about three years, diving head first into the wonderful and terrifying world of improv. Although Ive acted in various types of improv shows, the highlight of my time doing improv was my duo and collaboration with Paul Normandin, Two Guys From Yonkers. Neither of us had ever been, which made our troupe name perfect for improv, but these two characters, Paulie and Bobby, kept on appearing in the classes that he and I were taking, so we created a duo and off we went. At the time of this writing, we had performed in (25) shows covering several years. This particular show was from FronteraFest in Austin, TX - 2013.

They like to chat about the dresses they will wear tonight
They chew the fat about their tresses and the neighbours' fight
Inconsequential things that men don't really care to know
Become essential things that women find so apropos
But that's a dame
They're all the same
It's just a game
They call it girl talk, girl talk
They all me-ouw about the ups and downs of all their friends
The who, the how, the why, they dish the dirt, it never ends
The weaker sex, the speaker sex, we mortal males behold
But though we joke, we wouldn't trade you for a ton of gold
So baby stay, and gab away
But hear me say
That after girl talk
Talk to me
Composed by Neal Hefti, NOT Elvis Costello
But that's a dame
They're all the same
It's just a game
They call it girl talk, girl talk
So baby stay, and gab away
But hear me say
That after girl talk
Talk to me
