Erik Francis Schrody (born August 18, 1969), known by his stage name Everlast, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, known for his solo hit "What It's Like" and as the front-man for rap group House of Pain. He was also part of the hip-hop supergroup La Coka Nostra, which consists of members of House of Pain and other rappers. In 2000, he won a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal with Latin Rock musician Carlos Santana for "Put Your Lights On."
Emerging as a member of the Rhyme Syndicate, Everlast's first solo album Forever Everlasting (1990), largely made possible by MC Ice-T, was a disappointment commercially. Following the album's failure, Everlast teamed up with DJ Lethal and high school friend Danny Boy to form House of Pain in Los Angeles, CA. Including Ice-T, they all attended Taft High School. The group was signed to Tommy Boy Records, and their eponymous debut album (1992) went multi-platinum, spawning the successful DJ Muggs produced single "Jump Around". This song was also remixed twice by Pete Rock, one version featuring a verse from him and one without. The album also featured Cypress Hill member, B-Real, on the song "Put Your Head Out".

Los Angeles-based chanteuse Tawny Ellis: A potent brew of Patsy Cline, The Pretenders and Neil Young, her current release “I To You” was produced by Ellis and her partner Gio Loria. Tawny stepped into the role of producer and has created an orchestral, personal album that cuts straight to the bone. With her stark arrangements and sweeping melodies she speaks of love, loss, doubt, heartbreak, running away and Whiskey. She insists on “real” performances and many of the songs are live takes recorded in a farmhouse in the South of France in the winter of 2010 on her Laptop. Minimal over dubs were added including violin, viola, steel guitar and drums (on just a few songs). Ellis is a minimalist to say the least and it is effective in it’s presentation. Other notable musicians appearing on “I T...

All my money's spent
All my prayers been said
Walking up that hill
Legs are nearly dead
It won't be long at all
Heartbeats tick away
Feel it in my bones
Will I see the day,
Pay off all these loans?
It won't be long at all
It won't be long at all
Long and winding roads
I walked 'em all in vain
When that trumpet blows
Hope they call my name
Won't be long at all
Put your rifles down
Abandon all your arms
Sing your prayers out loud
The Gospel's in your song
Cuz it won't be long at all
No it won't be long at all
It won't be long at all
Stop your warring ways
Only kill your?
Pollute your seasoned skies
Kindness to your mom
It won't be long at all
It won't be long at all
Teach your children well
Beg them to be kind
Cuz they'll be running shit
When you're old, deaf, dumb, and blind.
And it won't be long at all
No, it won't be long at all
It won't be long at all
